Plagiarism in the education sector is as serious issues. In 2015 Indonesia ministry of research, technology and higher education stated to eradicate the plagiarism, and after 2 years the similar statement by Indonesia ministry of research, technology, and higher education. The plagiarism becomes the serious program by the ministry. The plagiarism in higher education happened, the faculty member or even a professor found did the plagiarism. Therefore, this paper research conducted using descriptive analysis methodology to elaborate on deep the correlation plagiarism variables. Hence, warding off the plagiarism might possible to perform using the applications. The aim of this research to find the correlation variables that might use to ward off the plagiarism in the future. The very interesting result from 15 questioners and the report shows there are several significant correlation variables of the plagiarism. © 2018 IEEE.

The function of the basement is to carry the weight of the upper structure into the soil and to resist lateral loads around the basement wall. One aspect of geotechnical engineering that often a problem in basement wall planning is the determination of lateral ground pressure in the basement wall due to earthquake which must be held by the basement wall. In this study, an analysis of the effects of local soil conditions due to dynamic loads is done through analysis of soil-structure interaction. The analysis is done by modeling the local soil with variations in basement depth and the adjacent basement distance to get the lateral pressure distribution due to dynamic load. The analyzed soil conditions are considered homogeneous at land sites SE (soft soil) with the dynamic load input from earthquake loads uses a 10% probability of exceedance in 50 years (500 years). The most influential parameter for soil displacement is the distance of the basement and then the depth of the basement. The most influential parameter on lateral forces is the depth of the basement followed by the distance of the basement.

Sedimentation Analysis Based on River Hydrological Discharge at Cipunagara Estuary, Subang, Indonesia

Coastal area is very dynamic. The sedimentation in estuary causes coastal morphological changes. Sediment which is transported by the river flow tends to accumulate in the estuary. Sedimentation also occurs in Cipunagara, Subang and causes the accretion. Based on this Due to this occurrence of sedimentation, the objective of study are to calculate the hydrological discharge, calculate the sediment transport rate, and analyze the added area of sedimentation in the Cipunagara estuary. The method of the calculation of hydrological discharge has been reffered to SNI 2145-2016 while the analysis of sedimentation referred to Van Rijn's analytical equations. The frequency analysis of maximum daily rainfall in Cipunagara watershed was done to obtain the value of rainfall plan. The rainfall plan was then used to calculate flood discharge plan with using HSS Nakayasu method. The flood discharge plan with 2-years return period was chosen to determine the flow rate at STA 1 in Cipunagara River. Furthermore, the flowrate and sediment characteristic at STA 1 is used as the parameter to determine the sediment transport rate at STA 1. The sediment transport rate from January to December are calculated to obtain the volumetric value of the transported sediment which then used for the added area of sedimentation analysis at STA6 and STA 9 in Cipunagara estuary. In this study, the value of flood discharge plan from January to December was obtained as, 328,41 m3/s, 275,96 m3/s, 247,62 m3/s, 300,25 m3/s, 212,19 m3/s, 129,84 m3/s, 142,14 m3/s, 67,83 m3/s, 52,93 m3/s, 160,33 m3/s, 266,60 m3/s, and 299,44 m3/s. The added area of sedimentation over one year at STA 6 and STA 9 are 320,04 ha/year and 182,88 ha/year with scheme A and 337,33 ha/year and 203,36 ha/year with sheme B.

Prioritizing rural roads projects in north-eastern Thailand by analytical hierarchy process (AHP)

This paper presents the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in rural roads prioritization. The paper exhibits the concept and process of the plan for rural road development and application of multiple criteria decision analysis using AHP for prioritizing rural roads on a rational basis. Rural road network was grouped on strategic issues and strategies of Department of Rural Roads. There are three main factors to be used as an indicator to assess the importance of routes of each type of road: Transport and Traffic engineering, Accessibility and Other. The result of criteria weights was determined by Expert Choice software according to the AHP model. The results of weight factor analysis can be divided into 2 groups: The Transportation and Traffic engineering dominant road (Logistics, Traffic Reduction and Country's Border Road) and the Accessibility dominant road (Tourism and Rural Area Accessibility Road). This study will be able to prioritize rural roads and allocate limited budget for development in the future. The master plan obtained from AHP application shows that this plan is consistent, and links with the country strategic plan under the Department of Rural Roads year 2017-2026, which is a longterm plan (10 years), and the Strategic Plan Framework Development of Rural Roads year 2017 - 2020, which is a medium-term plan (4 years). The main goal of the Rural Roads Development Plan in the area is to develop a rural road network to connect the Development of National Infrastructure and the Northeast Development Plan perfectly. © 2018 International Association of Lowland technology. Recently, deep learning has achieved great results in many fields such as image classification. However, most general artificial neural networks with deep learning require graphics processing unit (GPUs) because of hard workload and it requires a large amount of power consumption. When we think about humans, we can do a lot of things without consuming a lot of power compared to computers or electric appliances. Human beings or organisms transmit and recognize information through signal transmission between neurons. This study aims to develop a novel deep neural network architecture which simulates the signaling system between biological neurons, unlike conventional neural networks. We propose a novel spike-inspired deep neural network structure with the spike-inspired block using binary weight motivated by spike's on and off mechanism. We have also designed a modified DenseNet architecture consisting of spike-inspired blocks. Our proposed method was tested and validated with MNIST datasets. The obtained results show the potential of a spike-inspired deep neural network.

