Due to their low power consumption and limited computing power,Internet of Things(IoT)devices are difficult to ***,the rapid growth of IoT devices in homes increases the risk of *** detection systems(IDS)are commonly employed to prevent *** systems detect incoming attacks and instantly notify users to allow for the implementation of appropriate *** have been made in the past to detect new attacks using machine learning and deep learning techniques,however,these efforts have been *** this paper,we propose two deep learning models to automatically detect various types of intrusion attacks in IoT ***,we experimentally evaluate the use of two Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)to detect nine distinct types of attacks listed in the NF-UNSW-NB15-v2 *** accomplish this goal,the network stream data were initially converted to twodimensional images,which were then used to train the neural network *** also propose two baseline models to demonstrate the performance of the proposed ***,both models achieve high accuracy in detecting the majority of these nine attacks.

An intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-enabled wireless power transfer (WPT) and data collection scheme for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted Internet of Things (IoT) network is investigated in this paper. Specifically, IoT devices (IoTDs) first harvest energy from the UAV and then upload the sensed data by applying time-division multiple access (TDMA), where an IRS is deployed to improve the transmission quality. We aim to minimize the age of information (AoI) and energy consumption of the UAV. For achieving this, we formulate an optimization problem by jointly optimizing the UAV trajectory, IRS phase shits, charging time allocation, and binary IoTD scheduling, which is a mixed-integer non-convex optimization problem. To address the issue, we first formulate our problem into a Markov decision process (MDP) and then propose an alternating optimization-double parameterized deep Q-network (AO-DPDQN) approach to solve the optimization problem. Specifically, an AO-based method is adopted to optimize the phase shifts of IRS to simplify the action space of MDP, and then double parameterized deep Q-network (DPDQN) is employed to optimize UAV trajectory, charging time allocation, and IoTD scheduling. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach compared to various baselines. © 2024 IEEE.

As a fundamental problem in graph data mining, Densest Subgraph Discovery (DSD) aims to find the subgraph with the highest density from a graph. It has been studied for several decades and found a large number of real-world applications, such as network community detection, regulatory motif discovery in DNA, graph index construction, and fake follower detection. Although there are many existing DSD algorithms, they are often not scalable or efficient to process large-scale graphs, since most of them are serial algorithms and can only leverage the computing resource of a single CPU core. To tackle these issues, in this paper we propose efficient parallel algorithms for solving the DSD problems on both undirected and directed graphs at scale. Our main idea is to use the k-cores (a kind of dense subgraph) to approximate the densest subgraph in the undirected graphs, and then propose efficient parallel algorithms for computing the cores by optimizing the iterative process and also reducing the number of iterations. We further extend this idea for directed graphs by introducing a novel concept, named w-induced subgraph, to avoid unnecessary enumerations of x or y when searching [x,y]-cores (a kind of directed dense subgraph to approximate the densest). To verify the scalability and efficiency of the proposed algorithms, we have conducted extensive experiments on 12 large real-world graphs, and four of them are billion-scale. The experimental results show that our proposed algorithms outperform the state-of-the-art algorithms on both undirected and directed graphs, in terms of scalability and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Vehicular network technology has made substantial advancements in recent years in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) has emerged as a novel paradigm with a substantial increase in data exchange within Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). VCC integrates cloud computing, vehicular networking, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. It enables Infrastructure-to-Vehicle (I2V), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and Vehicle-to-Device (V2D) communication. VCC optimizes vehicle, cloud infrastructure, and IoT resources while addressing significant communication security and vehicle-user privacy challenges. To address these issues, we developed an RFID-based authentication protocol for VCC based on a Henon map using a hash function. In addition, we also incorporated a Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) to resist physical tampering attacks. We validate the protocol's security formally and informally. The formal security analysis is conducted through a widely used RoR model. We use the Scyther simulation tool to verify the proposed protocol's security against various attacks. Moreover, we compare the performance of our protocol with similar existing protocols across important performance parameters such as communication and computation overheads and security attributes. The proposed protocol yields substantial improvements, demonstrating a 40.74% reduction in computation overhead and a 13.03% decrease in communication overhead as compared to related protocols, delivering both enhanced performance and resource efficiency. The analysis demonstrates its capacity to support secure communication in the VCC environment and satisfy desirable security attributes. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, companies use databases for information storage and it is inevitable that there will be confidential information which can cause severe crises and public relations problems if leaked. In order to solve this problem, we designed and implemented a content confidentiality check system for database. In this paper, the first section introduces the module design of the system. The second section introduces the key technology implementation of the system, which includes how to detect sensitive words and user password strength. The third section shows the running interface and detection results of the system. In short, this system helps users to realize a more convenient self inspection of the confidential content stored in their database, aiming to provide a strong guarantee for data storage security. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Music genre classification is essential for organizing music libraries and enhancing recommendation systems. This paper evaluates four lightweight models combining Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) and Chromagram features with Bidirectional LSTM and Multi-head Attention architectures. Using the GTZAN dataset, we found that models with Multi-head Attention, outperformed with MFCCs features, achieving a test accuracy of 85.6%. MFCCs excel in capturing timbral characteristics critical for genre classification, while Chromagram features proved less effective. Although overfitting occurred, future studies can focus on incorporating methods like data augmentation and regularization to improve performance. These lightweight models offer a balance between accuracy and computational efficiency, making them suitable for real-time applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Privacy concerns have led to the rise of federated recommender systems (FRS), which can create personalized models across distributed clients. However, FRS is vulnerable to poisoning attacks, where malicious users manipulate gradients to promote their target items intentionally. Existing attacks against FRS have limitations, as they depend on specific models and prior knowledge, restricting their real-world applicability. In our exploration of practical FRS vulnerabilities, we devise a model-agnostic and prior-knowledge-free attack, named PIECK (Popular Item Embedding based Attack). The core module of PIECK is popular item mining, which leverages embedding changes during FRS training to effectively identify the popular items. Built upon the core module, PIECK branches into two diverse solutions: The PIECKIPE solution employs an item popularity enhancement module, which aligns the embeddings of targeted items with the mined popular items to increase item exposure. The PIECKUEA further enhances the robustness of the attack by using a user embedding approximation module, which approximates private user embeddings using mined popular items. Upon identifying PIECK, we evaluate existing federated defense methods and find them ineffective against PIECK, as poisonous gradients inevitably overwhelm the cold target items. We then propose a novel defense method by introducing two regularization terms during user training, which constrain item popularity enhancement and user embedding approximation while preserving FRS performance. We evaluate PIECK and its defense across two base models, three real datasets, four top-tier attacks, and six general defense methods, affirming the efficacy of both PIECK and its defense. © 2024 IEEE.

