Due to economic costs and hardware limitations of full SDN deployment, partially deploying Software-defined networking (SDN) switches in traditional networks has become the most popular network architecture nowadays. Traffic engineering (TE) promotes the improvement of hybrid SDN performance by optimizing route selection and balancing network flows. Previous TE methods in hybrid SDN focus on centrally searching for the best link weight settings and leveraging heuristic algorithms to calculate the optimal splitting ratio of traffic through SDN switches. Due to the fluctuation of network traffic, previous algorithms fail to learn a routing policy that can adapt to the fast-changing network flows and network performance degrades as a result. Therefore, in this paper, to better learn the traffic features and improve the routing performance, we innovatively propose a TE approach combining contrastive learning and reinforcement learning to optimize routing of network traffic in hybrid SDN. Each agent trains an encoder that well represents the traffic features through contrastive learning and the traffic features are fed into the training of the actor neural network for learning the map between the traffic and routing policy through reinforcement learning. After offline training, the agent deployed on the SDN switch can quickly infer an effective traffic splitting policy that determines the splitting ratio of traffic on the SDN switch. Extensive experiments on three different network topologies show that our proposed algorithm provides significant improvements over state-of-arts. © 2023 IEEE.

Mobile edge computing (MEC) provides high-quality network service to mobile users. In a MEC network, the placement of edge servers not only affects the service experience of users, but also has a great influence on the energy consumption of the MEC system. In this paper, we study the edge server placement problem in dynamic MEC scenarios, to minimize the energy consumption of the MEC system in real time, so as to achieve the goal of energy saving at every time. We propose a reinforcement learning (RL) based approach called ESDR. Moreover, in order to make RL suitable for our proposed problem and enable the agent to explore better in MEC scenarios, we introduce Double Q-learning and delaying policy updates to improve the original RL framework. Furthermore, experiments are conducted using a real-world dataset. The results show that ESDR is outstanding in terms of energy saving with fewer edge servers than other approaches in dynamic MEC scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a neuroimaging approach that lets in for the visualization and quantification of the structural integrity of white depend fibers in the brain. In latest years, DTI has come to be an essential tool for investigating the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of autism spectrum sickness (ASD), a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized via problems in social communication and repetitive behaviors. Through the usage of DTI, researchers have identified good sized styles of structural abnormalities in the brains of individuals with ASD. these abnormalities encompass changes in the microstructure of white remember fibers, along with decreased fiber density, changes in fiber directionality, and decreased connectivity between mind areas. Additionally, there may be evidence of bizarre mind development in early formative years, with a few research finding that these structural variations are present even in very younger children with ASD. One constant finding in DTI studies of ASD is reduced white rely integrity inside the corpus callosum, a large fiber package deal that connects the two hemispheres of the mind. This abnormality has been connected to deficits in social communiqué and language in people with ASD, as well as difficulties in integrating records from distinctive brain areas. Color pencil drawing is well-loved due to its rich *** paper proposes an approach for generating feature-preserving color pencil drawings from *** mimic the tonal style of color pencil drawings,which are much lighter and have relatively lower saturation than photographs,we devise a lightness enhancement mapping and a saturation reduction *** lightness mapping is a monotonically decreasing derivative function,which not only increases lightness but also preserves input photograph *** saturation is usually related to lightness,so we suppress the saturation dependent on lightness to yield a harmonious ***,two extremum operators are provided to generate a foreground-aware outline map in which the colors of the generated contours and the foreground object are *** experiments show that color pencil drawings generated by our method surpass existing methods in tone capture and feature preservation.

India being an agricultural country, food quality tracking is a major challenge faced by common farmers across the country. This research presents an innovative integration of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to address key challenges in agriculture - fruit quality tracking and plant disease detection. The unified system comprises the Fruit Quality Tracker and the Plant Disease Detector, leveraging advanced image analysis for precision agriculture. The Fruit Quality Tracker uses computer vision to assess ripeness and defects in real-time, empowering farmers with informed decisions. Simultaneously, the Plant Disease Detector swiftly identifies and classifies diseases, mitigating economic losses. The research explores architectural nuances, development methodologies, and deployment on Google Cloud Platform. Testing shows high accuracy rates of 98.5% for fruit quality and 98.83% for plant disease detection. The system's transformative potential in agriculture is highlighted, bridging the gap between technology and sustainable food production systems. © 2024 IEEE.

