FPGA is a hardware architecture based on a matrix of programmable and configurable logic circuits thanks to which a large number of functionalities inside the device can be modified using a hardware description language. These functionalities must often be secured especially when the context is sensitive (military, banking, medical, legal, etc.). In this paper, we put forward an efficient implementation of SIMON's block cipher algorithm using Xilinx Vivado 2018.2. The proposed design is analyzed through simulation on Xilinx Artix-7. A prototype of our design is implemented using the xc7a35tcsg324-1 FPGA chip. Performance and results are discussed. © 2022 IEEE.

As an important component of the sixth generation communication technologies, the space-air-ground integrated network (SAGIN) attracts increasing attentions in recent years. However, due to the mobility and heterogeneity of the components such as satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles in multilayer SAGIN, the challenges of inefficient resource allocation and management complexity are aggregated. To this end, the network function virtualization technology is introduced and can be implemented via service function chains (SFCs) deployment. However, urgent unexpected tasks may bring conflicts and resource competition during SFC deployment, and how to schedule the SFCs of multiple tasks in SAGIN is a key issue. In this paper, we address the dynamic and complexity of SAGIN by presenting a reconfigurable time extension graph and further propose the dynamic SFC scheduling model. Then, we formulate the SFC scheduling problem to maximize the number of successful deployed SFCs within limited resources and time horizons. Since the problem is in the form of integer linear programming and intractable to solve, we propose the algorithm by incorporating deep reinforcement learning. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better convergence and performance compared to other benchmark algorithms. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The advent of single-cell transcriptomics has revolutionized our ability to analyze cellular heterogeneity and dynamics at a fine resolution, yet covering the vast array of potential perturbations remains challenging due to biological variability. To address this, we propose scCADE, a novel computational approach utilizing contrastive learning and an attention mechanism to decouple gene expression signatures and predict cellular responses to perturbations. scCADE excels in predicting responses in cells to perturbations observed in other cells but not yet seen in the target cells. Through rigorous ablation studies and validation across three datasets involving drug and gene editing perturbations, scCADE consistently outperformed existing methods, underscoring its efficacy and potential to advance genomics and personalized medicine by accurately forecasting responses to novel perturbations.

Multi-view unsupervised feature selection (MUFS) has recently aroused considerable attention, which can select the compact representative feature subset from original multi-view data. Despite the promising preliminary performance, most previous MUFS methods fail to explore the discriminative ability of multi-view data. In addition, they usually utilize spectral analysis to maintain the geometrical structure, which will inevitably increase the difficulty of parameter selection. To address these issues, we present a novel MUFS method, named structural regularization based discriminative multi-view unsupervised feature selection (SDFS). Specifically, we calculate the similarity matrix of sample space from different views and automatically weight each view-specific graph to learn a consensus similarity graph, in which these two types of graphs can promote each other. Further, we treat the learned latent representation as the cluster indicator, and employ a graph regularization without introducing additional parameters to maintain the geometrical structure of data. Besides, a simple yet efficient iterative updating algorithm with theoretical convergence property is developed. Extensive experiments on several benchmark datasets verify that the designed model is superior to several state-of-the-art MUFS models. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This study designs and simulates weather parameters using MEMS technology with suitable characteristics for integration into a single chip for environment monitoring. The sensing and heating filament of the temperature sensor was designed using a thin film platinum resistor, examining its ability to experience stability, increase in resistivity, accuracy, and free-contamination. The temperature sensing and heating element are based on platinum RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) with meander shape and aluminum as the bonding pad connecting the sensor to the external circuit. A capacitive humidity sensor is implemented in consolidation with a piezoresistive pressure sensor with a square membrane. The capacitive humidity sensor with hole pattern at the upper plate and a polyimide serves as water absorbent sandwiched between the electrodes. The simulation analysis was conducted using finite element analysis in COMSOL Multiphysics version 6.0 . It was observed that the temperature increases from -100oC to - 20oC, and 10oC to 50oC respectively as a result of deviation in relative humidity in the troposphere, and atmosphere. The average changes in capacitances were found at 0.0713/%RH, while the pressure was examined to vary from 1050hPa to 5hPa in a step of 200hPa with a sensitivity of 11.50mv/bar.

