Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are non-coding RNA molecules that play a significant role in cell regulation and disease occurrence. In recent years, the use of computational methods to predict circRNAs associated with diseases has become a research focus. However, these methods are often constrained by the noise interference and an insufficient exploration of the underlying information in known associations. Therefore, this paper proposes an information enhancement and arctangent rank approximation based method to predict potential circRNA-disease associations (IEARACDA). Firstly, information enhancement methods are used to make circRNA and disease similarity information more complete and to reduce the sparsity of known association. Subsequently, the arctangent rank approximation method is employed to mitigate the potential bias issues that may arise from the nuclear norm, and optimization is carried out using the inexact augmented Lagrange multiplier (IALM) method. Finally, potential associations are predicted through heterogeneous graph inference method. The experimental results demonstrate that IEARACDA exhibits superior performance compared to existing methods. Furthermore, case studies for hepatocellular carcinoma and lung cancer provide additional confirmation of the accuracy and practical significance of the model predictions.

The emergence of single-cell multi-omics sequencing technology has enabled the simultaneous profiling of diverse omics data within individual cells. It offers a more comprehensive perspective on cellular phenotypes and heterogeneity. However, single-cell multi-omics data are inherently high-dimensional and heterogeneous. Due to technical limitations and scarce starting materials, the data are often affected by noise and dropout effects. To address these challenges, we propose a novel multitask driven multi-level dynamical fusion algorithm for single-cell multi-omics cell type annotation, named scMMDyn. Our approach incorporates reconstruction and classification auxiliary tasks to guide the training of trustworthy modules at both the feature and modality levels. It executes dynamical fusion during these stages and finally achieves cross-modality fusion via an attention mechanism. This method effectively mitigates data quality issues through reconstruction tasks and feature-level dynamical fusion while providing interpretability at both feature and modality levels. Experimental results across diverse single-cell multi-omics datasets show that our method surpasses existing approaches in cell type annotation.

Multi-view classification optimally integrates various features from different views to improve classification tasks. Most of the existing works typically utilize semantic information to achieve view fusion but neglect the spatial information of data itself, which accommodates data representation with correlation information and is proven to be an essential aspect. Thus we present a novel contrastive independent subspace analysis framework for multi-view classification (MvCISA). The core idea is utilizing robust Independent Subspace Analysis (RISA) Network to extract the latent spatial information of multi-view data with subspace bases, which is further optimized from spatial perspective with proposed multi-view contrastive feature-subspace fusion learning (MvCF) to find a nonoverlapping data representation. Extensive experiments on several public datasets demonstrate that the subspace representation generated by our method is rational and effective for classification, and is promising for other downstream tasks. The number of axles of the vehicle and the type of tires can reflect the information of the vehicle to a certain extent, and the load capacity can be calculated according to the number of axles of the truck and the type of axles. Therefore, the identification of the axle is of great significance for judging whether the truck is overweight. At present, the method of calculating the axles is carried out by the method of Laser Radar or grating for axle counting. In the prior art, the method of axle counting is complicated to deploy and the cost is high. Some computer vision-based axle statistics methods have emerged in recent years, but complete vehicle sideways pictures are required. However, due to the long body of the truck and the limited space factor, it is difficult to obtain the complete vehicle in an original image. Although image stitching can solve this problem, the current video image stitching methods have a relatively high time cost. To solve this issue, we propose an object detection and tracking method based on YOLOv5s for axle counting and tire type identification. Experimental results show that the proposed method has extremely high accuracy and can meet real-time requirements even without GPU. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Heart rate (HR) monitoring is crucial for assessing physical fitness, cardiovascular health, and stress management. Millimeter-wave radar offers a promising non-contact solution for long-term monitoring. However, accurate HR estimation remains challenging in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions. To deal with both respiration harmonics and intermodulation interference, this paper proposes a cancellation-before-estimation strategy. Firstly, we present the adaptive extensive cancellation algorithm (ECA) to suppress respiratory and its low-order harmonics. Then, we propose an adaptive harmonic enhanced trace (AHET) method to avoid intermodulation interference by refining the HR search region. Various experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods, demonstrating improvements in accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency compared to conventional approaches based on the FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) system. © 2025, CC BY-NC-ND.

