Deep learning has achieved excellent results in various tasks in the field of computer vision,especially in fine-grained visual *** aims to distinguish the subordinate categories of the label-level *** to high intra-class variances and high inter-class similarity,the fine-grained visual categorization is extremely *** paper first briefly introduces and analyzes the related public *** that,some of the latest methods are *** on the feature types,the feature processing methods,and the overall structure used in the model,we divide them into three types of methods:methods based on general convolutional neural network(CNN)and strong supervision of parts,methods based on single feature processing,and meth-ods based on multiple feature *** methods of the first type have a relatively simple structure,which is the result of the initial *** methods of the other two types include models that have special structures and training processes,which are helpful to obtain discriminative *** conduct a specific analysis on several methods with high accuracy on pub-lic *** addition,we support that the focus of the future research is to solve the demand of existing methods for the large amount of the data and the computing *** terms of tech-nology,the extraction of the subtle feature information with the burgeoning vision transformer(ViT)network is also an important research direction.

To solve conservation laws,efficient schemes such as essentially nonoscillatory(ENO)and weighted ENO(WENO)have been introduced to control the Gibbs *** on radial basis functions(RBFs)with the classical WENO-JS weights,a new type of WENO schemes has been proposed to solve conservation laws[*** et al.,***.,70(2017),pp.551–575].The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new formulation of conservative finite difference RBFWENO schemes to solve conservation *** the usual method for reconstructing the flux functions,the flux function is generated directly with the conservative *** with Guo and Jung(2017),the main advantage of this framework is that arbitrary monotone fluxes can be employed,while in Guo and Jung(2017)only smooth flux splitting can be used to reconstruct flux *** 1D and 2D benchmark problems are prepared to demonstrate the good performance of the new scheme.

Short message spam poses a significant threat for all mobile phone users, as it can act as an efficient tool for cyberattacks including spreading malware and phishing. Traditional anti-spam measures are only minimally effective against modern spammers. Intelligent analysis of the content to categorise the messages as Spam (unwanted and unsolicited) or Ham (useful messages) is therefore essential to safeguard the user from such attacks. Various artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are proving to be useful in the analysis of the content of such short messages to classify and filter spam. We have trained, validated and tested seven such AI techniques on the SMS spam collection dataset to identify the best model for designing and developing a content based classification system. Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) have shown the highest performance metrics (Test Accuracy: 99.28%) and hence our proposed system includes a RNN model for classification. A web app of this system has also been deployed where a single SMS can be input and the designed system can classify it as Spam or Ham. The designed system is compared against existing systems and is found to be significantly better. © 2024 IEEE.

Beam-displacement measurements are widely used in optical sensing and communications; however, their performance is affected by numerous intrinsic and extrinsic factors, including beam profile, propagation loss, and receiver architecture. Here we present a framework for designing a classically optimal beam-displacement transceiver, using quantum estimation theory. We consider the canonical task of estimating the position of a diffraction-limited laser beam after passing through an apertured volume characterized by Fresnel-number product DF. As a rule of thumb, higher-order Gaussian modes provide more information about beam displacement, but are more sensitive to loss. Applying quantum Fisher information, we design mode combinations that optimally leverage this trade-off, and show that a greater than tenfold improvement in precision is possible, relative to the fundamental mode, for a practically relevant DF=100. We also show that this improvement is realizable with a variety of practical receiver architectures. Our findings extend previous works on lossless transceivers, may have immediate impact on applications, such as atomic force microscopy and near-field optical communication, and pave the way towards globally optimal transceivers using nonclassical laser fields.

We present further progress, in the form of analytical results, on the Wigner entropy conjecture set forth by Van Herstraeten and Cerf [Phys. Rev. A 104, 042211 (2021)] and Hertz et al. [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 50, 385301 (2017)]. Said conjecture asserts that the differential entropy defined for non-negative, yet physical, Wigner functions is minimized by pure Gaussian states while the minimum entropy is equal to 1+lnπ. We prove this conjecture for the qubits formed by Fock states |0〉 and |1〉 that correspond to non-negative Wigner functions. In particular, we derive an explicit form of the Wigner entropy for those states lying on the boundary of the set of Wigner non-negative qubits. We then consider general mixed states and derive a sufficient condition for the conjecture's validity. Lastly, we elaborate on the states which are in accordance with our condition.

Integral sliding-mode robust observer-based congestion control for wireless access networks

Designing a robust active queue management(RAQM)is mandatory to avoid congestion in networks with wireless access links,because transmission control protocol(TCP)can detect con-gestion after its occurrence in a communication network and wireless links suffer from bottleneck capacity variations caused by fading and packet error rate(PER)in the acknowledgement ***,the average window size cannot be measured explicitly from the output signal and input and state delay are imposed to a network,which complicate theRAQMdesign problem in nonlinear ***,the main contribution of this study is to design a robust observer based control procedure based on integral sliding mode protocol to estimate the average window size,to control congestion in a TCP/RAQM network and to compensate input and state ***-ulation results via professional simulator NS-2 and SIMULINK confirm that the procedure can effectively estimate the window size and can robustly avoid congestion.

The disease of Kidney stones is a risky disease for individuals all over the world. Many people with kidney stones in the early phase do not detect it as an illness, and it harms the organ gradually. Precise analysis of kidney illness is vital, as it is a major health concern that needs accurate detection for appropriate and effective treatment. CT scans are one of the most extensively accessible imaging models, and they are employed for effective diagnosis. Deep learning (DL) techniques are gradually identified as beneficial tools for analyzing illness in the medical field. However, present techniques employing deep networks often meet low accuracy and overfitting challenges, demanding further alteration for optimum performance. This study presents a Leveraging Flying Foxes Optimization with an Ensemble of Deep Learning for Accurate Kidney Stone Detection (LFFOEDL-AKSD) technique in CT scans. The presented LFFOEDL-AKSD technique mainly focuses on detecting kidney stones using CI imaging. At first, the presented LFFOEDL-AKSD technique applies the pre-processing phase, which involves image resizing for uniform CT scan dimensions and data augmentation through transformations like rotation and flipping to reduce overfitting, sobel filtering (SF) sharpens edges, and the data is separated into training, validation, and testing sets for model development. The presented LFFOEDL-AKSD technique employs the swin transformer (ST) model for the feature extraction method. Furthermore, the majority voting ensemble of three DL approaches, such as the graph convolutional network (GCN), temporal convolutional network (TCN), and three-dimensional convolutional autoencoder (3D-CAE) approaches, are employed to increase the precision and reliability of the kidney stone recognition. Finally, the presented LFFOEDL-AKSD technique implements the flying foxes optimization (FFO) approach for the hyperparameter tuning involved in the ensemble learning models.
