Intelligent integrated sensing and communication:a survey

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is a promising technique to increase spectral efficiency and support various emerging applications by sharing the spectrum and hardware between these functionalities. However, the traditional ISAC schemes are highly dependent on the accurate mathematical model and suffer from the challenges of high complexity and poor performance in practical scenarios. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a viable technique to address these issues due to its powerful learning capabilities, satisfactory generalization capability, fast inference speed, and high adaptability for dynamic environments, facilitating a system design shift from model-driven to data-driven. Intelligent ISAC, which integrates AI into ISAC, has been a hot topic that has attracted many researchers to investigate. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of intelligent ISAC, including its motivation, typical applications, recent trends, and challenges. In particular, we first introduce the basic principle of ISAC, followed by its key techniques. Then, an overview of AI and a comparison between model-based and AI-based methods for ISAC are provided. Furthermore, the typical applications of AI in ISAC and the recent trends for AI-enabled ISAC are reviewed. Finally, the future research issues and challenges of intelligent ISAC are discussed.

Fake Face Detection Based on Fusion of Spatial Texture and High-Frequency Noise

The rapid development of the Internet has led to the widespread dissemination of manipulated facial images, significantly impacting people's daily lives. With the continuous advancement of Deepfake technology, the generated counterfeit facial images have become increasingly challenging to distinguish. There is an urgent need for a more robust and convincing detection method. Current detection methods mainly operate in the spatial domain and transform the spatial domain into other domains for analysis. With the emergence of transformers, some researchers have also combined traditional convolutional networks with transformers for detection. This paper explores the artifacts left by Deepfakes in various domains and, based on this exploration, proposes a detection method that utilizes the steganalysis rich model to extract high-frequency noise to complement spatial features. We have designed two main modules to fully leverage the interaction between these two aspects based on traditional convolutional neural networks. The first is the multi-scale mixed feature attention module, which introduces artifacts from high-frequency noise into spatial textures, thereby enhancing the model's learning of spatial texture features. The second is the multi-scale channel attention module, which reduces the impact of background noise by weighting the features. Our proposed method was experimentally evaluated on mainstream datasets, and a significant amount of experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in detecting Deepfake forged faces, outperforming the majority of existing methods.

Utilization of Two Cross Two Switch for Bitonic Sorting Circuit

Background: The synthesis of reversible logic has gained prominence as a crucial research area, particularly in the context of post-CMOS computing devices, notably quantum computing. Objective: To implement the bitonic sorting circuit, 2x2 switch, is used. The overarching objective of implementing a reversible sorting circuit is to mitigate power consumption while promising secure communication. The successful implementation of the bitonic sorting circuit utilizing the proposed 2x2 switch is validated through simulations conducted in IBM Qiskit. Methods: This study begins by employing the control swap gate to implement a 2x2 switch, aimed at enabling concurrent computing operations within multiprocessor systems to enhance throughput. Subsequently, following the successful implementation of the 2x2 switch, the study proceeds to design a bitonic sorting circuit. Results: Bitonic sort using a 2x2 switch on the IBM Quantum Experience (IBMQ) platform via the QISKit SDK in Python 3.6. Specifically, Qiskit v0.29.0 is utilized, with OpenQASM. OpenQASM serves as the quantum assembly and instruction language. Conclusion: This work presents a methodology for constructing a 2x2 switch, utilizing a reversible control swap gate as its core component. Additionally, it demonstrates the intricate development and implementation of a bitonic sorting circuit, capitalizing on this innovative switch architecture. © 2025 Bentham Science Publishers.

Background: Foreign object debris (FOD) is an unwanted substance that damages vehicular systems, most commonly the wheels of vehicles. In airport runways, these foreign objects can damage the wheels or internal systems of planes, potentially leading to flight crashes. Surveys indicate that FOD-related damage costs over $4 billion annually, affecting airlines, airport tenants, and passengers. Current FOD clearance involves high-cost radars and significant manpower, and existing radar and camera-based surveillance methods are expensive to install. Methods: This work proposes a video-based deep learning methodology to address the high cost of radar-based FOD detection. The proposed system consists of two modules for FOD detection: object classification and object localization. The classification module categorizes FOD into specific types of foreign objects. In the object localization module, these classified objects are pinpointed in video frames. Results: The proposed system was experimentally tested with a large video dataset and compared with existing methods. The results demonstrated improved accuracy and robustness, allowing the FOD clearance team to quickly detect and remove foreign objects, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of airport runway operations. © 2025 S et al.

