The purpose of this research is to optimize the integration of digital marketing through the role of the millennial generation as an effort for MSMEs to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic. To survive during this COVID-19 pandemic, the role of the millennial generation needs to be maximized by adopting a digital mindset because the presence of technology is very closely related to the millennial generation. all activities and mindsets that arise from the current millennial generation are closely related to technology to carry out management functions in MSMEs. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research because this research aims to make a systematic, factual, and accurate picture or painting of the facts, characteristics and relationships between phenomena regarding the development of the Creative Industry in the Handicraft Sector in Bengkulu City. To optimize the integration of digital marketing as an effort to survive the MSMEs during the Covid 19 Pandemic, MSME actors need to optimize the millennial generation by: Adopting a digital mindset (digital mindset), Using new models, Formulating new strategies, Implementing effective strategies, Generating sustainability. © 2021 IEEE.

The available prophylactic vaccines for human papillomavirus (HPV) in the market are only effective against specific types of HPV, rendering them ineffective for other types of HPV infections. The objective of this research is to investigate the stability of the recombinant protein constructed, namely chimeric L1/L2 protein from HPV type 52, with improved cross-neutralization ability. The 3D model, predicted using Alphafold, Robetta, I-Tasser, and refined with Galaxy Refinement, is validated using Ramachandran plot analysis. The stability is verified through molecular dynamics simulations, considering parameters such as RMSD, RMSF, Rg, and SASA, where stable conditions are observed. The chimeric L1/L2 protein from HPV type 52 is purified using affinity chromatography, and the His-tag is cleaved using SUMO protease to obtain pure chimeric protein with the size of ~ 55 kDa. Western blot analysis confirms binding to anti-L1 HPV type 52 polyclonal antibody. The obtained vaccine candidate can be utilized as an effective prophylactic vaccine against HPV. © 2024 Taylor & Francis.

A mid-level labor preparation having the qualification and competency appropriate with working world needs is a task from vocational secondary school (VSS). Now days, VSS become an attention by wide community, as a result of the existence of government policy which is trying to empowering vocational secondary education. The policy taken is by performing the revitalization of vocational school which has the aim to improve the quality of labor competitiveness. One of the programs is teacher quality improvement through various teacher training. However, relating to this case, it is suspected that the previous vocational school teacher training is less effective, so that it needs to be conducted the analysis about the teacher training implementation. Therefore, this article will be elaborated the ways needed to be conducted in improving the educational quality and vocational school teacher development training. The ways should be considered when it is planned and implemented the effective training program, such as: determining the needs, setting the goal, determining the content of learning, selecting the participants, determining the best schedule, selecting the appropriate facilities, selecting the proper instructor, selecting and preparing the audiovisual equipment, coordinating the program and evaluating the program. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wind farm sites selection using GIS and multi-criteria analysis: The case of Sumba Island - Indonesia

Renewable energy has grown rapidly nowadays. One of them is wind energy which also has been developed in Indonesia. One of the major technical challenges for wind energy development is to locate the areas with high suitability for placing wind farms, so finding suitable locations is critical for the economic success of wind farm operation. In the past few decades, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been widely used to assist for locating suitable sites for wind farms. In this study, GIS and multi-criteria decision analysis were used to select the suitable location for the wind farms in Sumba Island, Indonesia. There were five criteria used in the method, including distance to road, population density, wind potential, land use, slope, and added with exclusionary areas. The weighted overlay was used as the method to find the suitability wind farm sites with the concerns of geospatial layers related to the criteria. The resulted suitability map for the wind farm development in the study area gave five categories of suitability levels: unsuitable, very low, low, medium and high. Research results showed that around 21.5% area of Sumba Island fell into medium and high suitability levels. The method used in this study, if used with care, can be applied to other areas with a similar background.

Mining water is one of the main problems that has a great importance on mine productivity. In mining implementation, it is necessary to study the Mining Water (Hydrogeology) system to support a good mine design. The Mining Water drainage system is a method for making work sites in the mining area always dry. Prior to mining, hydrogeological analysis and rainwater management methods are carried out. Calculation of rainfall intensity using Gumbel Probability estimation and water capture area analysis obtained CA-1 Q = 915, 35, m3 / day CA-2 Q = 1149, CA-3 Q = 141116, 01CA-4 Q = 1407.89, the form of rainwater trapping channels in the form of trapezium and pump requirements in each catchment area of 1 (one) pump each. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Despite the fact that densified mixture design algorithm (DMDA) has been identified as a promising tool for green concrete mix design, its use in real practice has still been minimal worldwide. Due to the lack of precise information on DMDA computation in earlier studies, this work proposes DMDA including fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag as a viable way to improve the long-term performance of green concrete. To encourage the use of DMDA, this study offers a detailed description of the DMDA mix design, as well as a step-by-step standard operating procedure and an empirical example of the computation. Assessments of the long-term performance of green mixtures (self-consolidating concrete and high-performance concrete) and ordinary Portland cement concrete (designed using the conventional method of American Concrete Institute, ACI) were made. Performances of the ACI (O6000 mixture) and DMDA concretes (S6000 and H6000 mixtures) were then compared in terms of compressive strength, elastic modulus, shrinkage, and creep strain. As a result, all of the concrete samples attained the target strength of above 41 MPa (6000 psi) after only 28 days. Moreover, compressive strength, elastic modulus, shrinkage, and creep strain increased significantly in all of the concretes over curing time. Importantly, the experimental results confirmed that both types of DMDA concrete exhibited higher compressive strength and better long-term performance than the ACI concrete under elastic modulus, creep, and shrinkage aspects. © 2023 American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