Photothermal catalysis exhibits promising prospects to overcome the shortcomings of high-energy consumption of traditional thermal catalysis and the low efficiency of photocatalysis. However, there is still a challenge to develop catalysts with outstanding light absorption capability and photothermal conversion efficiency for the degradation of atmospheric pollutants. Herein, we introduced the Co3O4 layer and Pt nanoclusters into the three-dimensional (3D) porous membrane through the atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique, leading to a Pt/Co3O4/AAO monolithic catalyst. The 3D ordered nanochannel structure can significantly enhance the solar absorption capacity through the light-trapping effect. Therefore, the embedded Pt/Co3O4 catalyst can be rapidly heated and the O2 adsorbed on the Pt clusters can be activated to generate sufficient O2- species, exhibiting outstanding activity for the diverse VOCs (toluene, acetone, and formaldehyde) degradation. Optical characterization and simulation calculation confirmed that Pt/Co3O4/AAO exhibited state-of-the-art light absorption and a notable localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. In situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectrometry (in situ DRIFTS) studies demonstrated that light irradiation can accelerate the conversion of intermediates during toluene and acetone oxidation, thereby inhibiting byproduct accumulation. Our finding extends the application of AAO’s optical properties in photothermal catalytic degradation of air pollutants. © 2024 American Chemical Society.

The smelting process of the fused magnesium furnace(FMF) is prone to semi-molten abnormal conditions, which may lead to low product quality and production efficiency, and is also prone to safety accidents. At present, the operating conditions of FMF mainly rely on manual observation of the furnace shell features for diagnosis, and it is hard to timely and effectively identify abnormalities in the smelting process. Given the difficulty in identifying abnormal operating conditions of FMF, this paper proposes a deep multiview fuzzy classification method(DMFC) that can automatically identify abnormal operating conditions. First, based on the three-phase current data, CNN and Transformer are used to extract features as multiple views. Secondly, the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang(TSK) fuzzy model is used as a single-view model, and the evidence theory is used for dynamic fusion of multiple views. This method can effectively fuse multiple deep features, and has strong scalability and a certain degree of interpretability. Through verification of the real historical data of multiple FMFs, our model has relatively high accuracy, false detection rate(FDR), and missed detection rate(MDR). © 2024 IEEE.

controller Area Network (CAN) protocol is an efficient standard enabling communication among Electronic control Units (ECUs). However, the CAN bus is vulnerable to malicious attacks because of a lack of defense features. In this article, a novel vehicle Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is developed. The challenge is that existing techniques of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) rarely consider attacks with small-batch, which are characterized by their small attack scale and concealed attack patterns, posing a significant threat to driving safety. To solve this problem, we developed an algorithm model that merges Multi-dimensional Long Short-Term Memory (MD-LSTM) and Self-Attention Mechanism (SAM), shortly named MULSAM. The MULSAM model was compared with other baseline models, including Stacked LSTM, MD-LSTM, etc. Experiments show that our approach has the best detection accuracy (98.98%) and training stability. Further, to speed up the inference of MULSAM on edge, the hardware accelerator is implemented on FPGA devices using technologies such as parallelization, modular, pipeline, and fixed-point quantization. Experiments show that our FPGA-based acceleration scheme has a better energy efficiency than the CPU platform. Even with a certain degree of quantification, the acceleration model for MULSAM still displays a high detection accuracy of 98.81% and a low latency of 1.88 ms. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Cluster assignment is crucial for analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data, essential for studying cell diversity and biological functions at the single-cell level. Deep learning-based clustering methods have been extensively applied in scRNA-seq data analysis. However, current deep models frequently overlook the deep exploration of potential gene correlation, resulting in networks lacking guidance from gene correlation information when learning hidden layer features. This paper proposes an adaptive feedback fuzzy clustering method based on deep gene correlation mining(scDCMAC). The deep gene correlation mining network employs contrast learning to compute the contrast loss on two cell similarity matrices, constructed from denoised autoencoder hidden layer features and original input features, to uncover potential gene correlation. The adaptive feedback clustering network further denoises the hidden layer features using a self-attention mechanism, computes the affiliation matrix, and supervises the denoising autoencoder’s dimensionality reduction using the affiliation matrix. Experiments on 13 real scRNA-seq datasets demonstrate that scDCMAC excels in clustering accuracy and stability, showing great potential in scRNA-seq sample analysis.
