Community websites bring many conveniences to people, and the classification of community content is playing an important role in website management and information searching. As the carrier of community content, posts are difficult to classify manually. According to the characteristics of community content, a hybrid classification model for machine learning is proposed. This model consists of three steps. Firstly, aiming at the problem of fewer features of posts, a weighted word vector is proposed to enrich the features of posts. Secondly, since the single kernel function of SVM can not completely match all data distributions, a mixed kernel function is employed to improve the model. Finally, in order to fully utilize the powerful feature extraction ability of Convolutional Neural Network as well as the classification ability of SVM, a hybrid model is designed and implemented by replacing softmax layer with SVM classifier. The corresponding experiment results indicate that compared with traditional Convolutional Neural Network, the proposed hybrid model has better performance and stability with classification accuracy improved from 0.9% to 1.4% in general. © 2021 IEEE.

Dynamic graphs have emerged as a pivotal data structure underpinning real-world network applications. Against this backdrop, detecting anomalies in dynamic graphs has become particularly important, serving as a foundation for multiple downstream tasks. However, existing research has been limited by only considering the simplistic spatial features of the target edge and being confined to local spatial structures. This confinement imposes significant limitations on model performance. Furthermore, current models have not adequately addressed the issue of missing node attributes, relying solely on one-hot encoding to represent nodes, which restricts the expressive capacity of spatial features. In response to these challenges, we propose an end-to-end transformer-based spatio-temporal graph neural network model called TransSTGNN for detecting anomalous edges on dynamic graphs. This model innovatively integrates the graph convolution network with the transformer model to extract multi-dimensional spatial features of the target edge. Simultaneously, TransSTGNN incorporates a novel node enhancement module that reinforces the representation capability of spatial features by encoding the spatial attributes of nodes, effectively tackling the problem of missing node attributes. Extensive experiments confirm that TransSTGNN surpasses the state-of-the-art methods in anomaly detection on six benchmark datasets and effectively resolves the challenges mentioned above. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Cross-chain Decentralized Applications (dApps) are increasingly popular for their ability to handle complex tasks across various blockchains, extending beyond simple asset transfers or swaps. However, ensuring all dependent transactions execute correctly together, known as complete atomicity, remains a challenge. Existing works provide financial atomicity, protecting against monetary loss, but lack the ability to ensure correctness for complex tasks. In this paper, we introduce Avalon, a transaction execution framework for cross-chain dApps that guarantees complete atomicity for the first time. Avalon achieves this by introducing multiple state layers above the native one to cache state transitions, allowing for efficient management of these state transitions. Most notably, for concurrent cross-chain transactions, Avalon resolves not only intra-chain conflicts but also addresses potential inconsistencies between blockchains via a novel state synchronization protocol, enabling serializable cross-chain execution. We implement Avalon using smart contracts in Cosmos ecosystem and evaluate its commitment performance, demonstrating acceptable latency and gas consumption even under conflict cases.

The COVID-19 virus had easily affected people worldwide through direct contact. Individuals diagnosed with positive COVID-19 virus may be affected with many symptoms, such as fever, tiredness, dry cough, difficulty in breathing, sore throat, chest pain, nasal congestion, runny nose, and diarrhea. An individual can also be diagnosed with COVID-19 even when he does not have any symptoms or be in contact with an infected person. data classification was required due to the size of COVID-19 data that will be analyzed for future countermeasures determination. Some problems in data classification occurred due to unorganized data, such as time consumption, human error in complexity of symptom features and the diagnosis process data needed expert knowledge. This study aimed to use the artificial neural network (ANN) approach, which was multilayer perceptron (MLP) to classify the COVID-19 data by using patient symptom data. The MLP process involved data collection, data normalization, MLP design, MLP training, testing, and MLP verification. From the experiments, the MLP method was able to obtain an accuracy rate of 77.10%. In conclusion, the MLP method could classify the COVID-19 data and achieve a high accuracy rate. © 2023 College of Education, Al-Iraqia University. All rights reserved.

The real academic network belongs to a heterogeneous network, therefore, for the link prediction tasks, some information on the network may be lost if only using homogeneous network methods. In order to make good use of the rich semantic information in a heterogeneous network for better predicting the cooperative relationship between scholars, this paper proposes a cooperative relationship prediction (CoRP) model. The CoRP model includes the following three steps. Firstly, a structural feature extraction module is designed based on meta path by using the similarity metric function to measure the meta path similarity between scholars. Secondly, to overcome the defects that the existing methods usually ignore the attribute information on nodes, three attribute feature presentation functions are constructed to fully utilize the attribute information of scholars in the academic network. In the end, a machine learning classifier which combines the structural similarity and attribute similarity is utilized to learn each attribute feature and complete the task of cooperative relationship prediction. The experimental results reveal that compared with the benchmark method, the proposed method has better performance and interpretability with improvement from 3% to 10% of AUC value for the AMiner academic data set. © 2021 IEEE.

