Aiming at the technical problems of " untimely perception, poor transmission and difficult equipment deployment" in the monitoring and early warning of mountain disasters in the complex environment of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, a UAV-throwing monitoring device, LoRa networking and edge computing gateway, as well as other embedded hardware and software equipment applicable to deformation and micro-motion monitoring of high-level and high-risk mountain disasters were developed, and focused on the research of the system low-power adaptive data acquisition algorithm and RF frequency adaptive technology, were developed the self-organised network routing algorithm based on LoRa and Beidou RDSS, as well as the multimodal communication intelligent switching technology, so as to solve the problems of timeliness of data perception in complex environments and the problems of low-power consumption and environmental adaptability. The results show that the developed system had a good on-site pilot application effect, which meeting the requirements for long-term monitoring of mountain disasters in alpine mountainous areas, and the average packet loss rate of data transmission in extreme environments is 2. 328 8 percent, providing new technologies and methods for disaster prevention and mitigation in the construction and operation of major projects in alpine and complex mountainous areas. © 2025 Beijing Kexue Jishu yu Gongcheng Zazhishe. The absorption of H₂S-air mixtures with water requires substantial solvent volume, necessitating water recycling for environmental protection. This study examines H₂S removal through absorption in a packed column and utilizing Thiobacillus sp. and Azolla microphylla as sulfur-reducing agents for absorbent recovery. The novelty of this study lies in its pioneering integration of these sulfur bacteria as bioremediation agents for absorbent recovery in a sustainable biogas purification system, utilizing a packed column absorption process to remove H₂S from an H₂S-air mixture using water as the absorbent. The study investigated varying liquid-gas flow rate ratios (L/G) (0.01–0.03 L water/L gas), H₂S concentrations (800-1000 ppm), and plastic Raschig ring packing diameters (4–12 mm) under ambient conditions. The process involved continuous contact between H₂S-air mixture and water in the absorption column with outlet gas analyzed for residual H₂S content. The outlet liquid underwent H₂S absorption recovery using the biological agents. Results showed peak H₂S absorption efficiency of 99.98 % at L/G 0.03, 800 ppm H₂S concentration, and 4-mm packing diameter, achieving outlet H₂S concentrations of 0.2 ppm and liquid H₂S concentrations of 5000 ppm at pH 6.9. Thiobacillus sp. reduced H₂S levels from 3000 ppm–900 ppm over 9 hours under controlled conditions (1:3 microbe-H₂S ratio) and ambient temperature with stabilization occurring thereafter, while Azolla microphylla decreased H₂S content from 10,000 ppm to 1700 ppm in four days under continuous LED illumination and reaching saturation at this level. The technology of reconfigurable optical networks (RONs) is growing to be a promising solution to effectively cater to the rapidly increasing traffic generated by the digital society. Optical technology emerges as a viable alternative because to its capacity to offer a substantial bandwidth, little latency, and enhanced overall performance. Nevertheless, it is imperative to effectively manage the physical resources comprising a data center. This study provides an experimental demonstration of the RONs, which is enhanced by a control plane. The implementation relies on the monitoring of real-time network statistics. This enables the execution of various activities, including as network slice provisioning and reconfiguration, assignment of packet priority classes, and dynamic operations. These actions are performed to ensure the attainment of the desired Quality of Service level. The experimental results show the successfully implementation of RONs using Mininet Emulator and sFlow traffic monitoring technology. The results approve that optical datacenter has minimum delay with low OSNR even with long distance and fast switching time.