Mongolian compound nouns often become the vehicle for the creation of new concepts and terms due to their diverse combinations and flexible expressive power. In the field of natural language shallow syntactic analysis, the recognition of Mongolian compound nouns plays an important role, and its performance will directly affect the processing effect of related research. In the current academic research, the research on automatic recognition of Mongolian compound nouns is still insufficient, especially in the automatic recognition of Mongolian compound nouns using deep learning technology, which is almost in a blank state. In this study, we firstly construct a Mongolian compound noun annotated corpus, and on the basis of the constructed annotated corpus, we propose a Mongolian compound noun automatic recognition model based on deep learning for the fact that there is no deep learning method for recognising Mongolian compound nouns at present. The model takes Conditional Random Field (CRF) as the basic framework to make full use of contextual information by considering the joint probability distribution of the whole sequence. During the model construction process, the TextCNN model is incorporated and by designing a multi-scale convolutional kernel, the model is able to effectively capture the local features of Mongolian compound nouns. The experimental results show that the automatic Mongolian compound noun recognition model based on deep learning proposed in this study performs well on the Mongolian compound noun recognition task, with an F1 value of 93.40%. © 2024 IEEE.

Cardiovascular disease holds the position of being the foremost cause of death worldwide. Heart Disease Prediction (HDP) is a difficult task as it needs advanced knowledge with better experience. Moreover, it encounters numerous significant challenges in clinical data analysis. While many researchers have focused on predicting heart disease, the performance metric, namely prediction accuracy, remains suboptimal. The accurate HDP can help the person to prevent himself from life threats and at the same time, inaccurate prediction can prove to be fatal. To solve these issues, in this review work several Deep Learning (DL), Machine Learning (ML) and optimization based HDP techniques are discussed. In recent times, many researchers have been utilizing different DL and ML algorithms to help the professionals and health care industry for the prediction of heart disease. Further, it discussed about various optimization-based algorithms and its performance analysis.
