Implementation of ISO certification in educational organization

Why do educational institutions require ISO certification? "In order to have a common language among educational institutions at home and abroad," The similarity of language in question is the similarity of quality indicators owned by an educational institution, in this case the Educational Organization. Basically, there are three components of the quality assurance system of a Educational Organization: database, internal quality control system (SPMI), and external quality control system (SPME). The database contains the evaluation results for each semester of each study program at university. SPMI is usually run by the Quality Assurance Agency owned by each university, while SPME is run by external agencies of university that test and certify, one of which is ISO 9001:2008/2015 certification. ISO certification is an international standard for Quality Management System (QMS). At Educational Organization, the main indicator of quality management is the commitment of a university in its education, especially in its efforts towards an international university. One of the institutions issuing ISO certification is NQA. There are six assessment criteria specified in the ISO certification test. The six criteria are documentation control, record control, product control, internal audit, product development (improvement), and product correction. Products in the Educational Organization is the education given a university to its students. The quality of education is also measured from the level of satisfaction of companies that use graduates of a university.

Personalized medicine (PM) promises to transform healthcare by providingtreatments tailored to individual genetic, environmental, and lifestylefactors. However, its high costs and infrastructure demands raise concernsabout exacerbating health disparities, especially between high-income countries(HICs) and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). While HICs benefit fromadvanced PM applications through AI and genomics, LMICs often lack theresources necessary to adopt these innovations, leading to a wideninghealthcare divide. This paper explores the financial and ethical challenges ofPM implementation, with a focus on ensuring equitable access. It proposesstrategies for global collaboration, infrastructure development, and ethicalframeworks to support LMICs in adopting PM, aiming to prevent furtherdisparities in healthcare accessibility and outcomes. © 2024, CC BY.

Kelase is an E-learning program that has been applied in the Agricultural Technology Education (PTP), especially in the Toxicology and Food Safety courses. This study aims to analyze application and acceptance of PTP students to Kelase, as well as variable correlation and linearity used in the Technology Accepted Model (TAM) method. The independent variables in this study consisted of variables perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, while the observation variable was acceptance. Techniques for collecting data through giving questionnaires. The questionnaire instrument was tested for its validity and reliability. Data measurement scale uses Likert scale. Data processing uses IBM SPSS 20.0 software. The results show that level of perception of PTP student admissions is very high, which is between 70.1-91%. The correlation of TAM variable is significant and positive. Both variables, perceived ease of use (X1) and perceived usefulness (X2), are very influential on acceptance (Y) and both of these variables simultaneously influence the level of student acceptance of Kelase. The regression determination coefficient is generated, which is 52%. These results indicate that the influence of variables perceived ease of use (X1) and perceived usefulness (X2) is only 52%, and the rest, which is 48% influenced by other variables. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. Public infrastructure development in Indonesia is an integral part of the national development planning system, and the government attempts to ensure the process is done rigorously to fulfil the system's objectives. Part of public infrastructure is roads, and the utilities that are installed nearby. The development of utilities in and adjacent to the public right of way in Indonesia involves of various stakeholders that should be managed properly to avoid unnecessary interface problems. Those stakeholders include government agencies, community groups, private enterprises, and state or regional owned enterprises. The interaction between stakeholders of utilities in and adjacent to the public right of way should be identified clearly, and for sustainability objective, an identification of the process and interaction first should be done in the low level of the government i.e. district area. This paper is a preliminary study of a research about stakeholders' interaction structure in Indonesia's district public infrastructure development process. This paper focuses on utilities that installed in and adjacent to the district's road in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to explain the interaction framework of stakeholders involved, and the methods that are used to describe the relationship. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Rhinacathin nasutus, commonly found in the tropical regions of Africa and Asia, has demonstrated a range of pharmacological effects, including anticancer, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-Alzheimer, anti-tumor, anti-Parkinson, and hypolipidemic activities. However, reports on how its secondary metabolites inhibit α-glucosidase are scarce. The phytochemical investigation on the stems of Rhinacathin nasuthus resulted in the isolation and identification of a new compound (1) together with nine known metabolites (2−10). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques, mass spectrometry and literature values. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined through NOESY data analysis and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectroscopy. All isolated compounds were tested for their yeast α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, exhibiting moderate to good activity. Notably, compounds (3), (4), and betulin (8) showed potent activity toward α-glucosidase with IC50 values of 10.8, 18.6, and 6.5 µM, respectively (the positive control, acarbose, IC50 93.63 μM). This study marks the first investigation of α-glucosidase activity for compounds 3 and 4. Therefore, these compounds were chosen for kinetic studies, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics to understand their mechanism. The results from both in vitro and in silico studies suggest that compounds 3 and 4 could be promising candidates for further research in the development of new α-glucosidase inhibitors. © 2024, The Authors. Currently, mobile technologies are one of the fastest improving technologies in the world. In mobile devices category, the most technological and preferred devices by costumers and providers are undoubted smartphones which are always changed and developed. Some of the main developments in this sector are faster downloading or uploading data, longer battery life, high quality of resolution and more qualified photograph or video. Because of the fact that every new technology is being integrated, other areas which give service in terms of smart phones have to follow these technological developments and make researches on the related topics. The signal strength levels on smartphones reach download / upload speeds within the processor and modem features used on smartphones. Nowadays, a big majority of smart phones have a far higher speed of download and upload data than the operators that provide infrastructure services. Another important aspect is the signal strength level depends on the base stations established by the mobile phone operators. Within the study, three different routes which cover different districts of Istanbul have been selected as the study area. In these routes which have different topographical features, the relationship between signal strength and topography was examined and mapped. Additionally, signal power rate which directly affect the speed of upload or download data and its performance was investigated in the study. Efficiency and capacity for the development of base stations were also studied and mapped in the study. Chitosan-Unripe banana peel powder (UBPP) as a candidate for antibacterial wound dressing