Site-specific ground response analysis at a site in the affected area of the 2016 Pidie Jaya earthquake

Analytical models have demonstrated that they are able to simulate reasonably well the seismic motions at the ground level. The most widely used model is the equivalent linear approach. This equivalent linear model was used to compute the free-field response of Meureudu-Pidie Jaya, Aceh Indonesia's soft soils during the 2016 Pidie Jaya earthquake. The model computes the ground response of horizontally layered soil deposits subjected to transient and vertically propagating shear waves through the one-dimensional soil column. Each soil layer is assumed to be homogeneous, visco-elastic and infinite in the horizontal extent. The equivalent linear estimation of soil properties is taken to express the nonlinearity of the soil's shear modulus and damping values. These values are assumed to be a function of shear strain amplitude and determined by an iterative process that must be consistent with the level of the effective strain induced in each sub-layer. Starting with the highest shear modulus and a low damping value, the shear modulus and the damping ratio of each sub-layer are modified. The modification is based on the applicable relationship between both properties and the shear strain. The calculation is repeated until strain-compatible modulus and damping values converge within a tolerance of 1%. This research reveals the ground motions of Pidie Jaya's soils. The results of the analysis are presented.

This paper presents the design of the new Thammapakon Pho Klang Nursing Home, Nakhon Ratchasima, as a modern model for Thai nursing homes. The nursing home is based on green-building, energy-saving and human-factors engineering principles and covers an area of 102,000 m2 (2,520 acres). The model includes the site design and the buildings of the nursing home, which conforms with green-building and energy-saving principles. The novel nursing home represents a practical approach to the optimization of building use and building resources in the areas of building utilization, water management, waste management, environmentally friendly materials selection, the effect of buildings on the health of building users and the environment, construction, operations, maintenance, and final demolition. The designed buildings include an office building, a hospital, a dormitory for the elderly, a canteen and a multipurpose building. The elderly’s facility design is based on universal design and human-factors engineering. Google’s SketchUp 8 program was used to design the layout of the buildings, the style and size of the openings around the buildings, the building envelope materials, and the position and types of vegetation around the building according to sun direction. It was determined that the overall thermal transmission values (OTTV) and the roof thermal transmission values (RTTV) of the designed buildings are within the prescribed energy-efficient building standard (OTTV 2 and RTTV 2). © 2018 International Association of Lowland technology. With advancements in the science of detection and attribution studies, the influence of climate change over many events has now been quantified. Because of the rapidly increasing temperatures, vulnerable populations (adults older than 65 years, and children younger than one year of age) were exposed to 3·7 billion more heatwave days in 2021 than annually in 1986–2005 (indicator 1.1.2), and heat-related deaths increased by 68% between 2000–04 and 2017–21 (indicator 1.1.5), a death toll that was significantly exacerbated by the confluence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the local cooling and overall health benefits of urban greenspaces, only 277 (27%) of 1038 global urban centres were at least moderately green in 2021 (indicator 2.2.3), and the number of households with air conditioning increased by 66% from 2000 to 2020, a maladaptive response that worsens the energy crisis and further increases urban heat, air pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. To assess the spatial and layer-wise distributions of 26 elements (Na, Al, Mg, K, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Sb, Co, Ba, Zn, Rb, Cs, La, Ce, Sm, Eu, Yb, Ta, Hf, Th and U) as well as the spatial distributions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in a polluted urban river (Turag, Bangladesh), benthic sediment samples from 11 different sampling stations were analyzed. Concentrations of Ti, Cr, Mn, Zn, Rb and Cs ranged from 2330 to 5490, 23–116, 186–4298, 34–7345, 77–186 and 2.19–12.0 μg.g⁻¹(dw), respectively, whereas concentrations of ∑PAHs ranged from 45.8 to 1901 with an average value of 432 μ***⁻¹(dw) in surface sediments. Geo-accumulation index, enrichment factor and pollution load index were used to assess the contamination level. Among the 26 elements, Zn is identified as the major elemental contaminant which shows significant layer-wise variations (RSDs: 21.7–221 %) at all sampling sites. Similarly, Cr, Mn, Ti, V, Fe and Co show layer-wise variation in some specific sampling sites which invokes variable contamination flux over the industrialization and/or urbanization period. Principal component analysis (PCA) and correlation study ascertained several anthropogenic sources for heavy metal contaminations. Although rare earth elements (La, Ce, Sm, Eu and Yb) seem to have crustal origin, their layer-wise variations are assumed to represent the sediment response toward the pollution load. Integrated study based on the diagnostic ratios and PCA depicted that pyrolytic origins mostly govern the PAHs distributions. Sediments quality guidelines (SQGs) indicated that the highest potential ecological risks occurred for Zn and fluorene at some specific sampling sites. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.

The increasing prevalence of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii as an opportunistic pathogen in wound infections raises significant concerns due to its antibiotic resistance and biofilm-mediated antibiotic tolerance. This underscores the urgent need to explore an alternative approach to effectively managing wound infections caused by MDR A. baumannii. In this study, combining subinhibitory concentrations of curcumin (25 µg/ml) or chitosan (156 µg/ml) with photodynamic therapy-PDT (10 J/cm²) resulted in a significant reduction of planktonic viabilities and biofilm biovolume of MDR A. baumannii clinical isolates in vitro. In murine A. baumannii-associated wound infection, a combination of curcumin (25 µg/ml) or chitosan (156 µg/ml) with PDT (10 J/cm²) resulted in complete bacterial eradication with wound healing at Day 15 of post-treatments with these combination therapies. Our study demonstrated that combining curcumin or chitosan with PDT at their subinhibitory concentrations represents a promising alternative strategy as localized therapy for effectively managing A. baumannii-associated wound infection. © 2025 The Authors
