These days' smart buildings have high intensive information and massive operational parameters, not only extensive power consumption. With the development of computation capability and future 5 G, the ACP theory(i.e., artificial systems,computational experiments, and parallel computing) will play a much more crucial role in modeling and control of complex systems like commercial and academic buildings. The necessity of making accurate predictions of energy consumption out of a large number of operational parameters has become a crucial problem in smart buildings. Previous attempts have been made to seek energy consumption predictions based on historical data in buildings. However, there are still questions about parallel building consumption prediction mechanism using a large number of operational parameters. This article proposes a novel hybrid deep learning prediction approach that utilizes long short-term memory as an encoder and gated recurrent unit as a decoder in conjunction with ACP theory. The proposed approach is tested and validated by real-world dataset, and the results outperformed traditional predictive models compared in this paper.

Although fantastic milestones of Gallium nitride (GaN)-based materials in optoelectronic devices had been reached, the focus on the optimization of their geometrical structure for gas-sensing applications was relatively scarce. In this work, we demonstrated NO2 gas sensor based on p-type GaN hexagonal pits (GaN-HP) with high surface-to-volume ratio by wet etching method. The fabricated NO2 gas sensor had high sensitivity, high selectivity, fast response/recovery times. The response of p-type GaN-HP with etching time for 10 min to 2 ppm NO2 gas was 6.2%, which also have quick response and recovery time at room temperature. UV light drastically enhanced the response of p-type GaN-HP sensor by 1.3 times to 100 ppm NO2 . The gas sensing mechanism of p-type GaN-HP gas sensor was explored, which provided a theoretical and experimental basis for further research and development of high-performance gas sensors based on GaN material. © 2022, The Authors. Recently, communication technology is highly developed. The communication convenience that people enjoy is relying on a large number of base station antenna devices set up by major operating companies. When the parameters of the antennas in local area are adjusted reasonably, the Reference Signal Receiving Power (RSRP), Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) and other related indicators in the region will be at a reasonable level to ensure the communication quality of users. However, the number of antennas is huge, and manual adjustment of various parameters is bound to cost a lot of money and time. Therefore, a multi-antenna simulation platform is built in this paper, which applies reinforcement learning to self-learn the parameters of the antennas, and learns an optimal antenna tuning policy. Finally, the results are migrated to real antenna scenarios, which saves the cost of antenna adjustment and has high economic value. This paper proposed a method that apply multi-agent reinforcement learning technology to the multi-antenna tuning scene, and achieved good results in the simulation scene. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, we report a hybrid PEI/PEG-BP sensor (composite material of black phosphorus-organic framework-derived PEI/PEG nanohybrid) prepared by a one-pot method, in which the existence of PEI/PEG onto BP was confirmed by SEM, EDS, XPS and UPS. The gas sensing properties of the PEI/PEG-BP sensor, including the sensor response, response/recovery times, repeatability, selectivity, and effects of humidity on the sensor, were studied by exposure to several CO 2 gas concentrations ranging from 200 ppm to 300,000 ppm at room temperature (25 ℃). The results show that the PEI/PEG-BP sensor had an extremely wide detection range, with lower and upper detection limits of 200 ppm and 160,000 ppm, respectively. The response of the PEI/PEG-BP sensor to 200 ppm, and 160,000 ppm CO 2 gas at room temperature ( RT ) was 4.48%, and 254.02%, respectively, showing fast response/recovery time, excellent repeatability and high selectivity. The gas-sensing properties of the PEI/PEG-BP sensor are better than BP, PEI, PEG, PEI-BP and PEG-BP sensors. The superior properties of the PEI/PEG-BP sensor can be attributed to the BP framework, porous structure, electron doping, and surface reactive groups such as -NH 2 and -OH. The PEI/PEG-BP sensor, with its excellent gas-sensing performance will help us to further explore the changes of CO 2 concentration in microbial growth systems, natural environments, industrial production and so on. © 2022, The Authors. Simultaneous tactile exploration and grasp refinement for unknown objects

