Design of Gamma Spectrum Data Acquisition and Processing System Based on ARM / DSP

Research for detecting or obtaining radionuclide by gamma energy spectrum data acquisition and process system is one of the key issues about intelligent measurement of gamma-ray spectrum. For this reason, a software and hardware implementation schematic design based on ARM ( Advanced RISC Machines) + DSP ( Digital Signal Processor) architecture for gamma energy spectrum data acquisition and processing system is proposed. The paper discusses in detail some key technologies such as communication interface design between microcontroller ARM and digital signal processor DSP,distribution scheduling under multi-task in the ARM-Linux,DSP handling procedures for multi-channel A / D high-speed sample. At the same time,because the traditional Gaussian fitting to determine the boundary of peak is not ideal,it puts forward a weighting factor of Gaussian function least squares fitting realize boundary determined. Finally gamma-spectrum data from sodium iodide NaI( TI) scintillation detector is tested and processed in the new system. The results show that gamma energy spectrum data acquisition and process system is perfect functionality, stable and convergence in unimodal. Compared with data from conventional energy spectrometers,the system can keep better energy resolution in a wide range of pulse pass rate.

In recent years, wildfires in the corridors of transmission and distribution lines have occurred frequently, posing a serious threat to the stable operation of the power grid. To study the influence of flame cluster number on the leakage current characteristics of gaps in 10 kV lines, experiments were conducted on the discharge characteristics of a 12 cm wire-board gap under different vegetation flame cluster conditions. The variations in leakage current amplitude under different capacitive current conditions were analyzed, clarifying two discharge forms under flaming conditions. The results indicate that the leakage current in single and multiple cluster vegetation flame conditions is inversely correlated with capacitive current and shows a negative correlation with the ash content of vegetation. Under capacitive currents of 1A and 5A, breakdown occurs in the gap under straw flame conditions, attributed to the highest ash and burning particle content in the straw. This demonstrates that temperature is not the primary factor affecting gap breakdown under straw flame conditions, with ash content being dominant. The findings provide technical references for using electrical signals from lines to warn of wildfires beneath and analyze the causes of incidents. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of nuclear analysis, background superposition affects the accuracy of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research on background deduction of X-ray spectrum has always been an important step to optimize the spectral line data. Fourier transform [6] is one of the important methods of background deduction, but the threshold judgment of background deduction is involved in the calculation process, which needs to be calculated separately and the steps are cumbersome. Therefore, an adaptive hierarchical threshold judgment method based on a neural network model is proposed. Firstly, the data of experimental spectrum are regularized and preprocessed, data with low sparse characteristics are screened, seven obvious characteristic peaks are optimized, and 809 data with small weight are screened, and the accuracy is relatively improved by 79.00%. After preprocessing, the neural network model adaptive layered breakpoint algorithm [1] is used to judge the threshold. Finally, the iterative Fourier transform method is used to deduct the background of the X-ray spectrum, and the stability of the model is studied. It is concluded that the model can accurately deduct the spectral background of X-ray, and has strong stability and accuracy under the allowable error. © 2021 IEEE.

The study of turbulent mixing in the gaps of fluid sub-channels in the tight lattice under blockage conditions is of great significance to the prediction of the thermal-hydraulic behavior of fuel assemblies under accident conditions. The CFD method was used to simulate the fluid flow phenomenon in the blockage condition in the tight lattice, and the velocity field and the turbulent mixing coefficient distribution in the section and downstream of the blockage under different blockage conditions were further compared and analyzed. The analysis results show that the blockage mainly affects the flow field of the sub-channel where it is located and the adjacent sub-channels. The turbulent mixing coefficient in these channels will increase significantly;when the sub-channel blockage rate is small, the turbulent mixing coefficient downstream of the blockage will be reduced;the short length will make the flow field near the top of blockage segment more complicated. The obtained changes of transverse and axial turbulent mixing coefficients under different blockage conditions can provide a reference for the parameter setting of the sub-channel analysis program. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

To correct spectral peak drift and obtain more reliable net counts,this study proposes a long short-term memory(LSTM)model fused with a convolutional neural network(CNN)to accurately estimate the relevant parameters of a nuclear pulse signal by learning of samples.A predefined mathematical model was used to train the CNN-LSTM model and generate a dataset composed of distorted pulse *** trained model was validated using simulated *** relative errors in the amplitude estimation of pulse sequences with different degrees of distortion were obtained using triangular shaping,CNN-LSTM,and LSTM *** a result,for severely distorted pulses,the relative error of the CNN-LSTM model in estimating the pulse parameters was reduced by 14.35%compared with that of the triangular shaping *** slightly distorted pulses,the relative error of the CNN-LSTM model was reduced by 0.33%compared with that of the triangular shaping *** model was then evaluated considering two performance indicators,the correction ratio and the efficiency ratio,which represent the proportion of the increase in peak area of the two characteristic peak regions of interest(ROIs)to the peak area of the corrected characteristic peak ROI and the proportion of the increase in peak area of the two characteristic peak ROIs to the peak areas of the two shadow peak ROI,*** measurement results of the iron ore samples indicate that approximately 86.27%of the decreased peak area of the shadow peak ROI was corrected to the characteristic peak ROI,and the proportion of the corrected peak area to the peak area of the characteristic peak ROI was approximately 1.72%.The proposed CNN-LSTM model can be applied to X-ray energy spectrum correction,which is of great significance for X-ray spectroscopy and elemental content analyses.

