Incorporating an active reconfigurable intelligent surface on an autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs), denoted as an aerial reconfigurable intelligent surface (ARIS), introduces a novel dimension for secure transmissions. Given the constraint of limited battery capacity in AAVs, energy management emerges as a key challenge within AAV networks. In response, we propose a secure energy efficiency (SEE) transmission scheme for ARIS networks, where active ARIS is strategically deployed to enhance information security. In addition, a SEE optimal problem is formulated by considering the imperfect wiretap channel state information to optimize the active beamforming vector and the ARIS position. For this non-convex problem, we first reformulate the fractional SEE objective into an equivalent form and subsequently decompose it into two distinct subproblems: optimizing the AAV’s position and designing the active beamforming. For the AAV’s position optimization, we propose a sophisticated deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm that enables the AAV to autonomously determine the optimal ARIS position through a self-learning strategy. Regarding beamforming design, we transform this aspect into a quadratic constrained quadratic programming problem and design an alternating direction multiplier method to optimize the reflection coefficient. Subsequently, an alternating optimization algorithm is proposed to synergistically solve these subproblems. Empirical simulations validate our proposed scheme, indicating an improvement in SEE of up to 47.2%. This significant improvement underscores the efficacy of the proposed ARIS-assisted secure transmission scheme in enhancing both security and energy efficiency in AAV networks. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

A novel overlapping minimization SMOTE algorithm for imbalanced classification

The synthetic minority oversampling technique(SMOTE) is a popular algorithm to reduce the impact of class imbalance in building classifiers, and has received several enhancements over the past 20 years. SMOTE and its variants synthesize a number of minority-class sample points in the original sample space to alleviate the adverse effects of class imbalance. This approach works well in many cases, but problems arise when synthetic sample points are generated in overlapping areas between different classes, which further complicates classifier training. To address this issue, this paper proposes a novel generalization-oriented rather than imputation-oriented minorityclass sample point generation algorithm, named overlapping minimization SMOTE(OM-SMOTE). This algorithm is designed specifically for binary imbalanced classification problems. OM-SMOTE first maps the original sample points into a new sample space by balancing sample encoding and classifier generalization. Then, OM-SMOTE employs a set of sophisticated minority-class sample point imputation rules to generate synthetic sample points that are as far as possible from overlapping areas between classes. Extensive experiments have been conducted on 32 imbalanced datasets to validate the effectiveness of OM-SMOTE. Results show that using OM-SMOTE to generate synthetic minority-class sample points leads to better classifier training performances for the naive Bayes,support vector machine, decision tree, and logistic regression classifiers than the 11 state-of-the-art SMOTE-based imputation algorithms. This demonstrates that OM-SMOTE is a viable approach for supporting the training of high-quality classifiers for imbalanced classification. Genetic Algorithm (GA) as a bio-inspired optimization technique, has shown significant potential for applications in many fields. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the main types of evolutionary operators in GA - selection, crossover, and mutation, which have a direct and significant influence on optimization performance. First, this study systematically summarizes the various evolutionary operators currently used in the field of GA. Subsequently, these different operators are embedded into the standard GA framework to assess their influence on algorithm performance. Last, this paper also explores the effect of setting crossover and mutation rates on GA performance, determining the optimal values of these parameters through a series of experiments. This research not only offers a comprehensive overview of the evolutionary operators in GA but also demonstrates the specific performance of different operator combinations through empirical evidence, providing valuable reference for further research and application of GA. © 2024 IEEE.

Considering the fact that the test case runs abnormally and the test case execution fails during the development and debugging of the 5G terminal protocol conformance test system. Here useful approach is implemented by embedding data copy and storage module in the system, which completes the encapsulation, copy and storage of massive data generated during the operation of the system, so that equipment developers can correctly locate the errors in the system according to the data, and repair the system loopholes to ensure the stability and accuracy of the system. © 2024 IEEE.

