Lesion detection in Computed Tomography(CT) images is a challenging task in the field of computer-aided *** important issue is to locate the area of lesion *** a branch of Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),3D Context-Enhanced(3DCE) frameworks are designed to detect lesions on CT *** False Positives(FPs) detected in 3DCE frameworks are usually caused by inaccurate region proposals,which slow down the inference *** solve the above problems,a new method is proposed,a dimension-decomposition region proposal network is integrated into 3DCE framework to improve the location accuracy in lesion *** the restriction of "anchors" on ratios and scales,anchors are decomposed to independent "anchor strings".Anchor segments are dynamically combined in accordance with probability,and anchor strings with different lengths dynamically compose bounding *** show that the accurate region proposals generated by our model promote the sensitivity of FPs and spend less inference time compared with the current methods.

Advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks use sophisticated attack techniques and covert command and control (C&C) channels to conduct long-term sustained cyber attacks on specific targets as unobtrusively as possible. Over the past ten years, APT attacks have become increasingly frequent, gradually taking on a highly organized, nationalized, and militarized nature. Because APT malware is highly covert, has a long latency period, and presents characteristics such as diversification, high frequency, and sophistication. In the face of existing detection methods, it is easy for attackers to bypass detection by customizing malware and adapting and configuring tools to the target network. The continuous improvement of network technologies and tools and the complex and diverse attack process make it very difficult to detect unknown APT malware. To address the problems, this paper takes APT malware as the detection object and collects 6777 malware from 20 types of APT attack actors. Through the improved Convolutional Neural network (CNN) model combined with an attention mechanism to complete automatic extraction and weighting of static malware features, which can detect and discover APT malware. Meanwhile, the recognition effect for APT malware is better than other existing methods, which realize the attribution of APT attack groups. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A new era of data access and management has begun with the use of cloud computing in the healthcare *** the efficiency and scalability that the cloud provides, the security of private patient data is still a majorconcern. Encryption, network security, and adherence to data protection laws are key to ensuring the confidentialityand integrity of healthcare data in the cloud. The computational overhead of encryption technologies could leadto delays in data access and processing rates. To address these challenges, we introduced the Enhanced ParallelMulti-Key Encryption Algorithm (EPM-KEA), aiming to bolster healthcare data security and facilitate the securestorage of critical patient records in the cloud. The data was gathered from two categories Authorization forHospital Admission (AIH) and Authorization for High Complexity *** use Z-score normalization forpreprocessing. The primary goal of implementing encryption techniques is to secure and store massive amountsof data on the cloud. It is feasible that cloud storage alternatives for protecting healthcare data will become morewidely available if security issues can be successfully fixed. As a result of our analysis using specific parametersincluding Execution time (42%), Encryption time (45%), Decryption time (40%), Security level (97%), and Energyconsumption (53%), the system demonstrated favorable performance when compared to the traditional *** suggests that by addressing these security concerns, there is the potential for broader accessibility to cloudstorage solutions for safeguarding healthcare data.

Zero-shot anomaly detection (ZSAD) identifies anomalies without needing training samples from the target dataset, essential for scenarios with privacy concerns or limited data. Vision-language models like CLIP show potential in ZSAD but have limitations: relying on manually crafted fixed textual descriptions or anomaly prompts is time-consuming and prone to semantic ambiguity, and CLIP struggles with pixel-level anomaly segmentation, focusing more on global semantics than local details. To address these limitations, We introduce KAnoCLIP, a novel ZSAD framework that leverages vision-language models. KAnoCLIP combines general knowledge from a Large Language Model (GPT-3.5) and fine-grained, image-specific knowledge from a Visual Question Answering system (Llama3) via Knowledge-Driven Prompt Learning (KnPL). KnPL uses a knowledge-driven (KD) loss function to create learnable anomaly prompts, removing the need for fixed text prompts and enhancing generalization. KAnoCLIP includes the CLIP visual encoder with V-V attention (CLIP-VV), Bi-Directional Cross-Attention for Multi-Level Cross-Modal Interaction (Bi-CMCI), and Conv-Adapter. These components preserve local visual semantics, improve local cross-modal fusion, and align global visual features with textual information, enhancing pixel-level anomaly detection. KAnoCLIP achieves state-of-the-art performance in ZSAD across 12 industrial and medical datasets, demonstrating superior generalization compared to existing methods. © 2025 IEEE.

