The medical community has more concern on lung cancer *** experts’physical segmentation of lung cancers is time-consuming and needs to be *** research study’s objective is to diagnose lung tumors at an early stage to extend the life of humans using deep learning ***-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)system aids in the diagnosis and shortens the time necessary to detect the tumor *** application of Deep Neural Networks(DNN)has also been exhibited as an excellent and effective method in classification and segmentation *** research aims to separate lung cancers from images of Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)with threshold *** Honey hook process categorizes lung cancer based on characteristics retrieved using several *** this principle,the work presents a solution for image compression utilizing a Deep Wave Auto-Encoder(DWAE).The combination of the two approaches significantly reduces the overall size of the feature set required for any future classification process performed using *** proposed DWAE-DNN image classifier is applied to a lung imaging dataset with Radial Basis Function(RBF)*** study reported promising results with an accuracy of 97.34%,whereas using the Decision Tree(DT)classifier has an accuracy of 94.24%.The proposed approach(DWAE-DNN)is found to classify the images with an accuracy of 98.67%,either as malignant or normal *** contrast to the accuracy requirements,the work also uses the benchmark standards like specificity,sensitivity,and precision to evaluate the efficiency of the *** is found from an investigation that the DT classifier provides the maximum performance in the DWAE-DNN depending on the network’s performance on image testing,as shown by the data acquired by the categorizers themselves.

Dynamic multiobjective optimization problems (DMOPs) usually contain multiple conflicting objectives that change over time, which requires the optimization algorithms to quickly track the Pareto optimal front (POF) when the environment changes. In recent years, transfer learning (TL)-based methods have been considered promising in solving DMOPs. However, most existing TL-based methods are computationally extensive and therefore time-consuming. In this paper, a clustering based autoencoding for DMOEA, called CAE-DMOEA, is proposed, which aims to generate a high-quality initial population to accelerate the evolutionary process and improve the optimization performance. In particular, by learning the mapping relationship between the regional centroids of the approximate Pareto-optimal solutions (POS) from the previous two environments, the CAE-DMOEA can effectively predict the regional centroids of the POS in the new environment, which helps to tracking the moving POS and enhance the optimization efficiency. To study the performance of the proposed method, extensive experiments have been carried out by comparing three state-of-the-art DMOEAs. The experimental results show that the overall performance of the CAE-DMOEA is superior to that of the compared algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents an intelligent maintenance scheduling model for 5G networks using a deep reinforcement learning approach, specifically ECA-DenseNet-DQN. The proposed model optimizes the allocation of maintenance personnel by considering both travel and task completion times, aiming to minimize total task duration. Unlike traditional scheduling methods that often disregard skill levels and workloads of personnel, the model integrates Efficient Channel Attention (ECA) mechanisms into DenseNet to enhance feature extraction capabilities, thereby improving scheduling decisions. Simulation experiments demonstrate the model’s superior performance in reducing task completion time and achieving faster convergence compared to existing algorithms. ©2024 IEEE.

This work proposes a novel three-layer federated learning (FL) framework with parameter selection and pre-synchronization (PSPFL) to achieve fast and accurate model training. The basic idea of PSPFL is that clients select partial model parameters for transmission and then base stations aggregate them cooperatively (i.e., pre-synchronization) and send the aggregated results to the server for global model update periodically. However, there is an intrinsic trade-off between parameter transmission overhead and model training loss. To strike a desirable balance between them, we investigate the optimal parameter pre-synchronization round and local training round under PSPFL. Specifically, we propose a Deep Q-Network (DQN)-based method to obtain the local training round and parameter pre-synchronization round. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method on commonly used datasets. The results show that the proposed method can reduce the sum of FL completion time and training loss by an average of 8.17%-18.82% compared to benchmarks. © 2023 IEEE.

Colored Petri nets (CPNs) provide descriptions of the concurrent behaviors for software and hardware. Model checking based on CPNs is an effective method to simulate and verify the concurrent behavior in system design. However, the model-checking method traverses the full state space, which suffers from the state-space explosion problem. A reduced state-space generation method related to the property of concurrent systems is proposed. Specifically, we extend CPNs to define a property-related model (CPN-PR) and give a property-related analysis method whose results can be used to generate the CPN-PR model. A reduced state-space generation method is developed based on enabled binding element filtering rules. The stutter trace equivalence between the state spaces of CPN and CPN-PR has been proven by showing that the reduced state space may not change the model-checking result. A comparison experiment is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

The proliferation of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) in various applications has necessitated the exploration of network architectures that can ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable communication. This study presents a comparative performance evaluation of traditional networking paradigms and software-Defined Networking (SDN)-based architectures within WSN. Utilizing the Floodlight SDN controller and Mininet-WiFi emulator, we conducted a series of experiments across three different network topologies, varying the number of hosts and access points. The performance metrics focused on are average latency, packet loss percentage, and throughput. The results demonstrate a considerable improvement in all measured parameters under the SDN-based environment compared to the traditional setup. Specifically, SDN environments consistently showcased lower latency, minimal packet loss, and higher throughput, with the most notable difference observed in smaller network configurations. The findings suggest that SDN, with its centralized control plane, can significantly enhance the performance of WSNs, particularly in scenarios demanding rapid scalability and dynamic traffic management. This study underscores the potential of SDN architectures in optimizing WSN operations and lays the groundwork for future research in this domain. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Weighted vertex cover(WVC)is one of the most important combinatorial optimization *** this paper,we provide a new game optimization to achieve efficiency and time of solutions for the WVC problem of weighted *** first model the WVC problem as a general game on weighted *** the framework of a game,we newly define several cover states to describe the WVC ***,we reveal the relationship among these cover states of the weighted network and the strict Nash equilibriums(SNEs)of the ***,we propose a game-based asynchronous algorithm(GAA),which can theoretically guarantee that all cover states of vertices converging in an SNE with polynomial ***,we improve the GAA by adding 2-hop and 3-hop adjustment mechanisms,termed the improved game-based asynchronous algorithm(IGAA),in which we prove that it can obtain a better solution to the WVC problem than using a the ***,numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed IGAA can obtain a better approximate solution in promising computation time compared with the existing representative algorithms.
