Existing message passing-based and transformer-based graph neural networks (GNNs) cannot satisfy requirements for learning representative graph embeddings due to restricted receptive fields, redundant message passing, and reliance on fixed aggregations. These methods face scalability and expressivity limitations from intractable exponential growth or quadratic complexity, restricting interaction ranges and information coverage across large graphs. Motivated by the analysis of long-range graph structures, we introduce a novel Graph Neural Network called Hub-Fringe Graph Neural Network (HFGNN). Our Hub-Fringe structure, drawing inspiration from the graph indexing technique known as Hub Labeling, offers a straightforward and effective approach for learning scalable graph representations while ensuring comprehensive coverage of information. HFGNN leverages this structure to enable selective propagation of relevant embeddings through a carefully designed message function. Theoretical analysis is presented to show the expressivity and scalability of the proposed method. Empirically, HFGNN exceeds standard GNNs on tasks including classification and regression, especially for large, long-range graphs where scalability and coverage matter. Ablation studies further confirm the benefits of our hub-fringe based graph neural network, including improved expressivity and scalability. Referring 3D Segmentation is a visual-language task that segments all points of the specified object from a 3D point cloud described by a sentence of query. Previous works perform a two-stage paradigm, first conducting language-agnostic instance segmentation then matching with given text query. However, the semantic concepts from text query and visual cues are separately interacted during the training, and both instance and semantic labels for each object are required, which is time consuming and human-labor intensive. To mitigate these issues, we propose a novel Referring 3D Segmentation pipeline, Label-Efficient and Single-Stage, dubbed LESS, which is only under the supervision of efficient binary mask. Specifically, we design a Point-Word Cross-Modal Alignment module for aligning the fine-grained features of points and textual embedding. Query Mask Predictor module and Query-Sentence Alignment module are introduced for coarse-grained alignment between masks and query. Furthermore, we propose an area regularization loss, which coarsely reduces irrelevant background predictions on a large scale. Besides, a point-to-point contrastive loss is proposed concentrating on distinguishing points with subtly similar features. Through extensive experiments, we achieve state-of-the-art performance on ScanRefer dataset by surpassing the previous methods about 3.7% mIoU using only binary labels. Forecasting stock market prices is a challenging task for traders, analysts, and engineers due to the myriad of variables influencing stock prices. However, the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) has significantly advanced stock market forecasting. AI's ability to analyze complex data sets allows for more informed predictions. Despite these advancements, stock price forecasting remains an area where AI has not yet achieved optimal results. In this paper, we forecast stock prices using 30 years of historical data from various national banks in India sourced from the National Stock Exchange. We employ advanced deep learning models, including multivariate multi-step Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Facebook Prophet with LightGBM and Optuna, and Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA). Additionally, we analyze news data from tweets and reliable sources like Business Standard and Reuters, recognizing their significant impact on stock price movements. © 2024 IEEE.

Influence Maximization(IM)aims to select a seed set of size k in a social network so that information can be spread most widely under a specific information propagation model through this set of ***,most existing studies on the IM problem focus on static social network features,while neglecting the features of temporal social *** bridge this gap,we focus on node features reflected by their historical interaction behavior in temporal social networks,i.e.,interaction attributes and self-similarity,and incorporate them into the influence maximization algorithm and information propagation ***,we propose a node feature-aware voting algorithm,called ISVoteRank,for seed nodes ***,before voting,the algorithm sets the initial voting ability of nodes in a personalized manner by combining their *** the voting process,voting weights are set based on the interaction strength between nodes,allowing nodes to vote at different extents and subsequently weakening their voting ability *** process concludes by selecting the top k nodes with the highest voting scores as seeds,avoiding the inefficiency of iterative seed selection in traditional voting-based ***,we extend the Independent Cascade(IC)model and propose the Dynamic Independent Cascade(DIC)model,which aims to capture the dynamic features in the information propagation process by combining node ***,experiments demonstrate that the ISVoteRank algorithm has been improved in both effectiveness and efficiency compared to baseline methods,and the influence spread through the DIC model is improved compared to the IC model.

