The Structural Health Monitoring System is part of tool and method for bridge operation and maintenance to make sure that the bridge is in good condition. Deflection is one of the main parameters to be measured and various methods has been introduced to measure deflection. Accuracy and economically are two main aspects when selecting the method for determine the real time deflection. This study presents a method of determining the maximum deflection of simple span continuous bridge using strain data obtained from a strain gauge sensor for simple span steel box girder bridge. Initial data were obtained from FEM simulations under various load conditions to obtain the maximum deflection value and the strain value. Linear regression and quadratic regression were carried out to obtain the relationship between the strains data and the maximum deflection. The accuracy of the maximum deflection value is then compared with the results of the analysis using FEM. It was found that the accuracy is about 91.16 % for quadratic regression and 9.07 for linear regression 90.93 %.

In the last 7,500 years ago, at least 11 tsunamis have hit Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. However, Banda Aceh communities’ preparedness efforts has not been fully implemented in a sustainable manner. There is often little to no warning before a tsunami hits a nearby place. The initial planning, selection of evacuation zones, and maintaining of evacuation routes provide some of the basis of tsunami preparedness. This study attempts to evaluate how the people of Banda Aceh perceive the city’s spatial planning, the factors that influence where people choose to live, and tsunami preparedness measures. Data were obtained through questionnaire survey involving 305 household surveys. This study describes whether the community has received socialization about the City Spatial Plan and whether the planning has considered the tsunami hazard. This study also investigates the elements that influence people’s housing decisions, including determining if the tsunami hazard is still considered. This study is expected to assist the City Government in providing scholarly material related to aspects of tsunami mitigation.

Indonesia currently is facing an energy crisis due to depletion of oil reserves and rapid growth in conventional energy consumption. The declining fossil energy potential especially oil and gas has encouraged the government to put new renewable energy(NRE) as the main priority to maintain energy security for national supply in the future. NRE in Indonesia is generated from bioenergy power, hydro power, solar power, tidal power, wind power, and potential. However, NRE utilization in Indonesia is only about 11% from the total potential. This study assesses the hydropower production capacity of Ayung River Basin, the biggest Basin in Province of Bali. The assessment is carried out by utilizing global data that can be easily accessed. It was found that there are several potential mini-hydropower locations around the Ayung River Basin, with the biggest potential is around 2 MW.

Background: Bone destructions in the oral cavity are due to trauma, chronic infection, congenital malformations, or resection surgery, most often by using an autologous bone graft technique. The problem using this technique are limited donors and suppliers, high cost, host potential imune response becauce accepts foreign bone tissue also potential transmission diseases. Another solution in tissue engineering techniques is using the scaffold. Hidroxyapatite is one of the osteoconductive potentialy ceramic materials in scaffold fabrication. Objective: To prove that bovine teeth hydroxyapatite have characteristic as scaffold for bone tissue regeneration. Methods: HA was obtained by calcining bovine teeth at 1000°C for 3 hours, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy (FTIR) test , Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) test and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) test. Results: Bovine teeth hydroxyapatite to showed of hydroxyl, phosphate and carbonate functional groups (FTIR test). Average Ca/P=1.97. Conclusion: Hydroxyapatite from bovine teeth has potency as scaffold through the chemistry and physical characteristics.