Improving the efficiency of current neural networks and modeling them in biological neural systems have become popular research directions in recent years. Pulse-coupled neural network (PCNN) is a well applicated model for imitating the computation characteristics of the human brain in computer vision and neural network fields. However, differences between the PCNN and biological neural systems remain: limited neural connection, high computational cost, and lack of stochastic property. In this study, random-coupled neural network (RCNN) is proposed. It overcomes these difficulties in PCNN’s neuromorphic computing via a random inactivation process. This process randomly closes some neural connections in the RCNN model, realized by the random inactivation weight matrix of link input. This releases the computational burden of PCNN, making it affordable to achieve vast neural connections. Furthermore, the image and video processing mechanisms of RCNN are researched. It encodes constant stimuli as periodic spike trains and periodic stimuli as chaotic spike trains, the same as biological neural information encoding characteristics. Finally, the RCNN is applicated to image segmentation, fusion, and pulse shape discrimination subtasks. It is demonstrated to be robust, efficient, and highly anti-noised, with outstanding performance in all applications mentioned above. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The ability of nanofluids to improve heat transmission in thermal systems is well established. This work investigates the three-dimensional theoretical behavior of Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluids in tilted magnetohydrodynamics. In this study, the Soret effect, micro-motile organisms, thermophoresis, and heat radiation are also considered. The finite element method is used to solve the challenging mathematical model. Using graphs and tables, patterns may be seen in the velocity profiles, temperature distributions, concentrations of micro- and nano-motile organisms, and nanoparticle concentrations. The governing equations for mass, concentration, momentum, and motile microbes are derived using partial derivatives. These equations are then transformed into dimensionless ordinary differential equations utilizing appropriate similarity transformations. Permeability and viscosity have an impact on the properties of fluid flow. According to the results, improved thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters raise the temperature profiles. In keeping with other studies, more inclined magnetohydrodynamics also accelerate heat transfer rates. The mass transfer rate at Fr=0.8 is 32.67% and 33.99% for Fr=1.4. Thus, mass transfer increased 1.32%. The novelties of the current work are: the Buongiorno nanofluid model is utilized for 3D geometry, inclined MHD and motile microorganisms are considered for rotating nanofluid flow, effects of slip and non-slip boundary conditions are compared, and the finite element technique is used to solve the developed problem. © 2024 The Author(s)

A novel and cost-effective approach was successfully developed for synthesizing high-performance magnetic zeolite 4A (MZ) using kaolinite and red mud as raw materials via one-step combined activation-reduction and subsequent hydrothermal synthesis. The concurrent reduction of hematite (Fe2O3) in red mud to Fe3O4 during the thermal activation of kaolinite eliminated the need for a distinct red mud reduction process, thereby streamlining the synthesis and maximizing efficiency. The resulting product comprised highly crystalline zeolite 4A encapsulating magnetic particles derived from the red mud, avoiding oxidation and corrosion of the magnetic material in acidic solutions. A series of MZ were obtained by introducing varying percentages of red mud and kaolinite, and their morphological, structural, magnetic and adsorption properties were investigated. The BET specific surface area of the obtained MZ-20 is 13.6 m2/g. MZ-20 (red mud: kaolinite mass percentage is 20%) displayed the maximum adsorption capacity of 172.38 mg/g for Sr(II). Within one hour, 96.4% of the Sr(II) was removed. The adsorption kinetics and isotherms followed the pseudo-second-order and Langmuir models, respectively. Using a mixed 0.1 M NaCl and 0.1 M HCl solution as eluent, the magnetic adsorbent maintained high desorption and regeneration ratios along with stable magnetic properties after four adsorption-desorption cycles. In summary, the MZ-20 adsorbent exhibited high adsorption capacity, recyclability and excellent magnetic properties, making it a decontamination candidate for removing Sr(II) from radioactive wastewater. © 2023, The Authors. Cr1-xAlx coatings with different low Al content were prepared on Zr alloy by magnetron sputtering. The influence of Al content on the microstructure, mechanical properties, surface wettability and oxidation resistance of the Cr1-xAlx coating was systematically evaluated. Air oxidation results show that a Cr91.4Al8.6 coating shows better air oxidation resistance. After steam oxidation tests, a Cr2O3-rich and Al2O3rich double oxide layer is found to be formed in the Cr91.4Al8.6 coating. The Al2O3rich layer can effectively prevent the surface Cr2O3 layer from being consumed by Zr diffusion along the Cr grain boundary and maintain stable double oxide structure, which improve the durability of the coating. Moreover, the diffusion evolution mechanism for the Al element during steam oxidation of the Cr91.4Al8.6 coating was analyzed in detail. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
