The study of dynamics characteristic and control for electromechanical coupling systems has important theoretical value and practical significance in the design of industrial robots. As a nonlinear dynamics system, excitable neuron can generate multi-mode oscillations, especially the piezoelectric neuron can perceive external sound waves and vibrations and be regarded as a microcontroller. In this paper, by using an induction coil to couple the piezoelectric neuron to a mechanical device, the external vibration energy is captured and then shared to drive the beam, this design provide clues for applications in computational neuroscience and intelligent control of dynamical systems. The Hamilton energies of piezoelectric neuron, coupling channel and mechanical device are calculated based on the Helmholtz's theorem and physical properties of each electronic component in the circuit. Analysis results indicate that under the same set of parameters, the energy of mechanical device and coupling channel is affected by the ratio of the inductance value inside the device to the inductance value of the coupling channel, and the larger ratio can induce the greater energy of mechanical device and smaller energy of coupling channel, but the total energy of the coupled system remains unchanged. For the coupled models by a memristor, it is found that complete synchronization can be achieved under a suitable coupling strength regardless of whether the coupled system is periodic or chaotic, and periodic firing can be completely synchronized at a smaller coupling strength than chaotic firing. Finally, synchronization behavior of the array coupled by resistors is explored, the results display that completely or quasi-completely synchronization at appropriate coupling strengths and times evolution can be achieved. Recently, some hypergraph-based methods have been proposed to deal with the problem of model fitting in computer vision, mainly due to the superior capability of hypergraph to represent the complex relationship between data points. However, a hypergraph becomes extremely complicated when the input data include a large number of data points (usually contaminated with noises and outliers), which will significantly increase the computational burden. In order to overcome the above problem, we propose a novel hypergraph optimization based model fitting (HOMF) method to construct a simple but effective hypergraph. Specifically, HOMF includes two main parts: an adaptive inlier estimation algorithm for vertex optimization and an iterative hyperedge optimization algorithm for hyperedge optimization. The proposed method is highly efficient, and it can obtain accurate model fitting results within a few iterations. Moreover, HOMF can then directly apply spectral clustering, to achieve good fitting performance. Extensive experimental results show that HOMF outperforms several state-of-the-art model fitting methods on both synthetic data and real images, especially in sampling efficiency and in handling data with severe outliers. Singularities arise in diverse disciplines and play a key role in both exploring fundamental laws of physics and making highly-sensitive sensors [1–14]. Higher-order (≥ 3) singularities, with further improved performance [15–19], however, usually require exquisite tuning of multiple (≥ 3) coupled degrees of freedom [15–17] or nonlinear control [18, 19], thus severely limiting their applications in practice. Here we propose theoretically and confirm using mechanics experiments that, cubic singularities can be realized in a coupled binary system without any nonlinearity, only by observing the phase tomography of the driven response. By steering the cubic phase-tomographic singularities in an electrostatically-tunable micromechanical system, enhanced cubic-root response to frequency perturbation and voltage-controlled nonreciprocity are demonstrated. Our work opens up a new phase-tomographic method for interacted-system research, and sheds new light on building and engineering advanced singular devices with simple and well-controllable elements, with a wide range of applications including precision metrology, portable nonreciprocal devices, and on-chip mechanical computing. © 2023, CC BY-SA.

We give strong analytic and numerical evidence that, under mild measurement assumptions, two qubits cannot both be recycled to generate Bell nonlocality between multiple independent observers on each side. This is surprising, as under the same assumptions it is possible to recycle just one of the qubits an arbitrarily large number of times [P. J. Brown and R. Colbeck, Phys. Rev. Lett. 125, 090401 (2020)]. We derive corresponding one-sided monogamy relations that rule out two-sided recycling for a wide range of parameters, based on a general tradeoff relation between the strengths and maximum reversibilities of qubit measurements. We also show if the assumptions are relaxed to allow sufficiently biased measurement selections, then there is a narrow range of measurement strengths that allows two-sided recycling for two observers on each side, and propose an experimental test. Our methods may be readily applied to other types of quantum correlations, such as steering and entanglement, and hence to general information protocols involving sequential measurements.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely applied in the field of wireless communication. However, due to the inherent broadcasting characteristics of wireless media, the realization of ground to UAV communication still faces many challenges when there are eavesdroppers on the ground. We consider a new scenario where a jammer UAV tends to interfere with the eavesdroppers to guarantee secrecy performance. Then, the flight trajectory of UAV is optimized to obtain the maximized average secrecy rate. The optimization problem we proposed is non-convex and it's very complicated. To solve this problem, we optimize the increment of UAV trajectory iteration and the non-convex optimization problem is decomposed into the convex problem of each iteration. The feasibility of this method is verified by numerical simulation.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has apparently become one of the most important techniques discovered by humans in history while the human brain is widely recognized as one of the most complex systems in the universe. One fundamental critical question which would affect human sustainability remains open: Will artificial intelligence (AI) evolve to surpass human intelligence in the future? This paper shows that in theory new AI twins with fresh cellular level of AI techniques for neuroscience could approximate the brain and its functioning systems (e.g. perception and cognition functions) with any expected small error and AI without restrictions could surpass human intelligence with probability one in the end. This paper indirectly proves the validity of the conjecture made by Frank Rosenblatt 70 years ago about the potential capabilities of AI, especially in the realm of artificial neural networks. This paper also gives the answer to the two widely discussed fundamental questions: 1) whether AI could have potentials of discovering new principles in nature;2) whether error backpropagation (BP) algorithm commonly and efficiently used in tuning parameters in AI applications is also adopted in the brain. Intelligence is just one of fortuitous but sophisticated creations of the nature which has not been fully discovered. Like mathematics and physics, with no restrictions artificial intelligence would lead to a new subject with its self-contained systems and principles. We anticipate that this paper opens new doors for 1) AI twins and other AI techniques to be used in cellular level of efficient neuroscience dynamic analysis, functioning analysis of the brain and brain illness solutions;2) new worldwide collaborative scheme for interdisciplinary teams concurrently working on and modelling different types of neurons and synapses and different level of functioning subsystems of the brain with AI techniques;3) development of low energy of AI techniques with the aid of fundament

We propose an alternative scheme for phase estimation in a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with photon recycling. It is demonstrated that with the same coherent-state input and homodyne detection, our proposal possesses a phase sensitivity beyond the traditional MZI. For instance, it can achieve an enhancement factor of ∼9.32 in the phase sensitivity compared with the conventional scheme even with a photon loss of 10% on the photon-recycled arm. From another point of view, the quantum Cramér-Rao bound (QCRB) is also investigated. It is found that our scheme is able to achieve a lower QCRB than the traditional one. Intriguingly, the QCRB of our scheme is dependent of the phase shift φ while the traditional scheme has a constant QCRB regardless of the phase shift. Finally, we present the underlying mechanisms behind the enhanced phase sensitivity (due to the improved number of photons inside the interferometer). We believe that our results may pave the way to enhance the phase sensitivity via photon recycling. © 2023, CC BY.

In this paper, we are concerned with a new class of mean field games which involve a finite number of agents. With help of conditional mathematical expectation, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the decentralized open-loop Nash equilibrium for finite-population games. By decoupling a non-standard forward-backward stochastic differential equation, we design a set of decentralized strategies in term of two differential Riccati equations. Instead of the s-Nash equilibrium, the set of decentralized strategies is shown be a Nash equilibrium. Furthermore, we examine the infinite-horizon problem and give a neat condition for solvability of the related algebraic Riccati equation.