Wound infections have spread seriously worldwide, especially in Indonesia. Based on the Basic Health Survey conducted by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, shows that the prevalence of injuries tends to be high in Indonesia. Therefore, proper wound care is needed to prevent the wound from infection or other unwanted things. Various studies have been conducted to optimize the wound healing process. It is expected that materials that meet the standards for wound dressings will be produced using natural materials such as chitosan and banana peel. The purpose of this study is to confirm the change of unripe banana peel powder (UBPP) in the chitosan/UBPP dressing film. The changes in the concentration used were 0, 9, 10, and 11% wt. Membrane results were characterized by FTIR, SEM, tensile strength, cytotoxicity, swelling, and antibacterial tests. Based on tests in the functional group of FTIR, at a concentration of 10% wt UBPP showed an interaction between banana peel powder and chitosan at a wavelength of 3174.83 cm−1. The results of the SEM form of the 10% wt chitosan/UBPP sample showed a good interfacial appearance. Based on the tensile strength test, it can be seen that the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) value increases with the addition of the concentration of unripe banana peel powder (UBPP) and it can be seen that the UTS value has met the tensile strength standard. Cytotoxicity studies have shownthat all four samples are non-toxic, with more than 60% of live cells in the four samples. The addition of unripe banana peel powder reduces the swelling properties of water from the wound dressing. Antibacterial test results Synergistic results were shown for the highest antibacterial activity at a concentration of UBPP 11% wt.

This research aims to find the spectrum of a park service scope from two city parks in Denpasar, a densely populated city. The city parks in study are Lapangan Puputan Badung and Lapangan Puputan Margarana as city public facilities of Denpasar - Bali that is said to improve citizen quality of life and environment as well. However, this research focuses to see how city parks in Bali serve their users. This study uses a survey research method. Sample of respondents are chosen using accidental sampling technique with questionnaire as media of data collection. Data series include, users' age, frequency of visit, activities, and domicile. Research findings are analysed spatially and descriptively as well. Result shows that most visitors are young people who spend time mostly for exercising and other recreational activities. It is also interesting to see that both city park users are regular visitors. They visit the parks at least 1 to 2 time per week and spend 1 to 2 hours in there. The parks users mostly come from densely populated areas. That shows the importance of city parks as complement to a city. However, as a city that going to smart city, ICT has not been recognized much. As conclusion, the spectrum of city parks service scope of Denpasar still ranging in traditional functions of public green open space. A city park serves a man-made nature-like place for people to get refresh within an urban landscape setting. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Globalization had increased global economic activity, including production, trade and distribution activities in developing countries, especially in Asia. The increasing of trade traffic and cargo transportation in archipelago country like Indonesia, requires the utilization of sea lanes. This study was aimed to present the suitability of ship design to be passengers transportation in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The proposed design should be in accordance with the conditions of Berau which has 6 districts crossed by the river which still lack of transportation facilities. This research proposed an optimal ship design that can be used as a reference for renewable ships in Berau waters. This study produced a watershed design analysis concept as part of the reference and boundary dimensions of the ship. The obtained main size of the ship using linear regression method was total length of 12.5 meters, 3 meters wide, 1.5 meters high, and 0.6 meters full of water. Resistance analysis using the Savitsky method showed the engine capacity of 2x150 pk with a service speed of 25 knots. Maximum speed of 30 knots with a distance of 57.32 mill can be reached with 2 hours service speed and 1 hour 40 minutes at a maximum speed of 30 knots with the resistance value 12.8 kN. The total estimated budget for the production of this ship was Rp 1.773.656.800. This design may be adopted as an integrated reference for the procurement of transportation facilities for passenger ships, especially in the Berau river. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The high level of erosion that occur in Musi river basin has improved a tremendous impact on sedimentation in downstream areas and has resulted in many infrastructure of water is disturbed, such as silting of irrigation channels, siltation of rivers which disrupt the flow of transport stream and increasing the risk of flooding, high sedimentation in the port basin, low quality of water and the rising costs of water treatment. This study utilizes techniques terrain models Digital (Digital Elevation Model/DEM) to analysis the spatial distribution of the potential for erosion and sources of sedimentation, as well as the direction of the flow of sediment into channels as well as its relationship with outlet in branching river as the supplies to be sediment to the river flow. The method used in this study using a spatial model analysis with the help of GIS in analysing and presenting the level of erosion and deposition by utilizing modelling slope and kinetic energy of rainfall to estimate the index erosivity and distribution pattern of sediment into the river channel. This research was conducted at the upper Lematang river sub basin with area 412,638 Ha, which are classified into 11 sub-chatments with the highest altitude is 3.159 m above sea level (Dempo Valley) and the lowest is 126 m above sea level (Talang tinggi Valley). Analytical results have been tested by taking a fine sediment sampling in each sub-watershed in the analysis and is taken along the channel network and compare the observed patterns with the results predicted by the model analysis of soil erosion. Overall, erosion by high intensity tends to occur in the relationship between the different vegetation coverage, the barren land and open land used for farms and land used for mining. Approximately 45-65.5% slope bad condition because the vegetation has been open, so it can be seen the amount of erosion in the area is 2.139 ton/ha/year, at the sloping is 1.8239 ton/ha/year. © 2019 Published under licence