Rapid growth of digital educational content necessitates efficient and accurate methods for organizing and mapping resources to ensure well-alignment with targeted learning outcomes, academic standards, and competency frameworks. Traditional text classification approaches, including rule-based and classical machine learning techniques, often fail to address the semantic diversity and scalability demands of modern educational systems. This study investigates the application of neural networks for text classification to automate the mapping of educational content into predefined categories. Leveraging state-of-the-art architectures such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, and transformers like BERT, we present an architecture of a systematic Classification of educational materials. We discuss the implications of this work for adaptive learning environments, emphasizing the potential of neural networks to enhance the efficiency and scalability of content mapping. This study contributes to the growing body of research in artificial intelligence for education and sets the stage for further exploration into multilingual and domain-specific content classification methods. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.. Variational autoencoder (VAE) is known as a classic and effective method in modeling users' homogeneous behaviors in recommender systems. In recent years, graph neural networks (GNNs) have achieved promising performance in learning users' preferences by modeling complex relationships between users and items. However, most VAE- and GNN-based methods are for single-behavior recommendation, rather than the more prevalent counterpart in real-world applications, i.e., multi-behavior recommendation. This motivates us to leverage VAE and GNNs to address the more important and challenging problem of multi-behavior recommendation. Traditional multi-behavior recommendation models have not captured the complex transition relationships across different types of behaviors well. Moreover, they often ignore the varying semantic strength of different types of behaviors. To tackle the above two challenges, we propose a novel multi-behavior recommendation framework named VCGAE (short for Variational Collective Graph AutoEncoder), which inherits the advantages of VAE and GNNs to fully exploit the multi-behavior data. Specifically, we design a behavior transition network that considers different transition relationships across different types of behaviors in order to learn users' personal preferences. In addition, we introduce a behavior contrastive regularization module that extracts different correlations between users' auxiliary behaviors and target behavior. By doing so, we gain a deeper understanding of the semantic strength of different behaviors, thereby improving the overall recommendation performance. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of our VCGAE compared with the state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Gastrointestinal diseases like ulcers, polyps’, and bleeding areincreasing rapidly in the world over the last decade. On average 0.7 millioncases are reported worldwide every year. The main cause of gastrointestinaldiseases is a Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) bacterium that presents in morethan 50% of people around the globe. Many researchers have proposeddifferent methods for gastrointestinal disease using computer vision *** of them focused on the detection process and the rest of themperformed classification. The major challenges that they faced are the similarityof infected and healthy regions that misleads the correct classificationaccuracy. In this work, we proposed a technique based on Mask Recurrent-Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) and fine-tuned pre-trainedResNet-50 and ResNet-152 networks for feature extraction. Initially, the region ofinterest is detected using Mask R-CNN which is later utilized for the trainingof fine-tuned models through transfer learning. Features are extracted fromfine-tuned models that are later fused using a serial approach. Moreover, anImproved Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm has also opted for thebest feature selection from the fused feature vector. The best-selected featuresare finally classified using machine learning techniques. The experimentalprocess was conducted on the publicly available dataset and obtained animproved accuracy of 96.43%. In comparison with state-of-the-art techniques,it is observed that the proposed accuracy is improved.

To assess the quality, acceptability and user experience of interactive applications, usability is one of the most integral quality attributes. However, significant number of usability bugs are being experienced by the end users of interactive applications thus creating a gap between users and technology. To bridge this gap and to overcome those usability bugs and challenges, it is significantly important to clearly identify the those usability bugs along with the gaps and challenges causing them. This research study aims to identify the usability bugs being experienced by users of interactive applications and proposes a categorization taxonomy for the identified bugs. Moreover, to reach the cause of emergence of usability bugs, the study attempts to identify and report the usability gaps and challenges in existing usability practices. Furthermore, this study performs a mapping between the identified gaps and challenges in existing practices to that of the recommendations to address the identified gaps.
