This paper investigates the observer-based sliding mode control (SMC) problem for interconnected systems under the constrained bit rate and weighted try-once-discard (WTOD) protocol. The bandwidth of the digital communication network is measured by the bit rate. With limited network bandwidth, a WTOD protocol is introduced to reduce the length of the transmitted sensor data to reduce the bit rate consumption and improve the decoded accuracy. The selected data components under the WTOD protocol are compressed and transmitted to the observer side by the designed encoding-decoding mechanism. Then, an observer-based SMC strategy is developed under a decoded output-based observer and a normal sliding surface. Some sufficient conditions are provided to ensure that the closed-loop system is exponentially ultimately bounded (EUB) while the system trajectories can be driven into a specific sliding domain. Finally, a two-area power system is exploited to validate the effectiveness of the developed control algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

ForkXplorer:an approach of fork summary generation

Pull-based development has become an important paradigm for distributed software *** this model,each developer independently works on a copied repository(i.e.,a fork)from the central *** is essential for developers to maintain awareness of the state of other forks to improve collaboration *** this paper,we propose a method to automatically generate a summary of a *** first use the random forest method to generate the label of a fork,i.e.,feature implementation or a bug *** on the information of the fork-related commits,we then use the TextRank algorithm to generate detailed activity information of the ***,we apply a set of rules to integrate all related information to construct a complete fork *** validate the effectiveness of our method,we conduct 30 groups of manual experiment and 77 groups of case studies on *** propose Fea_(avg)to evaluate the performance of Fea_(avg)the generated fork summary,considering the content accuracy,content integrity,sentence fluency,and label extraction *** results show that the average of of the fork summary generated by this method is *** than 63%of project maintainers and the contributors believe that the fork summary can improve development efficiency.

The Modular Multilevel Converter-based High Voltage Direct Current (MMC-HVDC) transmission system has become the most commonly used transmission technology in DC transmission projects. In order to save transmission and distribution costs, it often employs a half-bridge submodule combined with a DC circuit breaker for isolating DC-side short-circuit faults. The DC circuit breaker is crucial equipment for DC fault isolation. During a short-circuit fault on the DC side, the current can quickly exceed several times its rated value within milliseconds. Hybrid DC circuit breakers efficiently and safely interrupt DC power. However, traditional hybrid DC circuit breakers, which use IGBTs as forced commutation switches, incur high costs and suffer from kilowatt-level power losses. Therefore, this paper proposes a low conduction loss DC circuit breaker topology with bidirectional interruption capability. It utilizes thyristors and diode bridges as forced commutation switches and designs thyristor turn-off circuits and capacitor pre-charging strategies. The proposed topology offers advantages of high interruption efficiency, low conduction losses, and low cost. Simulation verification using the PSCAD/EMTDC platform confirms the effectiveness of the proposed topology. © 2024 IEEE.

An orthogonal dual-channel-based wireless charging system is designed to desensitize the wireless charging system to free rotation and transmit energy and data simultaneously. The radial magnetic flux and rectangular coil make the power transmission channel insensitive to rotation and have a certain degree of anti-misalignment ability and the spiral tube-shaped magnetic coupling structure also has anti offset ability when decoupled from the power channel. In addition, the channel is rotationally symmetric. A simple decoding circuit is designed to achieve data extraction. Simulation results based on finite element and PLECS software verified the decoupling and anti-misalignment performance, verifying the proposed WCS's feasibility. ©2024 IEEE.

