The form concept of Kudus traditional house in Langgar Dalem village

Javanese Traditional houses have many variations, one of them is Kudus traditional house. Today, condition of Kudus traditional houses is very apprehensive. Hundreds of traditional houses have been lost because they are sold to various cities and countries. It takes conservation effort of Kudus Traditional House (pencu house) with conservation based on local wisdom. The purpose of this study to understand the form concept of Kudus traditional house. Location is on Langgar Dalem village, Kota sub-distric, Kudus Regency, where there are several Kudus traditional houses which are still awake in their local wisdom. This research using analytical descriptive method. In the research known that the form of Kudus traditional house in Langgar Dalem Village is “Joglo-Pencu” who look mighty and elegant. This symbolizes the inhabitants physical form (handsome and mighty). The inhabitants of the house is symbolized as Sang Sukma, who merges, filling, taking care, maintaining and guard own home with the best. Joglo Pencu house looks towering toward the sky, symbolizing the high power of God over man. The roof of Kudus traditional house in Langgar Dalem village is made from tile. Above the tile there are gendeng, which in general pattern of gendeng head is plant (salur-saluran) as a feature of Islamic culture. Gendeng types located in Langgar Dalem Kudus Village is Gendeng Wedok (gelak cekak), Gendeng Gajah (escort gendeng in rooftop), and Gendeng Raja (middle gendeng on rooftop). Saka Guru and Umpak in Kudus traditional house is no ornament. The Kudus traditional house stands on a base consisting of 5 (five) traps above the surface of the ground, namely Bancik kapisan (bottom trap), Bachik kapindho (second trap from below), Bancik ketelu (third trap from below), Jogan Jogosatru (Trap floor of the front room), Jogan Lebet (indoor floor trap). This document describes the procedure to calculate the LST (Land Surface Temperature). The series of steps and equations is described using the thermal bands offered by the LandSat 8 satellite and the ArcGIS program tools. Although there are other methods and tools this procedure explicitly breaks down the use of information.

Feasibility study on Structural Health Monitoring Systems Using Fiber-Optic Sensors (FOS) Technology for Transportation Infrastructures in Indonesia

Objective of this research is on the feasibility study to determine the possibility of using fiber optic sensor technology for monitoring structural health and integrity of transportation and civil infrastructures such as bridges and roads in Indonesia. Two aspects are discussed: cost-effective analysis and innovative technology applications. This paper presents the review results based on literature surveys and vendor product brochures of fiber-optic sensors for infrastructure health monitoring applications which could be used as a preliminary study and recommendation for current government regarding the implementation of fiber optic sensor in Indonesia. Since we realized that this topic spans out many disciplines, we limited our goal to only providing the basic conceptual framework. But experts interview will also be made in the future as supporting evidences (proofs) that the use of fiber-optic sensor technology makes it possible to realize the continuous, real-time, and automatic transportation infrastructural health monitoring. As compared to the previous conventional sensor technology, fiber optic sensor is introduced as one of smart structure sensors which is predicted as a more cost-effective and innovative solution among those. Hopefully, Indonesian government will be strongly committed to build or provide those worth optical fiber sensors in the future for the benefit of society.

Data Mining: The Classification Method to Predict the Types of Motorcycle Spare Parts to be Restocked

The research intends to create an application which is able to analyse sales data in a motorcycle company to predict the types of spare parts which should be stocked. This prediction is crucial since problems are often encountered while restocking. For instance, when there have been some imprecisions occurring in deciding regarding the types of spare parts to restock, the spare parts accumulate. It can cause inefficiency in terms of storage, the products quality deteriorates due to having been stored for too long, and sometimes the best-selling products are not available in the warehouse. This application is developed with Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) method which has a high accuracy in predicting future occurrences. This method works by calculating the probability value in each attribute class and determining the optimal probability value. From the test results, 4500 training data with 200 sample test data has 90% similarity with the results of the restock decision without application. For 500 test data, the similarity was 96%. It is proven that this method has a high accuracy so that it can help the decision makers solved the company problem in predicting the types of motorcycle parts to be restocked.

Mayenite or 12CaO.7Al2O3 has been known as a major component of alumina cements. There were abundant of discovery inorganic electrides [Ca24Al28O64]4+(e−)4 as unique properties, high electron concentration and low work function which are comparable with alkali metals but these materials are chemically inert in an ambient atmosphere. The severe reducing treatment synthesis was used to substitute electrons for anions in cage completely. In this work, we synthesized inorganic mayenite electrides [Ca24Al28O64]4+(e−)4 from 12CaO.7Al2O3 with carbon black in mild condition (less than 1,600°C). The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM and electrical resistivity measurement. The samples with carbon black was easy to pull out the free oxygen ions in cages. Furthermore, there were carbon shells that enclosed with 12CaO.7Al2O3 crystals surface. This carbon shells prevented agglomeration of particles at very high temperature, so the electrides can be happened inside the carbon shell. This process was lead to save the energy for transformation Mayenite as electrical insulator materials to [Ca24Al28O64]4+(e−)4 as high electrical conductivity materials.

