People with mobility limitations and impairments frequently receive repetitive remedial physiotherapy sessions to reduce functional deficits in the afflicted area. Even though therapy processes can enhance functional results and reduce the likelihood of long-term disability, patients frequently fail to fully participate in physical therapies due to procedural pain. In recent years, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence have played a pivotal role in health care, particularly in the treatment of patients with physical limitations. Furthermore, leveraging the metaverse and the Internet of Things (IoT) provides value to therapies such as physical therapy by improving the environment while saving effort and time. In this paper, we propose a new system for physical therapy clinics in Saudi Arabia. It applies modern technologies such as metaverse, AI, and IoT to overcome the barriers that therapists and patients face during treatment, like inaccurate measurements, long periods of rehabilitation, and ongoing pain and feelings of fear.

The increasing number of users demanding voice and data communication through cellular networks has driven the need for higher network throughput rates and lower latency. LTE femtocells address this pressing problem by offloading cellular service providers networks and increase both coverage and capacity for their users. Assuming a wired DSL backhaul for these femtocells, this paper shows simulations exploring a case where the DSLAM represents the main bottleneck when the cellular network operator and the DSL provider do not collaborate. This paper introduces the concept of Intermediary Mean Opinion Score which may be employed at femtocell gateways to isolate network problems and feed into customer experience management. We also propose and investigate a technique of mapping the human audio recency into the MOS calculation. Results are presented to illustrate the information that can be extracted from a lightweight monitor in the network.

In the past, several automatic video summarization systems had been proposed to generate video summary. However, a generic video summary that is generated based only on audio, visual and textual saliencies will not satisfy every user. This paper proposes a novel system for generating semantically meaningful personalized video summaries, which are tailored to the individual user's preferences over video semantics. Each video shot is represented using a semantic multinomial which is a vector of posterior semantic concept probabilities. The proposed system stitches video summary based on summary time span and top-ranked shots that are semantically relevant to the user's preferences. The proposed summarization system is evaluated using both quantitative and subjective evaluation metrics. The experimental results on the performance of the proposed video summarization system are encouraging.

The authors model a virtual circuit in a computer network as a sequence of servers in tandem. They explicitly take into account cross traffic at the servers from other virtual circuits. The analysis of the model leads them to propose a novel flow control scheme, which they term send-time control. A measure to evaluate the performance of flow control schemes, called the packet performance index, is proposed. They compare the send-time control scheme with the window-based flow control scheme of transmission control protocol (TCP) using simulation.
