Recovering valuable elements such as lithium (Li) from seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) brine is crucial for building a sustainable economy due to its high storage density, making it an ideal material for energy storage. In this study, a novel hybrid system that combines direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) and electrochemical switched ion exchange (ESIX) was designed to achieve simultaneous SWRO brine enrichment and Li recovery. The DCMD process concentrated the SWRO brine using electrospun nanofiber membranes (ENMs) made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), with the incorporation of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanoparticles enhancing the morphological, thermal, and mechanical stability of the PVDF ENMs. The water contact angle (WCA) of the 1-rGO/PVDF ENM was 142.08°, indicating an improved hydrophobic property that resulted in the recovery of 12% freshwater from simulated SWRO brine and a 2.4-fold increase in Li+ concentration. The 1-rGO/PVDF ENM exhibited stable performance, with an 11% reduction in WCA after 15 hours of brine concentration. In the hybrid operation, a Li-selective LiAlO2 electrode, coupled with an activated carbon counter electrode, demonstrated remarkable Li recovery for Li capture solutions enriched by the rGO-PVDF membrane in the DCMD step. Compared to the Li concentration in the DCMD feed, sequential Li capture and release cycles recovered 91.8% of Li, highlighting the critical role of the hybrid mode operation in concentrating Li from simulated brine solutions. © 2023, The Authors. The research is experimental research that aims to determine whether there were differences in job-program- based practice with conventional practice on student learning outcomes. The trial subjects were students of the D3 civil and Building engineering study program FT UM who took the Masonry and Concrete Construction Practice course. In the field trial, the experimental group consisted of 23 students, while the control group consisted of 22 students. This research employs t-test analysis. The result shows differences in learning outcomes between students learning using Job program- based practical methods and students learning using conventional practical learning with a t-value of 6.054 at the significance level of 0.000. In conclusion, the Job-program learning methods significantly improve the learning outcome.

In the context of achieving Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in hospitals, among others, it is carried out with control and supervision, including in the case of hospital facility maintenance installations. Besides that, the hospital needs to improve its services. The asset reporting system is one of the high needs in this field, so it requires a solution that can deal with existing problems. Unfortunately, the current reporting system so far is more likely to be conventional, such as by telephone. This study proposes a new solution to the hospital facility maintenance reporting process, namely by utilising smartphone-based applications that directly connected to the server. So, the information distributed to the competent parties. This solution can speed up the reporting process and actions. Complaint resolution that arise due to internal and external factors in a company can be monitored through the Service Recovery Index (SRI), and SRI is developed through a number of factors that influence it. Meanwhile, the SRI model needs to be developed to see the business sustainability through implementation knowledge management system in the organization. The data collection method was carried out, starting with building a research instrument based on knowledge management theory and continued with observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were involved in the business process of managing SRI. The data analysis method was used to process the data from the questionnaire, factor analysis method was used and the method to build the model used was the regression analysis method. The results obtained from this study are the discovery of 4 (four) factors with a number of indicators that are grouped on each formed factor, which can then be made and built a readiness model that reflects current conditions, so that it can be used to build predictions in the future related to readiness. implementation of knowledge management system development in order to support increased understanding of the service recovery index in the organization. © 2021 ACM.

The objective of the research was to analyze the clustering method by optimizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in the case of measles immunization for children under the age of 5. The research data source used is the North Sumatra Province Central Bureau of Statistics (https://***/). The data used in 2019 included 33 records with variables BCG, DPT-HB3/DPT-HB/Hib3, CAMPAK (MEASLES + RUBELLA), POLIO 4 and HEPATITIS B. The methods used were k-medoids and PSOs. This method is used to determine the value of the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) before the cluster value is determined (k). The resulting k values were compared to k-medoids without PSO. The best results of k-medoid and PSO will be tested by classification to see the accuracy value of the cluster formed. The results showed that the optimization of k-medoids and PSO was better with the number of clusters (k = 5) than 0.078. (DBI). The results also show that the accuracy of the cluster formed is 95% with a correlation of 0.98. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A channel is constructed as a media for water to flow. Phases of plan, design, and construction of a channel require a lot of time, effort, and budget. Design and construction of a channel need to be suited to certain requirements and characteristics of the location. Changes of design parameters often occurred as a result of technical and economical considerations. It leads to changes of channel design to adapt to the new parameters. Hence, the needs of tool to ease the calculation of channel design. This paper reviewed the methods of channel design calculations thoroughly. In channel geometry design calculation, required parameters for channel design calculations are flow (Q), Chezy’s resistance factor (C), Darcy-Weisbach’s coefficient (f), or Manning’s roughness factor (n), and the channel base gradient (i). The objective of this research are channel design calculations and modelling, in addition profide a tool which is practical and easy to use. The methods are Chezy, Darchy-Weisbach, and Manning formula to calculate the design of varied channel type using Microsoft Excel software. Determinations of Chezy’s resistance factor (C), Darcy-Weisbach’s coefficient (f), can be related to Manning’s roughness factor (n) value. Manning’s roughness factor (n) can be estimated from the size of channel bed’s lining material particles (d) using certain formula or define the value dirrectly from Manning’s roughness factor table. This paper also discuss developed a tool for open channel design calculation and modelling“Kalkulator Desain Saluran – FAR”. The writers propose a new formula to estimate Manning’s roughness factor (n) value from the size of channel bed’s lining material particles (d). In addition, the writers propose formulas to directly calculate water level on the channel geometry section (y). The formula include coefficient of α which is based on relations of channel geometry parameters in to the formula of Chezy, Darchy-Weisbach, and Manning.