This article provides a comparative study of strategies for identifying diabetic retinopathy (DR) in the fundus feature enhancement. Medical images suffer from non-uniform lighting, low contrast and noise. A comparative study and efficiency assessment of different optimization strategies can help to choose the most effective technique which can significantly improve diabetic retinopathy identification. In detecting DR, pre-processing of the fundus image has been made by comparing histogram equalization (HE), image negative, dark contrast stretching, bright contrast stretching and partial contrast stretching. These techniques are evaluated by using standard performance metrics like NIQE, PNSR, MSE and entropy, then optimization using Cuckoo Search Algorithm has been conducted to compare the result. In the last stage of the result, the proposed optimization, produces better result in some of the performance metrics like MSE, meanwhile NIQE, PNSR and entropy shows better results in enhancement. Cloud-based AI services offer numerous benefits but also introduce vulnerabilities, allowing for tampering with deployed DNN models, ranging from injecting malicious behaviors to reducing computing resources. Fingerprint samples are generated to query models to detect such tampering. In this paper, we present Intersecting-Boundary-Sensitive Fingerprinting (IBSF), a novel method for black-box integrity verification of DNN models using only top-1 labels. Recognizing that tampering with a model alters its decision boundary, IBSF crafts fingerprint samples from normal samples by maximizing the partial Shannon entropy of a selected subset of categories to position the fingerprint samples near decision boundaries where the categories in the subset intersect. These fingerprint samples are almost indistinguishable from their source samples. We theoretically establish and confirm experimentally that these fingerprint samples' expected sensitivity to tampering increases with the cardinality of the subset. Extensive evaluation demonstrates that IBSF surpasses existing state-of-the-art fingerprinting methods, particularly with larger subset cardinality, establishing its state-of-the-art performance in black-box tampering detection using only top-1 labels. In the realm of recommendation systems, achieving real-time performance in embedding similarity tasks is often hindered by the limitations of traditional Top-K sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SpMV) methods, which suffer from high latency due to inefficient memory access patterns. This paper identifies these critical gaps and introduces AccelES, a novel approach that significantly enhances the efficiency of Top-K SpMV. Our method employs a two-stage calculation scheme: the first stage utilizes a compact, low-bit dataset to quickly identify the most relevant entries, while the second stage performs full-precision calculations solely on this pruned subset, thereby minimizing computational overhead. Furthermore, AccelES incorporates innovative matrix representations, Ultra-CSR and Random-CSR, which optimize memory bandwidth utilization. Experimental results demonstrate that AccelES accelerates performance, surpassing state-of-the-art FPGA, GPU, and CPU solutions by factors of 3.4×, 2.5×, and 153.3×, respectively, under controlled conditions. These advancements not only enhance processing speed but also significantly improve real-time performance in recommendation systems, establishing AccelES as a pivotal contribution to the field of Top-K sparse matrix-vector multiplication.

Actively Supervised Clustering for Open Relation Extraction

Current clustering-based Open Relation Extraction (OpenRE) methods usually adopt a two-stage pipeline. The first stage simultaneously learns relation representations and assignments. The second stage manually labels several instances and thus names the relation for each cluster. However, unsupervised objectives struggle to optimize the model to derive accurate clustering assignments, and the number of clusters has to be supplied in advance. In this paper, we present a novel setting, named actively supervised clustering for OpenRE. Our insight lies in that clustering learning and relation labeling can be alternately performed, providing the necessary guidance for clustering without a significant increase in human effort. The key to the setting is selecting which instances to label. Instead of using classical active labeling strategies designed for fixed known classes, we propose a new strategy, which is applicable to dynamically discover clusters of unknown relations. Experimental results show that our method is able to discover almost all relational clusters in the data and improve the SOTA methods by 10.3% and 5.2%, on two datasets respectively. Graph mining aims to explore interesting structural information of a graph. Pattern-centric systems typically transform a generic-purpose graph mining problem into a series of subgraph matching problems for high performance. Existing pattern-centric mining systems reduce the substantial search space towards a single pattern by exploring a highly-optimized matching order, but inherent computational redundancies of such a matching order itself still suffer severely, leading to significant performance degradation. The key innovation of this work lies in a general redundancy criterion that characterizes computational redundancies arising in not only handing a single pattern but also matching multiple patterns simultaneously. In this paper, we present SumPA, a high-performance pattern-centric graph mining system that can sufficiently remove redundant computations for any complex graph mining problems. SumPA features three key designs: (1) a pattern abstraction technique that can simplify numerous complex patterns into a few simple abstract patterns based on pattern similarity, (2) abstraction-guided pattern matching that completely eliminates (totally and partially) redundant computations during subgraph enumeration, and (3) a suite of system optimizations to maximize storage and computation efficiency. Our evaluation on a wide variety of real-world graphs shows that SumPA outperforms the two state-of-the-art systems Peregrine and GraphPi by up to 61.89× and 8.94×, respectively. For many mining problems on large graphs, Peregrine takes hours or even days while SumPA finishes in only a few minutes.
