The paper presents a novel deep neural network-based model for accurate epileptic seizure detection by addressing the challenges of temporal and spatial locality in Convolutional neural networks (CNN) and Recurrent neural networks (RNN)-based architectures. The proposed model incorporates residual networks in a CNN architecture to enhance the feature learning of seizure patterns in the deep neural architecture. The residual connections facilitate the extraction of meaningful information from the raw electroencephalogram (EEG) data without requiring recurrent connections. The utilization of residual networks improves the model's ability to capture both temporal and spatial dependencies, leading to superior performance in seizure detection tasks. The results obtained on the Bonn University dataset demonstrate the model's remarkable performance. In binary classification, the model achieves an impressive maximum accuracy of 99.9% on different testing sets, showcasing the model's effectiveness in capturing spatial and temporal patterns in EEG data. Moreover, the average accuracies obtained for binary and three-class classification are 96.37% and 96.50%, respectively, reaffirming the robustness and generalizability of the model. Additionally, the model exhibits competitive performance in four-class and five-class classifications, achieving average accuracy of 85.75% and 88.25%, respectively. These findings highlight the potential of incorporating residual networks into machine learning-based seizure detection systems and contribute to the existing knowledge in the field of seizure detection. The proposed model's ability to perform remarkably well without the need for preprocessing or feature extraction further underscores its significance in advancing the accuracy and effectiveness of epileptic seizure detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Video steganography plays an important role in secret communication that conceals a secret video in a cover video by perturbing the value of pixels in the cover *** is the first and foremost requirement of any steganographic *** by the fact that human eyes perceive pixel perturbation differently in different video areas,a novel effective and efficient Deeply‐Recursive Attention Network(DRANet)for video steganography to find suitable areas for information hiding via modelling spatio‐temporal attention is *** DRANet mainly contains two important components,a Non‐Local Self‐Attention(NLSA)block and a Non‐Local Co‐Attention(NLCA)***,the NLSA block can select the cover frame areas which are suitable for hiding by computing the correlations among inter‐and intra‐cover *** NLCA block aims to effectively produce the enhanced representations of the secret frames to enhance the robustness of the model and alleviate the influence of different areas in the secret ***,the DRANet reduces the model parameters by performing similar operations on the different frames within an input video *** results show the proposed DRANet achieves better performance with fewer parameters than the state‐of‐the‐art competitors.

Colored Petri nets (CPNs) provide descriptions of the concurrent behaviors for software and hardware. Model checking based on CPNs is an effective method to simulate and verify the concurrent behavior in system design. However, the model-checking method traverses the full state space, which suffers from the state-space explosion problem. A reduced state-space generation method related to the property of concurrent systems is proposed. Specifically, we extend CPNs to define a property-related model (CPN-PR) and give a property-related analysis method whose results can be used to generate the CPN-PR model. A reduced state-space generation method is developed based on enabled binding element filtering rules. The stutter trace equivalence between the state spaces of CPN and CPN-PR has been proven by showing that the reduced state space may not change the model-checking result. A comparison experiment is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Water resource management relies heavily on reliable water quality predictions. Predicting water quality metrics in the watershed system, including dissolved oxygen (DO), is the main emphasis of this work. The enhanced long short-term memory (LSTM) model was suggested to improve the model’s performance. Additionally, a hybrid model was employed to calculate the ideal parameter values for the LSTM model, which helped overcome the nonstationarity, unpredictability, and nonlinearity of the data about the water quality parameters. This model recruited the COOT method. The original weekly water quality values at the Vaigai River, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, were tested using the suggested hybrid model. An independent LSTM, the hybrid optimisation method takes its cues from the cuckoo bird’s reproductive strategy and a novel meta-heuristic optimisation technique dubbed COOT, which is based on the behaviour of a flock of coot birds. If implemented, the suggested hybrid model might serve as an alternate framework for water quality prediction, laying the groundwork for basin-wide efforts to manage water quality and control pollutants. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder can be quite challenging due to its nature and diverse presentation styles;hence the early detection is key for effective intervention strategies to be implemented in atimely manner. There has been a lot of talk lately aboututilizing deep learning algorithms to enhance the finding of ASD by analyzing neuroimaging data more effectively. To overcome the limitations of prevailing methods in this area of research this study introduces an innovative method known as the Multi view United Transformer Block-GraphSage or MVUT-GraphSage, for short. MVUT-GraphSage makes use of the advantages provided by view learning and aggregation processes to uncover delicate shapes hidden within the MRI data which is structural and functional. After conducting an examination using the ABIDE dataset it was found that MVUT-GraphSage performs better than the current Multi View Site with the Graph Convolution Network (MVS-GCN) resulting in a +2.57% increase in accuracy rate which showcases the efficiency of the proposed model when it comes to recognizing ASD cases accurately It is believed that this better accuracy and consistency in identifying ASD through MVUT-GraphSage could lead to earlier intervention and better support for individuals, with ASD Moreover MVUT-GraphSage ability to be understood makes it easier for deep learning models to connect with clinical insights by assisting in identifying biomarkers linked to ASD. In the end. All things considered was ultimately successful in enhancing our knowledge about ASD and how to practically handle it which could lead to enhancing the results and eminence of life, for persons impacted by it. © 2024 IEEE.

The increasing reliance on online reservation systems across various industries, including hospitality, airlines, and e-commerce, has heightened concerns over last-minute cancellations, may lead to monetary losses and ineffective operations. This study examines the application of machine learning techniques, particularly the Random Forest classifier (a bagging ensemble method), to predict reservation cancellations. In order to enable businesses to put proactive measures in place to reduce these risks, the research attempts to identify important variables that affect cancellations, such as customer demographics, booking lead times, and cancellation policies. The model was trained using 80% of the datasets, with the remaining 20% being utilized for testing. The model was assessed using key performance metrics such F1-Score, precision, recall, and accuracy. The model obtained a 0.37 F1-Score, recall of 0.38, precision of 0.37, and accuracy of 42%, indicating reasonable performance. The model's ROC-AUC score of 0.42 indicates that it has to be improved in order to better differentiate between canceled and non-canceled reservations. Overall, the findings show that Random Forest and other machine learning techniques, can be useful for predicting reservation cancellations, though further improvements are needed. Future research could concentrate on improving the model through hyper parameter tuning, feature engineering, and exploring more advanced methods to enhance predictive performance across different industries. © 2024 IEEE.