This paper proposes OnSort, a parallel comparison-free sorting architecture with O(n) time complexity, utilizing the SRAM structure to support large-scale datasets efficiently. The performance of existing comparison-free sorters is limited by uneven value distribution and variable element numbers. To address these issues, we introduce a parallel prefetching strategy to accelerate the indexing process and a sparse-aware mechanism to narrow the indexing search range. Furthermore, OnSort implements streaming execution through a pipelined design, thereby optimizing the previously overlooked latency of the counting phase. Experimental results show that, under the configuration of sorting 65,536 16-bit data elements, OnSort achieves a 1.97× speedup and a 22.6× throughput-to-area ratio compared to the existing design. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Publishing Social Graphs with Differential Privacy Guarantees Based on wPINQ

To publish social graphs with differential privacy guarantees for reproducing valuable results of scientific researches, we study a workflow for graph synthesis and propose an improved approach based on weighted Privacy integrated query(wPINQ). The workflow starts with a seed graph to fit the noisy degree sequence, which essentially is the 1K-graph. In view of the inaccurate assortativity coefficient, we truncate the workflow to replace the seed graph with an optimal one by doing target 1K-rewiring while preserving the 1K-distribution. Subsequently, Markov chain Monte Carlo employs the new seed graph as the initial state, and proceeds step by step guided by the information of Triangles by intersect to increase the number of triangles in the synthetic graphs. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves better performance for the published social graphs.

Online social networks have emerged as a significant data source, but the extensive collection and utilization of personal information have given rise to profound concerns regarding privacy. From a legislative and policy perspective, and in alignment with the concept of privacy as control, users have the right to control their personal privacy information. However, users often encounter challenges in terms of understanding and effectively managing their privacy settings to align with their specific privacy requirements. To address this issue, in this paper, we incorporate the concept of trust and propose a trust-based personalized differential privacy model for online social networks, denoted as TPDP, which relies on a trusted central server to facilitate its operation. Specifically, when a user requests access to another user's personal information, the TPDP mechanism provides a privacy response, where the privacy level is determined based on the direct and indirect trust values among users, calculated automatically by the trusted central server. Furthermore, the proposed TPDP model offers user-to-user personalized differential privacy protection from the perspectives of network structures, trust-related factors, and trust propagation patterns. Finally, we validate the model's feasibility and assess the privacy-utility trade-off, as well as its robustness against attacks, through theoretical analysis and performance evaluation. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

In order to enpower the hight performance as well as interpretability of low-order TSK fuzzy classifier, a born-again TSK fuzzy classier embedded with decoupled fuzzy dark knowledge distillation called HTSK-LLM-DKD is proposed in this study. HTSK-LLM DKD achieves the following distinctive characteristics: 1) It takes high-order TSK as teacher model and low-order TSK fuzzy classifier as student model, and leverages the proposed Least Learning Machine based Decoupling Knowledge Distillation to distill the fuzzy dark knowledge from high-order TSK fuzzy classifier to low-order TSK fuzzy classifier, which resulting in low-order TSK fuzzy classifier endowed with enhanced performance surpassing or at least comparable to high-order TSK fuzzy classifier;specifically 2) The Negative Euclidean distance between the output of teacher model and each class is employed to obtain the teacher logits, and then it computes teacher/student soft labels by the softmax function with distilling temperature parameter;3) By reformulating the Kullback Leibler divergence, it decouples fuzzy dark knowledge into target class knowledge and non-target class knowledge, and transfers them to student model, which taking HTSK-LLM-DKD with outstanding performance and relatively fast running speed. Extensive experiment results on UCI benchmarking datasets and real-world dataset Cleveland Heart Disease demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed HTSK-LLM-DKD. © 2024, The Authors.