Synthesis of biodiesel from palm oil with dimethyl carbonate and methanol as reagent variation using KOH and enzyme catalyst

Biodiesel is a methyl ester transesterification process from the result of triglyceride with a methyl reagent source using a catalyst. One of novel reagent used is Dimethyl Carbonate (DMC) which can eliminate the formation of glycerol as the byproduct through the reaction resulting a compound of glycerol dicarbonate. The advantage of this compound has the same physical properties and to be a mixture in one phase liquid product with methyl ester. Lipase is a hydrolase enzyme that can catalyze the formation of fatty acid molecule from the triglyceride containing oil in the reaction of transesterification. The purpose of this research is to produce biodiesel product by observing the formation of one phase mixture of biodiesel product from the palm oilusing methanol and DMC as the reagent, KOH and lipase catalyst andthe variation of molar ratio of the oil. To obtain the best biodiesel quality examined by four characteristics: methyl ester (FAME) content, density, viscosity, and cloud point. The result of this research is that biodiesel can be produced by both reagent, and for biodiesel by DMC there was only one-phase biodiesel formed without impurities shown visually. For catalyst variation, the best biodiesel produced by methanol is biodiesel with KOH catalyst and has 98.2% ester content, 0.858 g/ml density, and 4.58 cSt viscosity. The best biodiesel produced by dimethyl carbonate is biodiesel with KOH catalyst and has 89.0% ester content, 0.883 g/ml density, and 4.91 cSt viscosity.

This study was conducted as a response to address the problem of land availability for Cipayung landfill that no longer able to accommodate waste generation Depok City and to protect water pollution in receiving water body. Law No. 8/2008 explained that local governments and cities are required to create a sanitary landfill as a final waste processing system to replace open dumping that had been done by almost all the final processing of waste in cities in Indonesia. Sanitary landfill is the final waste processing system that works best and is environmentally friendly. The sanitary landfill will generate leachate. Leachate is the result of precipitation, evaporation, surface runoff, water infiltration into the waste, and also including the water contained in the waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of leachate generated by three years aged *** study use a modeling tools as bioreactor landfill tank or so called lysimetric, that made of the polymer material that susceptible to high heat and pressure. This bioreactor landfill tank has a diameter of 0.83 m, with a surface area of 0.54 m2 and a height of 2.02 m, with the examination duration of 115 days. This tank consists of several layer, such as sand layer, solid waste layer, water layer and piping system. These layer has 3 year aged. The In this research, leachate recirculation in bioreactor landfills was conducted with waste layered loading systems with percolation system. This research has been conducted since the beginning of 2016, sampling, field measurement and analysis of leachate and waste quality carried out for approximately 115 days of field *** parameter were measured such as pH, BOD, COD, nitrate, nitrite and TSS. From the analysis of the leachate quality parameters of pH, BOD, COD, nitrite, TSS, showed a reduction in the concentration of the three reactors. The flourishing of topological photonics in the last decade was achieved mainly due to developments in linear topological photonic structures. However, when nonlinearity is introduced, many intriguing questions arise. For example, are there universal fingerprints of underlying topology when modes are coupled by nonlinearity, and what can happen to topological invariants during nonlinear propagation? To explore these questions, here we experimentally demonstrate nonlinearity-induced coupling to topologically protected edge states using a photonic platform, and theoretically develop a general framework for interpreting the mode-coupling dynamics in nonlinear topological systems. Performed in laser-written photonic Su-Schrieffer-Heeger lattices, our experiments reveal nonlinear coupling of light into a nontrivial edge or interface defect channel otherwise not permissible due to topological protection. Our theory explains well all the observations. Furthermore, we introduce the concepts of inherited and emergent nonlinear topological phenomena, and a protocol capable of unveiling the interplay of nonlinearity and topology. These concepts are applicable for other nonlinear topological systems, either in higher dimensions or beyond our photonic platform. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The effect of calcium hydroxide, alkali dilution and calcium concentration in mitigating the alkali silica reaction using palm oil fuel ash

This study investigated the mechanism of how POFA mitigated the ASR expansion. Two types of POFA; the UPOFA and GPOFA with different fineness were used to replace the cement at 20% and 40% and their effects on the mortar bar expansion, calcium hydroxide, alkali dilution, and calcium concentration were investigated. The results showed that UPOFA has a significant ability to mitigate the ASR, even at a lower level of replacement (20%) compared to GPOFA. The mechanism of UPOFA in mitigating the ASR expansion was through a reduction in the calcium hydroxide content, which produced low calcium concentration within the mortar pore solution. Low pore solution alkalinity signified that UPOFA had good alkali dilution effect. Meanwhile, a higher dosage of GPOFA was required to mitigate the ASR expansion. An increase in the pore solution alkalinity of GPOFA mortar indicated higher penetration of alkalis from the NaOH solution, which reduced the alkali dilution effect. However, this was compensated by the increase in the cement dilution effect at higher GPOFA replacement, which controlled the mortar bar expansion below the ASTM limit.
