Integrating Real-Time and Non-Real-Time Collaborative Programming: Workflow, Techniques, and Prototypes

Real-time collaborative programming enables a group of programmers to edit shared source code at the same time, which significantly complements the traditional non-real-time collaborative programming supported by version control systems. However, one critical issue with this emerging technique is the lack of integration with non-real-time collaboration. Specifically, contributions from multiple programmers in a real-time collaboration session cannot be distinguished and accurately recorded in the version control system. In this study, we propose a scheme that integrates real-time and non-real-time collaborative programming with a novel workflow, and contribute enabling techniques to realize such integration. As a proof-of-concept, we have successfully implemented two prototype systems named CoEclipse and CoIDEA, which allow programmers to closely collaborate in a real-time fashion while preserving the work's compatibility with traditional non-real-time collaboration. User evaluation and performance experiments have confirmed the feasibility of the approach and techniques, demonstrated the good system performance, and presented the satisfactory usability of the prototypes. © 2023 ACM.

Enhancing Security in the Internet of Things: A Trust-Based Protocol for Resilient Communication

The quick increasing in the Internet of Things (IoT) devices has raised significant security concerns, particularly in the face of reactive jamming attacks. This paper proposes a trust-based protocol named Trust-Based Protocol for Resilient Communication (TBRC) that incorporates a robust key management technique to improve the security of IoT systems and mitigate the impact of reactive jamming attacks. To assess the effectiveness of our protocol, the work is compared with existing schemes such as CKMT, EDDK, and CEMT. Through extensive simulations under realistic conditions, we analyze key performance metrics, including energy consumption, packet loss, computational time, and throughput. The comparative analysis demonstrates that our proposed protocol outperforms CKMT, EDDK, and CEMT in terms of computational efficiency, throughput, and delay, making it a more effective solution for secure IoT communication. By leveraging a robust key management technique, our protocol provides a secure and resilient communication framework for IoT environments, effectively countering reactive jamming attacks. The integration of this technique strengthens the overall security posture of IoT networks, ensuring reliable and secure communication between devices. This work contributes to advancing IoT security by introducing a trust-based protocol with a robust key management technique that effectively mitigates the impact of reactive jamming attacks. The comparative evaluation against existing schemes validates the superiority of our proposed approach in terms of security, efficiency, and reliability. The results of our evaluation highlight the improved performance of our protocol, positioning it as a promising solution for real-world IoT deployments. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Nowadays days,the chief grounds of automobile accidents are driver fatigue and *** the development of computer vision technology,a cutting-edge system has the potential to spot driver distractions or sleepiness and alert them,reducing *** paper presents a novel approach to detecting driver tiredness based on eye and mouth movements and object identification that causes a distraction while operating a motor *** the facial landmarks that the camera picks up and sends to classify using a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)any changes by focusing on the eyes and mouth zone,precision is *** of the tasks that must be performed in the transit system is seat belt detection to lessen accidents caused by sudden stops or high-speed collisions with other cars.A method is put forth to use convolution neural networks to determine whether the motorist is wearing a seat belt when a driver is sleepy,preoccupied,or not wearing their seat belt,this system alerts them with an alarm,and if they don’t wake up by a predetermined time of 3 s threshold,an automatic message is sent to law enforcement *** suggested CNN-based model exhibits greater accuracy with 97%.It can be utilized to develop a system that detects driver attention or sleeps in real-time.

In recent years, more and more end-to-end deep learning methods have been applied to remote sensing image classification. Convolutional neural networks (CNN) is the most representative one. However, the convolution kernel that makes CNN successful also limits its ability of global perception due to its fixed size. Transformer, as an emerging model, has achieved great success in both computer vision and natural language processing (NLP). Without any convolution module, Transformer is almost entirely composed of Attention mechanism that brings it context-aware ability and makes computational parallelization easier. Therefore, this paper proposes a two-branch convolutional Transformer network, which combines the local feature extraction capabilities of CNN and context-aware capabilities of Transformer to get a better feature representation while modeling dual-path long-range dependence. In addition, we flexibly combine 1D convolutional with linear projection to realize feature embedding while fusing convolutional features. The comparative experiments results on the public dataset confirm the effectiveness of our method, and the ablation experiment proves the necessity of our module and network design. © 2021 IEEE.

