A study of Ciwidey-Patuha geothermal field using TOUGH2 reservoir simulation has been conducted. The purpose of this study is to verify and update previous Ciwidey-Patuha conceptual models. The numerical model of vapour-dominated reservoir with steam zone underlying liquid reservoir is constructed based on detail reservoir characterization from geoscience and well data. The reservoir boundary is defined based on TCH (temperature core hole) wells. The distribution of porosity, pressure, temperature and steam saturation are assessed. The model is validated by matching downhole data on pressure and temperature during exploration stage. Then for exploitation stage, the model is validated using reservoir pressure.

The Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami occurred on December 26, 2004, has been one of the deadliest disasters in modern history. Banda Aceh City is one of the severely affected cities by the disaster. Many of the casualties were due to lack of knowledge in the community about the disaster and preparedness in facing the disaster. Now, after more than 10 years since the deadly disaster, the Indonesian government has created disaster risk maps for the provincial level and utilizing some of the provincial level parameters to create a district-or city-level risk maps. The purpose of this study was to analyze the dynamics of physical and social vulnerabilities at the district level over the last 10 years and to evaluate the sensitivity of the disaster vulnerability values by down-scaling the parameter values to the district or city level. This study is using Geographic Information System (GIS), which spatial data are encompassing the infrastructure, housings and the growth of population at risk up to the year 2017. The results reveal the remarkable distribution of risk levels at each investigated village. The physical vulnerability is valued moderately in Banda Aceh city about 54% whereby Gampong Laksana at Kuta Alam sub-district are among the highest vulnerability areas (0.933). As for the social vulnerability is valued high in Banda Aceh city, the highest vulnerable areas are located in Punge Ujong at Meuraxa sub-district (0.833). Overall, the vulnerability parameter value for a tsunami disaster in Banda Aceh city remains high, particularly at those villages located very close to the sea. More mitigation effort should, therefore, be reinforced at those highly risky coastal areas.

Information system technology in the agroindustries sector has been developed. One of these is system of traceability based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Before RFID developed identification information of agro-products using a barcode system. Currently RFID implementation in the agro-industry sector to identify product information safety quality tracking and control of the environment is still very limited. In fact RFID implementation petrified decision makers to make a quick decision to directly monitor the movement of agro products through the data or interface with a computer program. This review discusses the development of RFID system in agro-industry. The implementation of RFID for product safety and quality. To implement RFID technology for tracking. The ability of RFID sensor to control the environment around the product. Testing the accuracy of RFID system in the agro-industry. Output application of RFID in the agro-industry is the identification data and a better selection of products to meet the standards and minimize elimination and return of products in global trade.

Explosive population and economic development in the city has forced engineer to design and build more vertical buildings. In order to be resilient in earthquake prone region, these tall buildings have to achieve a specific level of performance under earthquake loading. A comprehensive methodology for assessing the seismic performance is required which can be attained by developing structural fragility function of the structure. Fragility curves is a probabilistic function relating damage level (engineering demand parameter) with intensity measure, i.e. spectral acceleration. This paper investigates the seismic performance of moment resisting frame as compared to frame-wall system of structures. The structural response of fully deterministic structural models was, then, analyzed employing nonlinear pushover analysis yielding capacity spectrums. For each capacity spectrum in every building system, the damage states were defined, whereas average inter-story drift values for each damage state were converted into corresponding amount of spectral acceleration leading to the development of fragility curves. The paper is concluded by carrying out evaluation of the damage state based on HAZUS-MH MR5 and ATC-40.

The present study is part of the development of an environment-friendly water management system based on sub surface drainage technology. It is aimed at creating a multipurpose farmland with expectation of increase in both benefits and productivity. Sub-surface drainage pipes which are installed inside mole-drain, functions as water channel that flows water into the drainage channel. Simulation was run using a 2D numerical soil water flow model based on Richard's equation. It integrates varying soil textures with aim of figuring the optimum setting of sub-drains in response to soil textures. The depth of sub-drain was established at 40cm beneath the surface for all conditions as it is the current installation available in Indonesia. Our simulation shows the variation of soil moisture and pressure over distance, time and different textures under specified spacing of sub-surface installation.