LaFeO₃ is widely applied in ethanol gas sensors due to material composition and the stability of its sensing parameters. However, LaFeO₃ is still limited in gas sensing properties, necessitating doping to enhance the performance of gas sensors like palladium (Pd). In this study, the optimization of the ethanol gas sensor was explored by adding reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to Pd–LaFeO₃, focusing on adsorption energy and band gap energy using density functional theory (DFT) with the generalized gradient approximation (GGA-PBEsol) simulation method. The results show that Pd–LaFeO₃ adsorption energy of −2.01 eV, which increases to −2.29 eV with the addition of rGO, indicates stronger ethanol adsorption. The band gap of Pd–LaFeO₃ was 2.34 eV before exposure to ethanol gas and decreased to 2.06 eV upon exposure. After incorporating rGO, the band gap further narrowed, from 0.11 eV before exposure to 0.05 eV after exposure. The narrowing of the energy band potentially enhances the sensor's response. Those results indicate that adding rGO to Pd–LaFeO₃ shows promising potential for ethanol gas sensor applications. © 2025 The Authors

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is widely used in electrochemistry, energy sciences, biology, and beyond. Analyzing EIS data is crucial, but it often poses challenges because of the numerous possible equivalent circuit models, the need for accurate analytical models, the difficulties of nonlinear regression, and the necessity of managing large datasets within a unified framework. To overcome these challenges, non-parametric models, such as the distribution of relaxation times (DRT, also known as the distribution function of relaxation times, DFRT), have emerged as promising tools for EIS analysis. For example, the DRT can be used to generate equivalent circuit models, initialize regression parameters, provide a time-domain representation of EIS spectra, and identify electrochemical processes. However, mastering the DRT method poses challenges as it requires mathematical and programming proficiency, which may extend beyond experimentalists’ usual expertise. Post-inversion analysis of DRT data can be difficult, especially in accurately identifying electrochemical processes, leading to results that may not always meet expectations. This article examines non-parametric EIS analysis methods, outlining their strengths and limitations from theoretical, computational, and end-user perspectives, and provides guidelines for their future development. Moreover, insights from survey data emphasize the need to develop a large impedance database, akin to an impedance genome. In turn, software development should target one-click, fully automated DRT analysis for multidimensional EIS spectra interpretation, software validation, and reliability. Particularly, creating a collaborative ecosystem hinged on free software could promote innovation and catalyze the adoption of the DRT method throughout all fields that use impedance data. © 2024 Elsevier Inc.

Database lectures in the informatics engineering study program teach the life cycle of database system development, both in terms of concepts, utilization, administration to database application systems to be studied, practiced and understood by students. Database teaching in the informatics engineering department of a private university with very diverse student participants, the ability to master computer and information technology and skills requires teaching material, lecturing strategies, lecturer quality, and facilities must also be able to adjust toward challenges, concept development, and database technology. This database design research model used Hevner's information systems research framework, starting with reference research, database lecture analysis, rigor and research relevance. This research covered the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instantiation, and evaluation of artifacts. The use of the framework intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and ensure the relevance of research. The benefits of this research will produce a database lecture model that can be used as a reference and lecture development in the informatics engineering study program. Reference to produce graduates with understanding and skills in database design, the use of Database Management System (DBMS), the ability in administration and professional capability in the database field. Resistance to moisture damage is crucial for asphalt concrete. Fine-particle mineral fillers have been used to leverage such resistance. This study examines the effects of different types of mineral fillers on the rheology and resistance to moisture damage of asphalt binders and asphalt concrete mixtures. These mineral fillers, namely baghouse dust, lime kiln dust, and hydrated lime, were targeted in this study. These fillers were added to two types of asphalt binders during the initial stage to examine their effects on the rheology of the binders with dynamic shear modulus tests. The effects of the fillers on affinity were evaluated through rolling bottle tests. It was found that mineral fillers can stiffen asphalt binder/mastic, thus providing a higher dynamic shear modulus and better affinity and moisture resistance in terms of a higher percentage of asphalt binder coverage. The properties of asphalt materials were influenced more by filler type than binder type. Hydrated lime provided superior results compared to the others. Consequently, the hydrated lime was used to examine the moisture resistance in the mixture scale in the final stage. It was found that the stiffening behavior can be attributed to the moisture resistance properties in the binder/mastic scale. © 2022 The Author(s)