Red Mussels is a food ingredient that is quite popular in East Java. However, the content of heavy metal (Pb) red mussels is quite high above the threshold that is permitted for human consumption, which is below 1.5 ppm. Therefore, the presence of high Pb levels must be reduction according to the specified threshold. The research was conducted in two steps. The first step, Red mussel's extraction using Tamarind solution. Tamarind contains organic acids, one of which is citric acid which acts as a metal binding agent so as to reduce the metal content. The second stage of extracting red mussels uses pure citric acid, then the results are compared. The optimum results obtained at the time of extraction and concentration using tamarind was 60 minutes and 25%, the effectiveness of citric acid in tamarind was 98.89% (initial Pb 17.19 ppm to 0.25 ppm) while pure citric acid was 99.97 % (Initial Pb 17,199 ppm to 0,004 ppm). © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The impact of internal risk factors on cost of drainage projects in Aceh Province

This study was intended to analyzed the impact of risk on costs for the implementation of the urban drainage projects in Aceh Province. The object of study was the projects implemented during the 2021 fiscal year and covering 17 districts or cities of Aceh. The projects were generally built as infrastructure for residential areas. The data of the impact on costs was collected through the distribution of questionnaires involving 52 respondents who had a direct role in project implementation. The questionnaire was designed in 3 parts that inform the respondent’s characteristics, the company characteristics, and the risk impact on costs for 10 internal factors and 71 variables. The impact of risk was measured used the severity index (SI) parameter with 5 impact criteria. This study found the highest risk impact on costs was in the "moderate" criteria and appeared in 4 variables, namely: the inaccuracy of cost estimates (SI=0.450), design which differs with site conditions (SI=0.419), material price increases (SI=0.388), and design changes in response to site measurements and investigation (SI=0.381). For impacts with moderate criteria, the constructors should anticipate the potential emergence of additional project costs by 2% to 3% of the budget.

The implementation of construction projects is always faced with the risk of delays in the completion of works. Recognizing the impact of risks are the realistic efforts that can be applied to minimize the potential for delays. This study was conducted to identify and analyze the impact of risk on time on the implementation of building construction projects in Aceh Province. This study focused on 35 building projects that were built during 2021. Data collection was carried out by using a questionnaire instrument designed to identify the impact of risk on 10 internal factors and 71 variables. The risk impact was determined by using the severity index (SI) parameter. The results of the analysis describe that the highest impact of risk on time was categorized in the "Medium" intensity of impact for 22 variables (31%). The medium impact of risks were distributed on factors of material (3 variables), equipment (5 variables), finance (5 variables), construction methods (2 variables), labor (1 variable), contractor managerial (1 variable), construction safety (2 variables), contract (1 variable), and design (2 variables). The highest risk impact appears in the variable of design which differs with site conditions (J1) with an SI value of 0.606.

The development of the smartphones that rapidly increasing, and high smartphone Users as a tool to make a lot of information, make emergence of instant messaging applications with a variety of options for use. Telegram, as one of the instant messaging application that is fairly new, offering in its various features compared to other instant messaging applications, so it can grow rapidly and much in demand in only 2 years. One of the interesting features is the Bot telegram, a special account without number that can handle Command from the User and gives answers appropriate to Command functionality. The account serves as the interface of the running system that communicate via Telegram Bot API. This study seeks to build a Bot telegram with database to built The Online Test application uses Telegram Bots Version 1.0. In each lecture meeting, a Lecturer can make a short test in the form of multiple choices to review the material at the previous meeting and get information about what percentage of students understand the material that has been taught before. We can use the application to send realtime messages to facilitate the test. Of course, which supports the creation of bots easily to add features that did not yet exist. Of the many we chose Telegram to be an online test environment by utilizing the Bot creation facilities provided by Telegram. This article will be a guide that makes it easier for lecturers to give a simple test at the beginning of the meeting, so that they can attract students' daily grades. And in order to be more interactive there are features of student value progress reports that can also be accessed individually so that students can know the progress of their learning outcomes. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
