In visual tasks such as image classification, the presence of domain shift often renders deep neural network models trained solely on specific datasets unable to generalize to new domains. In practical applications, due to the high cost of annotating rare data, it is extremely challenging to label all source domain samples comprehensively. Moreover, existing unsupervised domain adaptation methods often lack modeling of class relationships. Therefore, we propose a few-shot unsupervised domain adaptation method based on confidence-guided class relationship embedding. This approach aims to identify high-confidence target samples corresponding to sparsely labeled source samples, forming an inter-domain cross-mixed dataset. By constructing inter-domain contrastive learning, we explicitly guide the transfer of knowledge from the source domain to the target domain, leveraging the domain invariance of class relationships. Additionally, considering the varying learning difficulties of different target samples, we have devised an intra-domain class relationship contrastive loss, which leverages easy samples to facilitate the learning of difficult-to-classify samples. Experiments demonstrate that this model contributes to enhancing the performance of domain adaptation tasks.

Grid-based path planning is one of the classic problems in AI, and a popular topic in application areas such as computer games and robotics. Compressed Path Databases (CPDs) are recognized as a state-of-the-art method for grid-based path planning. It is able to find an optimal path extremely fast without state-space search. In recent years, researchers have tended to focus on improving CPDs by reducing CPD size or improving search performance. Among various methods, proximity wildcards are one of the most proven improvements in reducing the size of CPD. However, its proximity area is significantly restricted by complex terrain, which significantly affects the pathfinding efficiency and causes more additional costs. In this paper, we enhance CPDs from the perspective of improving search efficiency and reducing search costs. Our work focuses on using more flexible methods to obtain larger proximity areas, so that more heuristic information can be used to improve search performance. Experiments conducted on the Grid-Based Path Planning Competition (GPPC) benchmarks demonstrate that the two proposed methods can effectively improve search efficiency and reduce search costs by up to 3 orders of magnitude. Remarkably, our methods can further reduce the storage cost, and improve the compression capability of CPDs simultaneously. We are in an era when the diagnosis of diseases benefits greatly from digitizing their control. On the other hand, malaria is a long-standing yet one of the deadliest diseases. Its diagnosis processes still use old mechanisms, even when we have embarked on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is, therefore, more important than ever to digitize its control to enhance its diagnosis. This paper studies a digital data management model for malaria control in the context of a typical African country, Rwanda. Existing data management models are revisited, exploited, and contextualized to suit the Rwandan scenario, with the aim of their adoption. The proposed model in this study is the first of its kind for the developing world. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the advancements in cutting-edge generative AI algorithms, generating hyper realistic deepfake videos has become easier for the public. This hyperrealism consequently fails contemporary methods to reliably discriminate between original and fake videos. Therefore, to counter any threat caused by these next-generation artificially generated videos, dependable approaches are required to address this classification challenge. To achieve this objective this paper presents an interdisciplinary approach that integrates game theory with deep learning to bring a novel solution to the problem of deepfake detection and protect the detectors against anti-forensics attack. To the best of our knowledge, there does not exist any other work dedicated to video deepfake detection using the integrated approach of game theory and deep learning. The game is designed for two players to distinguish between pristine and deepfake videos. The game utilizes different strategies for the data manipulator as a player P1 and the deepfake detector as P2. Strategies used for P1 involve the formation of the subsets like open and close-set, combined subsets, imbalanced dataset, and post-processing attacks to create challenging strategies for P2. To counter the strategies of P1,we propose a novel Regularized Forensic Efficient Net (RFE Net) that employs regularization techniques, such as batch normalization, dropout, augmentation, and early stopping. Based on the P1 move, the detector chooses the regularization techniques by considering factors such as generalizability and efficiency. Regularization-based strategies improve the performance of our model when compared to contemporary methods. Computation of the Nash equilibrium with the proposed zero-sum game helps to effectively detect deepfakes and leads the game to maximum payoff. Today's marketing strategies place a high priority on comprehending customer sentiments. It will not only give businesses a better understanding of how their clients view their goods and/or services, but it will also give them suggestions on how to enhance their offerings. We make an effort to comprehend the relationship between various factors in customer reviews on an online store for women's clothing. The proposed system also classifies each review, according to, whether it recommends the product in question or not, and whether it has a positive, negative, or neutral sentiment. With the exception of review titles and review texts, we used univariate and multivariate analyses on datasets features to accomplish these goals. Additionally, we have implemented a bidirectional recurrent neural network (RNN) with a long-short term memory unit (LSTM) for sentiment and recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