Pattern mining is a core objective within data mining, involving the detection of frequent itemsets (collections of values) within databases. This process serves to extract valuable insights from the data, facilitating informed decision-making. In recent times, a range of algorithms has emerged to adapt this task to the realm of uncertain *** has a wide range of applications, such as analyzing medical data to identify correlated symptoms based on their existential probabilities. However, pattern mining algorithms also pose the risk of revealing sensitive information. As far as we know, there is no existing solution that addresses the inadvertent disclosure of sensitive itemsets when pattern mining algorithms are employed on uncertain databases. This paper addresses this problem by proposing three heuristic approaches, which ensure that sensitive expected frequent itemsets are not discovered while minimizing undesirable side effects for other itemsets. The first heuristic approach (called aggregate) deletes some transactions from an uncertain database. The second approach (named disaggregate) removes some selected items from each transaction. And the third approach (called the hybrid approach) combines the two previous approaches, and deletes some selected items from some selected transactions. An experimental evaluation is presented to assess and compare the effectiveness of the three approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

The fast outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and rapid proliferation of its variants have continued to pose a huge challenge to people around the world. Wearing medical masks properly in public and private settings can protect people from COVID-19, which brings a growing demand for automatic detection services of face mask wearing conditions. In this article, we propose a fine-grained detector called ECA_YOLOX-S to identify the wearing status of face masks. Efficient channel attention is introduced into YOLOX-S to reach a tradeoff between effectiveness and efficiency. To demonstrate the performance of our proposed method, a Fine-grained Face Mask (FineFM) dataset is created, which covers four classes of mask wearing status. The proposed FineFM dataset has 16 955 annotated images and covers multiple realistic scenarios. To the best of authors' knowledge, it has the largest number of improper mask wearing images among all similar datasets for realistic scenes. Experiments conducted on the FineFM dataset demonstrate that ECA_YOLOX-S achieves an overall mean average precision (mAP)@.50:95 of 86.80% for moderate scenes and an overall mAP@.50:95 of 73.20% for complex scenes, outperforming its benchmark model. Moreover, experiments conducted on other realistic and simulated datasets indicate that the proposed detector has advantages over other methods. © 2020 IEEE.

Over the past 20 years, there has been a surge of diabetes cases in Iraq. Blood tests administered in the absence of professional medical judgment have allowed for the early detection of diabetes, which will fasten disease detection and lower medical costs. This work focuses on the use of a Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) neural network for diabetes classification in Iraq. Some medical tests and body features were used as classification features. The most relevant features were selected using the Binary Dragon Fly Algorithm (BDA) Binary version of the selection method because the features either selected or not. To reduce the number of features that are used in prediction,features without effects will be eliminated. This effects the classification accuracy, which is very important in both the computation time of the method and the cost of medical test that the individual will take during annual check *** work found out that among 11 features, only five features are most relevant to the disease. These features provide a classification accuracy up to 98% among three classes: diabetic, non diabetic and pre-diabetic. © 2023 the Author(s)

Lung disease is a worldwide health problem, and accurate image diagnosis of lung disease is crucial for patient treatment and management. In recent years, deep learning has made significant progress in the field of medical image analysis, in which Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), as a special deep learning model, show great potential in lung disease diagnosis. In this study, we propose a graph neural network-based model for lung disease diagnosis, aiming to automate the analysis of lung images and lesion detection. First, we represent the lung images as a graph structure, where each pathogenic region represents a node in the graph. Then, the adjacency matrix and node features of the graph are constructed, and the image is subjected to feature extraction and representation learning using a graph neural network, which enables the model to capture the structural and contextual information in the image. To further improve the performance of the model, we introduce multilayer graph convolution and multilayer perceptron to enhance the sensitivity and differentiation ability of the graph neural network for lung lesions. We conducted experimental evaluations based on publicly available lung image datasets and compared them with traditional machine learning methods as well as other deep learning models. The experimental results show that the proposed graph neural network model achieves excellent performance on the lung disease diagnosis task. © 2024 IEEE.
