The identification of protein sequences depends on the effective selection of an optimized set of features. Traditional algorithms prioritize global feature importance, often overshadowing the significance of local metrics. Addressing this imbalance, we introduce an innovative algorithm that fuses feature ranking with an advanced weight quantization technique. This algorithm unfolds in two pivotal stages: initially, it generates a weighted directed graph based on normal distribution metrics; subsequently, it employs the HodgeRank algorithm to amalgamate these rankings. Specifically, the algorithm evaluates feature score normality by employing z-scores for skewness and kurtosis, resulting in a graph that quantitatively reflects both local and global feature contributions. HodgeRank then translates this graph into a Laplacian matrix, enabling the calculation of a comprehensive scoring function for each feature. We refine the initial rankings by incorporating weights during the integration phase, capturing a holistic view of feature significance. The proposed method, termed HodgeRankWeight, showcases superior performance, achieving accuracy rates of 87.02%, 92.84%, and 74.51% across different datasets. In head-to-head comparisons, HodgeRankWeight outstripped existing models, achieving an overall accuracy of 82.6923% and setting a new benchmark for precision in protein sequence identification. We also offer a complimentary web server for related research.

C++ is a key curriculum in computer discipline. In this paper, guided by the system theory, the teaching content of c++ is integrated. Space-time nature of a variable , controlling of a function, iteration of a loop and encapsulation of an object are described. Guided by practice theory, a teaching method is proposed, which is case driven and integrates problems coming from science research, education and ACM contest. A trinity teaching method is proposed, which unites in-class labs, curriculum design and graduation practice. The teaching practice shows that, the application of system theory and practice theory in C++ motivates the learning interest of the students and the programming skill is improved. © 2010 IEEE.

Design coordination and conflict detection with BIM are one of the most frequent and valued uses of BIM in the construction sector. However, our observations of design coordination meetings indicate that even when BIM tools are readily available, practitioners frequently revert back to 2D digital and paper-based drawings and rarely interact with BIM tools on their own without the help of a BIM Coordinator. To better understand the challenges of interacting with BIM, we conducted a long term ethnographic study of a project team performing design coordination using state of the art BIM tools. We developed a taxonomy to represent the relationships between goals, artifacts, interactions and transitions for BIM-based design coordination processes. This research extends this prior work by analyzing the frequency of interactions with different design artifacts, characterizing interactions with state of the art BIM tools, and identifying the motivation behind interactions with design artifacts. An important contribution of this research is the identification and characterization of the transitions participants had between design artifacts and views, which has previously not been studied in depth. We identified four major interactions with design artifacts, including preparation, annotation, navigation, and recording. We identified six categories of goals for interacting with design artifacts, including prepare, grab attention, visualize, inspect, document, and query. We discuss our findings and provide possible design considerations to address the challenges we observed. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

This paper primarily explores methods for enhancing the performance of event element entity recognition tasks by enriching the positional information of vocabulary and focusing on document context. It proposes and implements an event element entity recognition algorithm based on vocabulary-enhanced dual-stream encoders named Two-Stream Word-level information Fusion BERT, TSWLIF-BERT. A word-level information fusion layer that fully integrates the vocabulary and its positional information was designed and implemented.: (1) Designed and implemented a word-level information fusion layer that fully integrates both the vocabulary and their positional information, deeply integrating the vocabulary and positional information in the pre-trained model, thereby obtaining an enhanced vocabulary model (Word-level information Fusion BERT, WLIF-BERT).(2) Based on the model WLIF-BERT, designed a dual-stream encoder that considers cross-sentence information with a global encoder and focuses on sentence-internal information with a local encoder, fully modeling the contextual information.(3) Used masked conditional random fields to solve the problem of illegal sequence label transitions in models based on conditional random fields. Experiments show that this method significantly improves performance in event element entity recognition tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

As an efficient and clean energy, microwaves have been widely used for industrial production. However, hot spots and thermal runaway have prevented the large-scale application of microwaves. In this paper, a new multiphysics model is proposed to solve the problem of non-uniform heating. In this model, electromagnetics and heat transfer are coupled to simulate the heating process. The sample is wrapped by shells in order to get more uniform electric filed distribution. The heating uniformities of shelled and non-shelled samples are discussed by considering different sizes of samples and shells. The results show that the shelled processing can obviously improve the heating uniformity of microwaves. © 2017 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society.

The problem of text plagiarism has increased because of the digital resources available on the World Wide Web. Source Retrieval and Text Alignment are two core tasks of plagiarism detection. A plagiarism source retrieval and text alignment system based on relevance ranking model is described in this paper. Not only the source retrieval task but also the text alignment task is all regarded as a process of information retrieval, and the relevance ranking is used to search the plagiarism sources and obtain the candidate plagiarism seeds. For source retrieval, BM25 model is used, while for text alignment, Vector Space Model is exploited. Furthermore, a plagiarism detection system named HawkEyes is developed based on the proposed methods and some demonstrations of HawkEyes are given. © 2016 SERSC.

The traffic information collection is the base of Intelligent *** present, there exist mixed traffic situation in urban road in China. This paper researched and implemented a system through collecting the vehicle and bicycle mixed traffic flow parameters based on pressure sensor. According to information collection requirements, we selected pressure sensor, designed the data collection, storage and other hardware circuitries and information processing software. The experiment shows that the system can meet the demand of traffic information collection in the actual.

3-Ary n-cube network, denoted by Q3 r, as the most important network topology in interconnection networks. It has been widely used because of its regular topology, low degree of nodes and easy implementation on a single chip. We study the cycle embedding into Q3 rwith structure faults, where each fault component is isomorphic to any connected subgraph of H1,3. Let M be a connected graph with M ϵ{W1,W1,1,W1,2,W1,3}. We prove that there is an arbitrary length cycle from 3 to |V (Q3/r - W)| if the faulty component is no more than r-1 and every fault component is isomorphic to any connected subgraph M, where W is the faulty components in an n-dimensional 3-ary n-cube. It is the first work which takes structure faults into account to study fault-tolerant pancyclicity of interconnection networks.
