Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) is one of the core technologies of 6G, which combines sensing and communication functions into a single system. However, limited computing and storage resources make it impractical to combine multiple sensing models into a single device, constraining the system’s function and performance. Therefore, this article proposes enhancing ISAC with the mixture of experts (MoE) architecture. Rigorously, we first investigate ISAC and MoE, including their concepts, advantages, and applications. Then, we explore how MoE can enhance ISAC from the perspectives of signal processing and network optimization. Building on this, we propose an MoE based ISAC framework, which uses a gating network to selectively activate multiple experts in handling sensing tasks under given communication conditions, thereby improving the overall performance. The case study demonstrates that the proposed framework can effectively increase the accuracy and robustness in detecting targets by using wireless communication signal, providing strong support for the practical deployment and applications of the ISAC system. © 2024, CC BY.

A lab-on-a-chip (LOC) thermal mass flow sensor based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology is designed, fabricated, and characterized. Vanadium dioxide (VO2), a nonlinear phase-change material with 3-order of change in resistance is placed in the down streaming direction of the heat source as the sensing element. The resistance of VO2 is monitored under gas flow rates ranging from 0 to 37.8 μL·s-1 with a maximum sensitivity of 368.56 ppm/(μL·min-1). The studies presented in this research may enable the application of utilizing nonlinear metamaterial in microfluidic LOC sensors with orders of magnitude improvement in sensitivity. © 2022 MicroTAS 2022 - 26th International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life sciences. By carrying out the present situation analysis and risk prediction of high mineral groundwater pollution in water source protection areas, it can effectively prevent and control the deterioration of groundwater environment and protect the safety of groundwater resources in water source protection areas. It has certain guiding significance for the development and utilization of local water resources. In this paper, a fast detection model of water pollution based on back propagation neural network is proposed. Combined with the hydrogeological conditions of a water source protection area, a three-dimensional flow system for fast detection of water pollution is established, and the dynamic parameters of fast detection of water pollution are analyzed according to the groundwater flow model. The rationality of the fast detection model and parameter selection are verified by comparing the actual observation values with simulation calculations. In this paper, the back propagation neural network identification method is used to realize the classification and identification of water pollution rapid detection. under certain prediction conditions, Visual Modflow software is used to predict the migration of high-mineral groundwater pollutants in groundwater source protection area within 20 years, which provides relevant basis for the formulation of prevention and control measures of high-mineral groundwater pollution in this water source protection area. Combined with the characteristics of water source protection areas, ammonia nitrogen and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were selected as simulation factors to realize rapid detection of water pollution. The test results show that the accuracy of rapid detection of water pollution by this method is high, and the ability of prediction and quantitative detection of water pollution is improved. © 2021 IEEE.

Traditional visual-inertial SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) systems predominantly rely on feature point matching from a single robot to realize the robot pose estimation and environment map construction. However, in complex scenarios, these traditional systems struggle with issues such as tracking failures due to illumination changes, rapid movements, and low-texture environments, and they perform poorly in terms of mapping efficiency and global consistency. To address these challenges, we propose a centralized collaborative SLAM system that employs both point and line features for tracking in the robot and map fusion in the cloud. The proposed system leverages the fusion of point and line features across all instances in the process, which allows our method to achieve higher localization accuracy in structured, low-texture scenes. With the aid of classifying gravity-aligned vertical lines and spatial parallel lines, the proposed system can deliver faster and more accurate odometry in complex scenes. Furthermore, we developed intra-robot and inter-robot loop closure detection methods based on point and line features, generating a globally consistent sparse point cloud and structured scene map in the cloud. Our method is able to build richer maps while improving accuracy compared to existing methods. Experimental results on public datasets and in real-world environments show that, compared to existing advanced methods, our approach demonstrates better performance. © 2014 IEEE.

This study examines the global Mittag-Leffler synchronization (GMLS) problem for fractional-order Clifford-valued neural networks (FOCLVNNs) including transmission delays and impulses. Firstly, a novel kind of FOCLVNNs is developed that incorporates impulses and transmission delays, which can be useful for better understanding of Clifford-valued neural networks (CLVNNs) dynamics more precisely. Then, because of the non-commutative multiplication feature of the Clifford algebra, the systems of FOCLVNNs can be decomposed into multi-dimensions real-valued neural networks (RVNNs), that avoid the difficulties associated with Clifford number multiplication. By using Lyapunov functions and inequality techniques, several novel solid conditions for the GMLS of FOCLVNNs under the state feedback controller that has been formulated. In addition, this paper presents novel results that are easy to solve and new insights into GMLS of FOCLVNNs. Then, a numerical verification is given along with graphical analysis to validate the applicability of the obtained theories. Based on the considered master–slave FOCLVNNs, an image encryption algorithm for color images is provided. In addition, simulation and performance analysis are stated to prove the validity of the given algorithms. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

A gadget called an OXIMETER is used to measure blood oxygen levels. The oximeter does not produce correct results in people with scleroderma, those who have decreased tissue perfusion, such as is the case in anemia instances, and people who have digital ulcers. Scleroderma is an autoimmune illness in which the body attacks its own cells because it believes they are foreign invaders, making the skin rough and making it difficult to accurately measure blood oxygen levels. OXILASER is a gadget that combines an oximeter and a laser. The laser aids in penetrating through rough skin to easily and accurately measure blood oxygen levels.

In complex missions such as search and rescue, robots must make intelligent decisions in unknown environments, relying on their ability to perceive and understand their surroundings. High-quality and real-time reconstruction enhances situational awareness and is crucial for intelligent robotics. Traditional methods often struggle with poor scene representation or are too slow for real-time use. Inspired by the efficacy of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), we propose a hierarchical planning framework for fast and high-fidelity active reconstruction. Our method evaluates completion and quality gain to adaptively guide reconstruction, integrating global and local planning for efficiency. Experiments in simulated and real-world environments show our approach outperforms existing real-time methods. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this study, 74 college student volunteers were recruited as experimental participants, and 108 game 3D images of the Arena of Valor game were used as the selected samples. The digital avatar is presented to the subject through AR technology. Then, the participants were asked to choose five digital avatar that they would probably go on to use in the future metaverse. Finally, after excluding the effects of game familiarity and other socio-statistical variables, it was found that the gender of the selected Digital avatar was positively correlated with the actual participants’ gender, and it was further found that females were more gender specific and more aggregated in terms of Gender Expression than males, while males were less gender specific and more dispersed. This study found that although there was certain influence of historical culture on the selection aspect of the digital avatar, it was not significant.