In the experimental research on the impact of 10-35kV wildfire and tree line faults on transmission lines, it was found that are grounding overvoltage were generated. This paper studies and analyzes the mechanism of overvoltage generation. The research analyzes the three-phase voltage and zero sequence voltage caused by overvoltage. Variation characteristics, when resonance occurs, the random voltage of one phase is less than the voltage of the other two phases, and the magnitude of this voltage is determined by the neutral point displacement voltage;the moment of arc overvoltage will cause the amplitude of the zero sequence voltage and the non-fault phase voltage to be rapid within 0.6ms, the fault phase voltage is lower than the rated voltage, and presents a power frequency cycle change trend. Modeling and simulation were carried out by PSCAD/EMPTC simulation software, and the variation characteristics of arc overvoltage between metal and high resistance grounding were verified. © 2022 IEEE.

As one of the Generation IV reactors, Lead-based Fast Reactor (LFR) has been considered to be great promising owing to its advantages in nuclear safety, sustainable development of nuclear energy and nuclear waste disposal. Owing to the excellent thermal expansion characteristics of Lead-based coolant materials, the primary cooling system of LFR can operate in natural circulation driven mode. The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)-based thermal-hydraulics and safety analyses of nuclear reactors, especially liquid metal pool-type reactors have attracted great attentions in recent years. In this paper, the entire 3-D geometric model of a 10 MWth natural circulation driven LFR primary cooling system was established and simulated by ANSYS Fluent, in which the mesh was partitioned by utilizing structured meshing technology, and the porous medium model was utilized to fine the reactor core simulation. The results showed that the above LFR can operate safely in natural circulation mode, and has excellent natural circulation characteristics for the primary cooling system. © 2023, The Author(s).

There are numerous cases of forest fires caused by tree line faults in distribution lines, and it is of great significance to study the characteristic signals when tree line faults occur to prevent mountain fire accidents. In this paper, through theoretical analyses and the construction of real experimental platform, we studied the change rule of leakage current when single-phase tree line fault occurs in different trees. Through the single-phase tree line fault experiment, the relationship between leakage current and tree species, capacitive current to ground and water content when different trees touch the line is studied. The results of the study show that: the occurrence of single-phase tree line fault leakage current for the first time to reach the maximum value of time and tree species, the first time to reach the maximum value of the water content of trees and ground capacitance related. © 2024 IEEE.

The no-load test of the transformer is an important item of the power transformer insulation preventive test, but due to the limitation of the test conditions, the field test cannot reach the rated voltage. Usually, the no-load test data measured at low voltage is converted into the no-load loss under the rated voltage. Determine the transformer condition. In this paper, the no-load test of S7-50/35 three-phase oil-immersed power transformer through five different wiring methods, the no-load loss measured under low voltage is converted to the no-load loss under rated voltage, and the experimental research and analysis are carried out. The measurement error of no-load loss under six wiring methods is discussed, and the influence of different wiring methods on the conversion result of no-load loss is discussed. The research results show that the test is carried out under the rated voltage of 22.5%~32.5%, and when the wiring method is not connected to the neutral point or only connected to the neutral point of the power supply side, the no-load loss conversion error is the smallest, and the maximum error is 3%. © 2022 IEEE.

A 350 kV/20 mA high voltage DC power supply for X-ray tube is designed to use as a control circuit with Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The power use the 380 V/50 Hz three-phase electric as input signal, and output high voltage via rectifier filter, full bridge inverter, transformer booster and voltage doubling rectifier. The inverter circuit implements voltage adjustment by generating SPWM of different duty ratios in DSP. The Maxwell software is employed to calculate the distribution of the electric field as designing the transformer, and the maximum field strength is 78.521 kV/mm in winding. It is available to design the layer insulation of transformer windowing with the polyimide film in accordance with the electric field. Voltage doubling rectifier circuit uses C-W positive and negative two-way voltage doubling rectifier circuit which is a wide application in X-ray Optical Source. The numerical simulation indicates that the overall design of power is legitimate and the parameters can reach the expected requirements. © 2021 IEEE.