Imperfections in requirement specification can cause serious issues during software development life cycle. It might bring about inferior quality products due to missing attributes, for example, security. Specifically, Web Applications are considered as obvious target for getting significant information. Security aspects have gotten hard to manage in web applications because security requirements are not regularly seen appropriately and often details are missing which lead into ill-characterized security-related aspects. With the help of systemic literature review (SLR), we have identified 32 major research works which were published in period of year 2010 to 2020. We identified 38 security-related aspects of web applications and also 13 techniques and tools for security related aspects in agile requirement specification. We have also analyzed 22 challenges in reviewing security related aspects in agile development life cycle. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated learning has emerged as an efficient way to exploit distributed data in recent years. It allows multiple client nodes to collaboratively train an optimized machine learning model without revealing the participants' data. However, there are some shortcomings in the existing federated learning algorithms: the existence of poor quality nodes leads to undesirable effects on the overall gradient descent direction of the model. And the typical iterative training and noising way also make the privacy loss of the model reaches the privacy budget quickly. Hence, the model training may stop before convergence. In this paper, we propose a federated learning gradient adaptive aggregation method based on cosine similarity and a central node privacy protection method based on random differential privacy to solve the above-mentioned problems respectively. The proposed scheme was implemented on two public general datasets (MNIST and SVHN) and a medical dataset (UCI diabetes). Experimental results show that the federated learning adaptive method based on cosine similarity could effectively eliminate the negative influence of nodes with poor data quality on the overall model and maintain stable performance. The central node privacy protection method based on random differential privacy could also improve the performance of the training model under the same privacy budget and privacy loss threshold. © 2022 IEEE.

Language model pre-training has emerged as a highly effective approach for acquiring universal language representations. Among the state-of-the-art models in this field, BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) has garnered significant attention due to its remarkable performance across various language understanding tasks. With its advanced architecture and innovative techniques, BERT has consistently delivered impressive results, solidifying its position as a leading language model pre-training model. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) is also widely used in language model *** study presents a novel approach for text classification by combining a pre-trained BERT model with a CNN classifier. The model under consideration attains the highest level of performance currently available on the AG News and Amazon product reviews datasets. The BERT model is applied to produce contextualized embeddings for the input text data, while the CNN classifier executes the classification process. By utilizing the contextualized embeddings of BERT and the n-gram feature capturing of CNN, our model exhibits superior performance in both accuracy and F1 score when compared to the baseline models. The findings indicate the capability of our methodology in analyzing social media, determining sentiment, and classifying documents. © 2023 IEEE.

Gastrointestinal diseases like ulcers, polyps’, and bleeding areincreasing rapidly in the world over the last decade. On average 0.7 millioncases are reported worldwide every year. The main cause of gastrointestinaldiseases is a Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) bacterium that presents in morethan 50% of people around the globe. Many researchers have proposeddifferent methods for gastrointestinal disease using computer vision *** of them focused on the detection process and the rest of themperformed classification. The major challenges that they faced are the similarityof infected and healthy regions that misleads the correct classificationaccuracy. In this work, we proposed a technique based on Mask Recurrent-Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) and fine-tuned pre-trainedResNet-50 and ResNet-152 networks for feature extraction. Initially, the region ofinterest is detected using Mask R-CNN which is later utilized for the trainingof fine-tuned models through transfer learning. Features are extracted fromfine-tuned models that are later fused using a serial approach. Moreover, anImproved Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm has also opted for thebest feature selection from the fused feature vector. The best-selected featuresare finally classified using machine learning techniques. The experimentalprocess was conducted on the publicly available dataset and obtained animproved accuracy of 96.43%. In comparison with state-of-the-art techniques,it is observed that the proposed accuracy is improved.

Soft robots offer promising solutions for rehabilitation due to their inherent attributes such as suppleness, lightweight construction, and safety features. However, prevalent soft actuators face limitations in output force and bending angle, impeding their effective application in rehabilitation. This paper proposes a novel design approach employing a two-layer lattice structure actuator, comprising flexion, guiding, and extension layers. This innovative design facilitates supple and efficient bi-directional rehabilitation training for fingers and wrists. Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed dual-layer lattice structure actuator. At an air pressure of 150 kPa, it achieves an end force of 14.88 N, marking a remarkable 906% increase compared to its single-layer counterpart. Additionally, the dual-layer structure exhibits a minimum bending radius of 2.77 cm under 60 kPa, representing a 38.5% reduction relative to the single-layer actuator. Leveraging these actuators, a hand and wrist rehabilitation robot was developed and subjected to a clinical trial involving two healthy subjects. The trial outcomes reveal significant improvements in finger grasping ability and wrist range of motion with the assistance of the rehabilitation robot. These results underscore the practical usability and effectiveness of the soft hand and wrist rehabilitation robot, thereby holding promise for enhancing patient rehabilitation outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.