As its numerous excellent performances., multi-layer flux-barrier hybrid-pole permanent magnet synchronous machine (MLFB-HP-PMSM) is applied in a lot of fields., for example electric vehicles., aerospace., home appliances and so on. In this paper., the comparison of structure and performances of MLFB-HP-PMSM are investigated. First of all., two structures of different PM arrangements of two layers hybrid poles are established and recommended. Then., on the premise of ensuring consistent use of permanent magnets of two structures., the electromagnetic performances of two motor structures are compared. After that., the better performing motor structures have been used for further research., involving the influence of motor structural parameters (flux-barrier angles) on electromagnetic torque. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper explores the utilization of OpenCV (Open-Source computer Vision Library) in artificial intelligence (AI) systems, elucidating its pivotal role in advancing various applications across diverse domains. Semantic segmentation of high-resolution traffic scene images is a challenging task due to complex backgrounds, diverse object shapes, similar appearances of multiple objects, and multi-scale characteristics of the same object. Many existing semantic segmentation networks only perform simple feature fusion when dealing with different object shapes and multi-scale properties of the same object, often failing to provide satisfactory results. To address these issues, we propose an end-to-end multi-scale feature fusion network called EFFNet for traffic scenes semantic segmentation. EFFNet adopts an encoder-decoder structure, where ResNet-34 is used as the backbone network for feature extraction. At each stage of feature extraction, we introduce the Feature Fusion Module for multi-scale information. The Feature Fusion Module fuses the feature maps extracted by the backbone network at different stages, enriching the spatial and semantic information of the feature maps. Through end-to-end training, the accuracy of the segmentation results is significantly improved. We evaluated EFFNet on the traffic datasets Camvid and Cityscapes using a device equipped with a GTX 1650Ti graphics card. The results show that EFFNet achieves Miou scores of 55.3% and 50% on these two datasets, respectively. This indicates that EFFNet outperforms existing methods and demonstrates excellent segmentation accuracy in traffic scenes semantic segmentation tasks. © 2023 SPIE.

GOAL: Generalized Jointly Sparse Linear Discriminant Regression for Feature Extraction

Ridge regression (RR)-based methods aim to obtain a low-dimensional subspace for feature extraction. However, the subspace's dimensionality does not exceed the number of data categories, hence compromising its capability of feature representation. Moreover, these methods with L2-norm metric and regularization cannot extract highly robust features from data with corruption. To address these problems, in this article, we propose generalized jointly sparse linear discriminant regression (GOAL), a novel regression method based on joint L2,1-norm and capped-L2-norm, which can integrate sparsity, locality, and discriminability into one model to learn a full-rank robust feature extractor. The sparsely selected discriminative features are robust enough to characterize the decision boundary between classes. Locality is related to manifold structure and Laplacian smoothing, which can enhance the robustness of the model. By using the multinorm metric and regularization regression framework, the proposed method obtains the projection with joint sparsity and guarantees that the rank of the projection matrix will not be limited by the number of classes. An iterative algorithm is proposed to compute the optimal solution. Complexity analysis and proofs of convergence are also given in the article. Experiments on well-known datasets demonstrate our model's superiority and generalization ability. © 2020 IEEE.

Overcoming Forgetting Using Adaptive Federated Learning for IIoT Devices With Non-IID Data

In real-world Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) scenarios, due to the limited storage capacity of IIoT devices, fresh data continuously received by diverse devices will overwrite the outdated data and change the local data distribution. However, state-of-the-art studies have demonstrated that Federated Learning (FL) tends to focus on training with fresh data, and the latest global model may forget the historical update directions (i.e., catastrophic forgetting). This issue can significantly degrade the global model accuracy. Existing methods primarily focus on integrating outdated data characteristics into fresh data but overlook the large parameter update gap between global and local models during global aggregation. This gap can cause the global model updates to deviate from the optimal direction. To this end, we propose a federated adaptive weighted aggregation method based on model consistency (FedAWAC). Specifically, FedAWAC measures the model consistency on devices and dynamically adjusts the aggregation weights of each local model, thereby guiding the global model toward optimal updates. Furthermore, FedAWAC integrates M historical global models most correlated to the latest global model on the cloud server to overcome catastrophic forgetting. Experiments on 4 different datasets (Non-IID settings) indicate that compared to 5 baselines, FedAWAC can improve global model accuracy by an average of 1.86%, reduce the forgetting rate by an average of 3.91%, and save average memory usage by up to 2.57GB. © 2025 IEEE.

Based on the substation outdoor box cabinet in the operation process, which is prone to condensation and overheating, this paper designs a temperature and humidity control device for outdoor box cabinet of substation based on STM32 micro-controller. The device uses STM32 as the main control unit, and uses DHT 11 temperature and humidity sensor to detect the temperature and humidity of the box cabinet, and compare the threshold value to judge the temperature and humidity in the box cabinet and control the heater and fan to effectively drive moisture and heat. © 2023 IEEE.