Today's marketing strategies place a high priority on comprehending customer sentiments. It will not only give businesses a better understanding of how their clients view their goods and/or services, but it will also give them suggestions on how to enhance their offerings. We make an effort to comprehend the relationship between various factors in customer reviews on an online store for women's clothing. The proposed system also classifies each review, according to, whether it recommends the product in question or not, and whether it has a positive, negative, or neutral sentiment. With the exception of review titles and review texts, we used univariate and multivariate analyses on datasets features to accomplish these goals. Additionally, we have implemented a bidirectional recurrent neural network (RNN) with a long-short term memory unit (LSTM) for sentiment and recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

A pneumothorax is the accumulation of air in the pleural space between the chest and lungs. Air that is in the lungs during breathing can leak out of the lungs and become trapped between the chest and lungs in the thoracic cavity, causing chest pain, difficulty breathing, and ultimately the complete collapse of the taut lungs. pneumothorax. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment should be started. Neural networks have proven effective in image classification tasks, and many researchers believe that training neural network models can detect radiologist-diagnosed chest abnormalities such as pneumonia and pneumothorax. is proving. Moreover, we utilize various techniques, including Stochastic Weight Averaging (SWA), aggressive data augmentation, and learning rate schedule. We use the chest x-ray dataset provided by the 2019 SIIM-ACR In this study, a ResNet-34 neural network is trained on a data set of chest x-rays containing over 10,675 images to create a model that predicts the presence of pneumothorax from chest *** suggested system receives a Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) of 0.8410 © 2023 IEEE.

Fault diagnosis of rotating machinery driven by induction motors has received increasing attention. Current diagnostic methods, which can be performed on existing inverters or current transformers of three-phase induction machines, have become a more economical and reliable alternative to vibration diagnostic methods. Existing references mainly focus on the stator current analysis of single-phase, but most single-phase current analysis methods utilize only a fraction of the total information accessible in the three-phase system. Field experience shows that zero-sequence current (ZSC) has more distinctive fault characteristics compared to single-phase current, and therefore it is better to use in mechanical fault detection and diagnostic tasks. This article proposes a novel sparse learning-based method for ZSC analysis for induction rotating motor drive fault diagnosis. First, it elaborates and compares the effectiveness of ZSC in revealing fault characteristics compared with single-phase current by analyzing the fault diagnosis mechanism of ZSC. In addition, the method proposes a correlation entropy-enhanced sparse learning method for the problem of high-frequency noise and interference in the ZSC signals, so as to enhance the learning of the features of the noise-containing signals. The diagnostic efficacy of the proposed method has been verified through experiments on two real datasets. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

Pre-trained large-scale models have exhibited remarkable efficacy in computer vision, particularly for 2D image analysis. However, when it comes to 3D point clouds, the constrained accessibility of data, in contrast to the vast repositories of images, poses a challenge for the development of 3D pre-trained models. This paper therefore attempts to directly leverage pre-trained models with 2D prior knowledge to accomplish the tasks for 3D point cloud analysis. Accordingly, we propose the Adaptive PointFormer (APF), which fine-tunes pre-trained 2D models with only a modest number of parameters to directly process point clouds, obviating the need for mapping to images. Specifically, we convert raw point clouds into point embeddings for aligning dimensions with image tokens. Given the inherent disorder in point clouds, in contrast to the structured nature of images, we then sequence the point embeddings to optimize the utilization of 2D attention priors. To calibrate attention across 3D and 2D domains and reduce computational overhead, a trainable PointFormer with a limited number of parameters is subsequently concatenated to a frozen pre-trained image model. Extensive experiments on various benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed APF.