This research-to-practice WIP paper describes methods for improving assessment. Assessment is crucial for pro-gram accreditation and continuous improvement in engineering education. Outcome-based learning is a recent student-centred approach that can be used perform assessment. Under this paradigm, clear outcomes related to the knowledge and skills that the students should have after completing the course are identified and assessed. The student attainments are measured against the outcomes using clear and well-defined metrics. In this paper, an outcome-based strategy is proposed and used for assessing courses in control systems. In order to improve assessment reliability, the learning outcomes are broken down into sub-outcomes, which are used as performance indicators. The advantage of the proposed method is twofold, first it provides more accurate and reliable metrics for measuring student attainment, and second, the assessment results are personalized, allowing to evaluate individual students and identify means to help them. This approach also allows to identify common mistakes and misconceptions. Data are collected for several semesters and analyzed. It turns out that the proposed approach allows to obtain more accurate and reliable assessment results. © 2024 IEEE.

A pneumothorax is the accumulation of air in the pleural space between the chest and lungs. Air that is in the lungs during breathing can leak out of the lungs and become trapped between the chest and lungs in the thoracic cavity, causing chest pain, difficulty breathing, and ultimately the complete collapse of the taut lungs. pneumothorax. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment should be started. Neural networks have proven effective in image classification tasks, and many researchers believe that training neural network models can detect radiologist-diagnosed chest abnormalities such as pneumonia and pneumothorax. is proving. Moreover, we utilize various techniques, including Stochastic Weight Averaging (SWA), aggressive data augmentation, and learning rate schedule. This research-to-practice WIP paper describes concept maps for computer organization. A concept map is a tool that can be used to describe the relationship between the topics (or concepts) in a specific field of study. Concept maps are used in a variety of applications to improve curricula and assessment, particularly in K12 and undergraduate STEM education. In this paper we use concept maps for modeling computer organization topics and assess their importance with respect to the depth and breadth levels required for computer science and engineering graduates. The proposed concept maps focus on two aspects: The first one is the idea of the centrality of the topics. Centrality is an important concept in graph theory. Each topic in the concept map is given a level of centrality or a centrality index. The second aspect is the relationship between the topics, particularly between the topics with high level of centrality. The objective of the modeling is to identify the most central topics and come up with a set of more standard learning outcomes for undergraduate level computer organization courses. © 2024 IEEE.

Optimization in ad hoc networks is a highly specialized task because the structure of the network is loosely formed, and each node is independently responsible for its operation. In order to obtain a better result from this solely formed networks this report offer extensive Dynamic Topology Management (DTM) method. Dynamic routing protocols lager lines, dividend balancing, Life-saving administration, guarantee of reliability, cross-layer design, security aspects and the on-time monitoring and discovery of topology changes are the main objectives and steps to be accomplished. Real-time Location monitoring and forest structure discovery are made possible by employing adaptive routing protocols, namely Dynamic Source Routing(DSR) and Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV). Also, the algorithms are capable of making advance adjustments to routing routes and resource allocations drawn from the mobility patterns forecasting which is vital. Load balancing methods, which distribute traffic in a network evenly, enable the system to run efficiently and avoid problems caused by overloading. Algorithms that are energy-efficient and make the best use of energy resources having their topology's optimized are introduced to the streamlined energy distribution systems. These algorithms are focused on the node's energy level. Through fault tolerance techniques which recognize and handle failures in nodes and partitioned networks, connectedness activity is a continuous one. Through QoS perception, the network topology might automatically be tailored to conform to the given quality criteria, thus not restricting the choice for differing applications. The proposed could have defenses against adversary nodes and their potential DDoS attacks which will enhance network protection.