A Hybrid Music Recommendation Model Based on Personalized Measurement and Game Theory

Music recommendation algorithms, from the perspective of real-time, can be classified into two categories: offline recommendation algorithms and online recommendation algorithms. To improve music recommendation accuracy, especially for the new music(users have no historic listening records on it), and real-time recommendation ability, and solve the interest drift problem simultaneously, we propose a hybrid music recommendation model based on personalized measurement and game theory. This model can be separated into two parts: an offline recommendation part(OFFLRP) and an online recommendation part(ONLRP). In the offline part, we emphasize users personalization. We introduce two metrics named user pursue-novelty degree(UPND) and music popularity(MP) to improve the traditional items-based collaborative filtering algorithm. In the online part, we try to solve the interest drift problem, which is a thorny problem in the offline part. We propose a novel online recommendation algorithm based on game theory. Experiments verify that the hybrid music recommendation model has higher new music recommendation accuracy, decent dynamical personalized recommendation ability, and real-time recommendation capability, and can substantially mitigate the problem of interest drift.

Massive reinforcement learning (RL) data are typically collected to train policies offline without the need for interactions, but the large data volume can cause training inefficiencies. To tackle this issue, we formulate offline behavior distillation (OBD), which synthesizes limited expert behavioral data from sub-optimal RL data, enabling rapid policy learning. We propose two naive OBD objectives, DBC and PBC, which measure distillation performance via the decision difference between policies trained on distilled data and either offline data or a near-expert policy. Due to intractable bi-level optimization, the OBD objective is difficult to minimize to small values, which deteriorates PBC by its distillation performance guarantee with quadratic discount complexity O(1/(1 − γ)2). We theoretically establish the equivalence between the policy performance and action-value weighted decision difference, and introduce action-value weighted PBC (Av-PBC) as a more effective OBD objective. By optimizing the weighted decision difference, Av-PBC achieves a superior distillation guarantee with linear discount complexity O(1/(1 − γ)). Extensive experiments on multiple D4RL datasets reveal that Av-PBC offers significant improvements in OBD performance, fast distillation convergence speed, and robust cross-architecture/optimizer generalization. In this paper, a multi-media cleaning system based on the optimisation of the tip electrode structure is developed, which significantly improves the electrochemical reaction efficiency and realises the efficient purification of air, water and industrial waste gas by adopting the carbon nanotube material and the design of awn-shaped tip electrode. The experimental results show that the system has low energy consumption, long service life and excellent purification performance, and is suitable for a variety of environmental treatment scenarios with broad application prospects. © 2024 IEEE.

Neural architecture search (NAS) has received increasing attention because of its exceptional merits in automating the design of deep neural network (DNN) architectures. However, the performance evaluation process, as a key part of NAS, often requires training a large number of DNNs. This inevitably makes NAS computationally expensive. In past years, many efficient evaluation methods (EEMs) have been proposed to address this critical issue. In this article, we comprehensively survey these EEMs published up to date, and provide a detailed analysis to motivate the further development of this research direction. Specifically, we divide the existing EEMs into four categories based on the number of DNNs trained for constructing these EEMs. The categorization can reflect the degree of efficiency in principle, which can in turn help quickly grasp the methodological features. In surveying each category, we further discuss the design principles and analyze the strengths and weaknesses to clarify the landscape of existing EEMs, thus making easily understanding the research trends of EEMs. Furthermore, we also discuss the current challenges and issues to identify future research directions in this emerging topic. In summary, this survey provides a convenient overview of EEM for interested users, and they can easily select the proper EEM method for the tasks at hand. In addition, the researchers in the NAS field could continue exploring the future directions suggested in the article. © 2020 IEEE.
