A new characterization of balanced rotation symmetric(n, m)-functions is presented. Based on the characterization, the nonexistence of balanced rotation symmetric(pr, m)-functions is determined, where p is an odd prime and m ≥ 2. And there exist balanced rotation symmetric(2r, m)-functions for 2 ≤ m ≤ 2r-r. With the help of these results, we also prove that there exist rotation symmetric resilient(2r, m)-functions for 2 ≤ m ≤ 2r-r-1.

This paper deals with the problems of robust stochastic stabilization and H-infinity control for Markovian jump nonlinear singular systems with Wiener process via a fuzzy-control approach. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent a nonlinear singular system. The purpose of the robust stochastic stabilization problem is to design a state feedback fuzzy controller such that the closed-loop fuzzy system is robustly stochastically stable for all admissible uncertainties. In the robust H-infinity control problem, in addition to the stochastic stability requirement, a prescribed performance is required to be achieved. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) sufficient conditions are developed to solve these problems, respectively. The expressions of desired state feedback fuzzy controllers are given. Finally, a numerical simulation is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Aging population and disabled assistance have become serious social problems these years. However, it is impossible to make sure that every old people has a caregiver. Therefore, the home service robot is a good method to mitigate these issues. Although current robotic technology is mature, service robots with advanced functions are very expensive. In this paper, we developed an identity recognition low-cost home service robot based on Turtlebot and Robot Operating System(ROS). In order to verify the performance of the service robot, we designed a series of experiments in a simulated home environment. The average successful rates of the designed experiments were all above 90%. The results confirmed that the low-cost service robot satisfied our design target.

Realistic animation of various interactions between multiple fluids, possibly undergoing phase change, is a challenging task in computer graphics. The visual scope of multi-phase multi-fluid phenomena covers complex tangled surface structures and rich color variations, which can greatly enhance visual effect in graphics applications. Describing such phenomena requires more complex models to handle challenges involving the calculation of interactions, dynamics and spatial distribution of multiple phases, which are often involved and hard to obtain real-time performance. Recently, a diverse set of algorithms have been introduced to implement the complex multi-fluid phenomena based on the governing physical laws and novel discretization methods to accelerate the overall computation while ensuring numerical stability. By sorting through the target phenomena of recent research in the broad subject of multiple fluids, this state-of-the-art report summarizes recent advances on multi-fluid simulation in computer graphics.

This paper investigates the formation control problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems with a virtual leader. A distributed formation control strategy based on linear extended state observer(LESO) is proposed under the hypothesis that velocity of the agent s neighbors could not be measured. Some sufficient conditions are established to ensure that the nonlinear multi-agent systems form a predefined formation with switching topology when the nonlinear function is known. Moreover, the tracking errors are bounded with external disturbance. Lastly,a numerical example with different scenarios is presented to demonstrate the validity of the obtained results.

This paper investigates the matrix expression of state equation and reachability of a class of Petri nets(PNs) by using the semi-tensor product of matrices(STP). First, we get the formula for the number of states of the PNs based on the combinatorial mathematics method. The states and transitions of the PNs are expressed as vector forms, respectively, then the state equation of the PNs is established by using STP. Second, the transition-state adjacency matrix(TSAM) of the PNs is proposed, several necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the reachability of the PNs by using this state equation and TSAM. An algorithm is also designed to find all the firing sequences of any two reachable states. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the theoretical results in this paper and shows that the new results are very effective in investigating the reachability of the PNs.
