The precipitation behavior of magnesium-rare earth(Mg-RE)alloys plays a crucial role for their ***,the precipitation happens at small-length and long-time scales,making it challenging to be analyzed by state-of-the-art experimental ***,we combine the advantages of both molecular dynamic forcefields on describing atom interactions and Monte Carlo method on describing diffusive events to develop an embedded atom method(EAM)potential based kinetic Monte Carlo(KMC)*** the proposed model,we simulated the formation and evolution of Y clusters in Mg-Y alloy formed by the vacancy mechanism,and rationalize the simulation results using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy *** conducted a systematic analysis of the atomic structure,the evolution kinetics and path of the Y cluster by tracing Y atoms and comparing with density function theory(DFT)*** work reveals that,all solute columns in a same cluster trend to grow along the[0001]Mg direction *** method presented is not only used for the Mg-Y alloy but also other Mg-RE alloys such as Mg-Gd as illustrated in the last part of the paper.

Transition metal carbide/nitride cores within MXenes make them considerably useful for ultra-high-temperature ***,extensive research on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene has revealed its tendency to undergo a phase transition to TiCy at temperatures above 800℃due to high activity of a superficial Ti atomic ***,spark plasma sintering of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and TiC is performed to prevent the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) phase transition at temperatures up to 1900℃through the fabrication of composites at a pressure of 50 *** a focused ion beam scanning electron microscope to separate layered substances in the composites and examining selected area diffraction spots in a transmission electron microscope enabled identification of non-phase-transitioned ***-principles calculations based on density functional theory indicated the formation of strong chemical bonding interfaces between Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and TiC,which imposed a stability constraint on the Ti atomic layer at the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) *** performance tests,such as three-point bending and fracture toughness analysis,demonstrated that the addition of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) can effectively improve the cross-scale strengthening and toughening of the TiC matrix,providing a new path for designing and developing two-dimensional(2D)carbides cross-scale-enhanced three-dimensional(3D)carbides with the same elements relying on a wide variety of MXenes.

The mechanics-corrosion and strength-ductility tradeoffs of magnesium(Mg)alloys have limited their applications in fields such as orthopedic ***,a fine-grain structure consisting of weak anodic nano-lamellar solute-enriched stacking faults(SESFs)with the average thickness of 8 nm and spacing of 16 nm is constructed in an as-extruded Mg96.9Y1.2Ho1.2Zn0.6Zr0.1(at.%)alloy,obtaining a high yield strength(YS)of 370 MPa,an excellent elongation(EL)of 17%,and a low corrosion rate of 0.30 mm y−1(close to that of high-pure Mg)in a uniform corrosion *** scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy(SKPFM),one-dimensional nanostructured SESFs are identified as the weak anode(∼24 mV)for the first *** excellent corrosion resistance is mainly related to the weak anodic nature of SESFs and their nano-lamellar structure,leading to the more uniform potential distribution to weaken galvanic corrosion and the release of abundant Y^(3+)/Ho^(3+)from SESFs to form a more protective film with an outer Ca_(10)(PO_(4))_(6)(OH)_(2)/Y_(2)O_(3)/Ho_(2)O_(3) layer(thickness percentage of this layer:72.45%).For comparison,the as-cast alloy containing block 18R long period stacking ordered(LPSO)phase and the heat-treated alloy with fine lamellar 18R-LPSO phase(thickness:80 nm,spacing:120 nm)are also studied,and the characteristics of SESFs and 18R-LPSO phase,such as the weak anode nature of the former and the cathode nature of the latter(37-90 mV),are distinguished under the same alloy ***,we put forward the idea of designing Mg alloys with high mechanical and anti-corrosion properties by constructing"homogeneous potential strengthening microstructure",such as the weak anode nano-lamellar SESFs structure.

In recent years, the traffic congestion problem has become more and more serious, and the research on traffic system control has become a new hot spot. Studying the bifurcation characteristics of traffic flow systems and designing control schemes for unstable pivots can alleviate the traffic congestion problem from a new perspective. In this work, the full-speed differential model considering the vehicle network environment is improved in order to adjust the traffic flow from the perspective of bifurcation control, the existence conditions of Hopf bifurcation and saddle-node bifurcation in the model are proved theoretically, and the stability mutation point for the stability of the transportation system is found. For the unstable bifurcation point, a nonlinear system feedback controller is designed by using Chebyshev polynomial approximation and stochastic feedback control method. The advancement, postponement, and elimination of Hopf bifurcation are achieved without changing the system equilibrium point, and the mutation behavior of the transportation system is controlled so as to alleviate the traffic congestion. The changes in the stability of complex traffic systems are explained through the bifurcation analysis, which can better capture the characteristics of the traffic flow. By adjusting the control parameters in the feedback controllers, the influence of the boundary conditions on the stability of the traffic system is adequately described, and the effects of the unstable focuses and saddle points on the system are suppressed to slow down the traffic flow. In addition, the unstable bifurcation points can be eliminated and the Hopf bifurcation can be controlled to advance, delay, and disappear,so as to realize the control of the stability behavior of the traffic system, which can help to alleviate the traffic congestion and describe the actual traffic phenomena as well.

The creep damage evolution of asphalt binder plays a significant role in investigating the formation mechanism of *** rutting is the common distress at high temperatures for asphalt ***,the reliability of existing creep damage parameters is under questioned,and these parameters cannot accurately illustrate the change of intrinsic microstructure for asphalt *** this paper,a new test protocol was given access to study the evolution of viscoelastic parameters during creep *** was completed by inserting the frequency sweep during creep *** frequency sweep curve clusters were fitted by the generalized Kelvin-Voigt model for obtaining the change law of model *** on the change law and sensitivity analysis of model parameters,(E_(2)+E_(3))/2 was proposed as the creep damage *** to the curve of(E_(2)+E_(3))/2 versus loading time,two stages during the creep test could be identified:an approximate constant value in phase I and a linear decrease in phase *** differences about creep property of binders could be determined by this new proposed *** results not only ensure better understanding of the creep damage mechanism of binders,but also lay the theoretical foundation on predicting the anti-rutting performance of binders.