Introduces an innovative application of 5G MIMO data in singular value decomposition (SVD) focusing on deep learning beam-selection and intelligent network analytics. This research explores the potential of leveraging 5G MIMO data to enhance network performance and efficiency through advanced ML techniques. Deep learning algorithms are employed for beam-selection, optimizing the transmission of data in 5G networks to improve throughput and reliability. Intelligent network analytics are applied to extract valuable insights from the vast amount of data generated by 5G MIMO systems, enabling proactive network management and optimization. By harnessing the capabilities of deep learning and intelligent analytics, this research aims to address key challenges in 5G network optimization and management. The integration of SVD techniques with 5G MIMO data offers a novel approach to enhancing network performance, enabling more efficient utilization of resources and improved quality of service for users. The insights gained from intelligent network analytics facilitate informed decision-making and proactive maintenance leading to greater reliability and resilience in 5G networks. This paper proposes a new method of HR management performance evaluation based on chaotic algorithm. First, to improve the evaluation performance as the research goal, design the guiding principles of evaluation. Second, under the guidance of the principle, the multi type data of HR management are collected, and the chaotic algorithm is used to extract the characteristics of the data. Finally, after constructing the index system, calculate the weight and construct the evaluation function to complete the overall management performance evaluation. The test results show that the evaluation performance of the method has been improved. On the basis of shortening the evaluation time, the evaluation accuracy has been improved to 97.68%. Coconut farming is an essential agricultural practice that contributes significantly to the global economy by providing valuable products such as coconut water, oil, and meat. However, the management of coconut plantations faces numerous challenges, including labor shortages, pest control, and the demand for precise irrigation and fertilization. This paper proposes an integrated smart farming system that leverages advanced sensor technologies and automation to address these challenges. The system employs precision irrigation and fertigation methods, facilitated by a centralized motor controller and solenoid valves, to deliver water and nutrients efficiently to the base of each coconut tree. A pH sensor monitors soil acidity or alkalinity, ensuring optimal nutrient availability and promoting sustainable farming practices by reducing chemical inputs. Additional features include a tree motion sensor and a tilt sensor for monitoring tree stability under adverse weather conditions. Soil moisture sensors, temperature, humidity, and light intensity sensors provide real-time data to enhance decision-making. Farmers can remotely monitor and control the system via a Node-RED dashboard, receiving alerts through platforms like Telegram. By integrating these technologies, the proposed system aims to optimize resource utilization, enhance crop yield, and reduce the environmental impact of coconut farming. © 2025 IEEE.

The increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, and forest fires, necessitate the development of advanced early warning systems. Current disaster prediction systems are hampered by limitations in sensor technology, which is often expensive and primarily effective for large-scale disasters. This project aims to enhance disaster prediction accuracy and timeliness by utilizing real-time data and advanced machine learning algorithms, including XGBoost, Voting classifier, and Random Forest classifier. Additionally, recognizing the long-term health impacts of poor air quality, the project extends its scope to predict the Air Quality Index (AQI). The project seeks to enable proactive risk management and effective disaster response by integrating real-time environmental data and machine learning models. We aim to improve proactive risk management and disaster response by employing real-time data. The outcomes of this project promise significant advancements in disaster preparedness, ultimately safeguarding human lives and infrastructure. © 2025 IEEE.

Medical robots are a groundbreaking advancement in healthcare, utilizing robotics and automation to improve precision, efficiency, and accessibility in medical procedures. They are utilized in various applications, including minimally invasive surgeries, rehabilitation, diagnostics, and patient care. Surgical robots, such as the da Vinci Surgical System, are notable examples because they allow physicians to do intricate procedures with greater dexterity and a lower chance of human error. Rehabilitation robots support patient mobility recovery by customizing therapy to meet individual needs and progress. Diagnostic robots utilize imaging technologies to assist in early disease detection and accurate diagnostics, often incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) for image analysis and pattern recognition. The emergence of autonomous and semi-autonomous robots in medical environments promises to alleviate the workload of healthcare professionals, streamline processes, and enhance response times in critical care scenarios. However, the integration of robotics into healthcare also poses challenges, such as ethical dilemmas, regulatory obstacles, and concerns regarding data privacy and patient safety.