This paper addresses the problem of simultaneously exploring an unknown object to model its shape, using tactile sensors on robotic fingers, while also improving finger placement to optimise grasp stability. In many situations, a robot will have only a partial camera view of the near side of an observed object, for which the far side remains occluded. We show how an initial grasp attempt, based on an initial guess of the overall object shape, yields tactile glances of the far side of the object which enable the shape estimate and consequently the successive grasps to be improved. We propose a grasp exploration approach using a probabilistic representation of shape, based on Gaussian Process Implicit Surfaces. This representation enables initial partial vision data to be augmented with additional data from successive tactile glances. This is combined with a probabilistic estimate of grasp quality to refine grasp configurations. When choosing the next set of finger placements, a bi-objective optimisation method is used to mutually maximise grasp quality and improve shape representation during successive grasp attempts. Experimental results show that the proposed approach yields stable grasp configurations more efficiently than a baseline method, while also yielding improved shape estimate of the grasped object. Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is envisioned as a key pillar for enabling the upcoming sixth generation (6G) communication systems, requiring not only reliable communication functionalities but also highly accurate environmental sensing capabilities. In this paper, we design a novel networked ISAC framework to explore the collaboration among multiple users for environmental sensing. Specifically, multiple users can serve as powerful sensors, capturing back scattered signals from a target at various angles to facilitate reliable computational imaging. Centralized sensing approaches are extremely sensitive to the capability of the leader node because it requires the leader node to process the signals sent by all the users. To this end, we propose a two-step distributed cooperative sensing algorithm that allows low-dimensional intermediate estimate exchange among neighboring users, thus eliminating the reliance on the centralized leader node and improving the robustness of sensing. This way, multiple users can cooperatively sense a target by exploiting the block-wise environment sparsity and the interference cancellation technique. Furthermore, we analyze the mean square error of the proposed distributed algorithm as a networked sensing performance metric and propose a beamforming design for the proposed network ISAC scheme to maximize the networked sensing accuracy and communication performance subject to a transmit power constraint. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared with the state-of-the-art algorithms. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Due to the decentralized and public nature of the Blockchain ecosystem, the malicious activities on the Ethereum platform impose immeasurable losses for the users. Existing phishing scam detection methods mostly rely only on the analysis of original transaction networks, which is difficult to dig deeply into the transaction patterns hidden in the network structure of transaction interaction. In this paper, we propose a Transaction SubGraph Network (TSGN) based phishing accounts identification framework for Ethereum. We first extract transaction subgraphs for target accounts and then expand these subgraphs into corresponding TSGNs based on the different mapping mechanisms. In order to make our model incorporate more important information about real transactions, we encode the transaction attributes into the modeling process of TSGNs, yielding two variants of TSGN, i.e., Directed-TSGN and Temporal-TSGN, which can be applied to the different attributed networks. Especially, by introducing TSGN into multi-edge transaction networks, the Multiple-TSGN model proposed is able to preserve the temporal transaction flow information and capture the significant topological pattern of phishing scams, while reducing the time complexity of modeling large-scale networks. Extensive experimental results show that TSGN models can provide more potential information to improve the performance of phishing detection by incorporating graph representation learning. Modern manufacturing applications such as Industry 4.0 focus on integrated industrial automation and IoT to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. To establish and implement this new approach, new technologies like IoT, wireless networking control systems (WNCS), and cloud computing are necessary. This paper explains different techniques adopted in control systems applied via IoT, i.e., SCADA, HIL, and explained the PID Plus filter architecture. The Internet of Things (IoT), which enables independent devices to use the internet for data exchange, is a significant recent interest in the communication between machines. The Internet and the WWW have made people’s connections revolutionized. They came from the need to share science amongst industries. Human communications are similar to IoT subjects such as codes, representations, and tools. Various organizations, including start-ups, are currently testing them. The smart city term is also used to define IoT applications such as intelligent parking, jamming, and waste management. There is already a lot of expertise in control systems for extensive testing facilities for connecting thousands of devices, which more and more have a TCP/IP link. This paper examines the potential integration of IoT and control Systems.

In the Internet of things (IoT) era, vehicles and other intelligent components in an intelligent transportation system (ITS) are connected, forming vehicular networks (VNs) that provide efficient and safe traffic and ubiquitous access to various applications. However, as the number of nodes in an ITS increases, it is challenging to satisfy a varied and large number of service requests with different quality of service (QoS) and security requirements in highly dynamic VNs. Intelligent nodes in VNs can compete or cooperate for limited network resources to achieve the objective for either an individual or a group. Game theory (GT), a theoretical framework designed for strategic interactions among rational decision makers sharing scarce resources, can be used to model and analyze individual or group behaviors of communicating entities in VNs. This paper primarily surveys the recent developments of GT in solving various challenges of VNs. This survey starts with an introduction to the background of VNs. A review of GT models studied in the VNs is then introduced, including the basic concepts, classifications, and applicable vehicular issues. After discussing the requirements of VNs and the motivation of using GT, a comprehensive literature review on GT applications in dealing with the challenges of current VNs is provided. Furthermore, recent contributions of GT to VNs that are integrated with diverse emerging 5G technologies are surveyed. Finally, the lessons learned are given, and several key research challenges and possible solutions of applying GT in VNs are outlined. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance.