The stearic acid modified zinc oxide nanorod surface was coated with a stainless steel substrate to improve the contact angle and the sliding angle. Facilitated through ZnO seeding on the substrate, the ZnO nanorod was deposited via chemical bath deposition at different precursor concentrations. The surface hydrophobicity was modified by varying concentrations of stearic acid at and submmersion time. The contact angle was investigated in relation to the surface microstructure and modification. Results indicate that the density of ZnO nanorods on the substrate surface and stearic acid coverage are prerequisites for improving surface hydrophobicity. Superhydrophobic properties with a contact angle of 162° was obtained for ZnO deposited with 35 mM zinc nitrate and submerged in 8 mM stearic acid for 36 h, which allowed 5 μL water droplets to slide at 3.8°.

The mangroves are among the most at-risk coastal ecosystems, which are especially vulnerable to sea-level rise. This study aimed to know the growth capacity and biochemical defense of mangrove seedlings of Rhizophora mucronata under different sea water logging at experimental condition in Kendari bay, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. Results showed that maximum leaf area, intrinsic rate increase of leaf area and relative growth rate (RGR) of height of the R. mucronata seedlings were significantly higher at treatment of 45 cm from the ground than other treatments, whereas RGR of diameter was the higher at treatment of 30 cm from the ground. Meanwhile, half expansion period leaf area was almost similar for all treatment. However, the carbon and nitrogen ratio in leaves of R. mucronata seedlings was significantly higher at seawater logging of 0 cm from the ground. The flavonoid and vitamin C concentrations in R. mucronata seedlings were higher at higher level inundation indicating protective role of these compounds under seawater logging stress.

Rubber commodity is one of the superior commodities in South Sumatra. The main problem of the rubber industry that remains unsolved is that the product has a low quality due to poor handling of its raw material. Most farmers, in South Sumatera, often uses coagulant that are not recommended, namely sulfuric acid or para vinegar, alum, TSP fertilizer, a combination of para and alum vinegar, and others such as yam, and tempe washing water. Para vinegar, TSP fertilizer, alum and pineapple/ pineapple juice are acidic which cause smells of ammonia and sulfides. The liquid waste generated in the material process pollutes the environment if it is not properly intervened. Material handling in a rubber factory causes several illnesses for workers. However, the correlation of pollutants with these illnesses are not yet and become the focal point of this report.

There are some types of scheduling problems in the production line of manufacturing. One of the most multiple usages of the operational machine for doing some jobs is job shop scheduling. The implementation of the job shop problem in this study uses the input of random order of eight job numbers. The raw materials for the job numbers to do the process and the five type machines are considered. The machines work in different functions to do the jobs for some materials. The materials have processed the work in process (WIP) before they are sent to the warehouse. The proposed of this study is to find the optimal condition of job shop scheduling heuristic and deterministic rules to minimize the makespan, tardiness with the heuristic and some deterministic rules in the Lekin software. The heuristic methods are General SBRoutine and the DASH (shifting bottleneck). The deterministic use Critical Ratio (CR) Rule, First come First Serve Rule (FCFS), Longest Processing Time (LPT), Shortest Processing Time (SPT), Weighted Shortest Processing Time (WSPT) and Machine Sequence (MS). The result shows that the minimum makespan is FCFS method with 47 minutes, the tardiness is 27, and for the machine no3. It produces the effective percentage of The contras deviation performance among the jobs of DASH, and compare to the FCFS is as follow, DASH, LPT, MS, SPT, WSPT are increasing 4.26%; 31,91%; 8.51%; 4.26% and 12.77% respectively.
