The integration of Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) within the Low-Code Development Platforms (LCDPs) is expected to revolutionize the speed and accessibility of blockchain application development. This paper explores the synergy between BaaS and the low-code or no-code development environments in Platform as a Service (PaaS) frameworks, examining opportunities, challenges, and implications for developers and organizations. LCDPs have gained popularity for simplifying application creation, empowering a broad spectrum of developers from citizen developers to experienced professionals. Concurrently, blockchain technology offers enhanced security and transparency but traditionally requires specialized skills for implementation. By embedding BaaS capabilities within LCDPs, developers can leverage blockchain benefits without extensive expertise, streamlining development processes and accelerating time-to-market for blockchain applications. Additionally, it addresses challenges related to security, scalability, and the complexity of managing blockchain operations within simplified development environments. The use of privacy-enhanced facial recognition has increased in response to growing concerns about data securityand privacy in the digital age. This trend is spurred by rising demand for face recognition technology in a varietyof industries, including access control, law enforcement, surveillance, and internet communication. However,the growing usage of face recognition technology has created serious concerns about data monitoring and userprivacy preferences, especially in context-aware systems. In response to these problems, this study provides a novelframework that integrates sophisticated approaches such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Blockchain,and distributed computing to solve privacy concerns while maintaining exact face recognition. The framework’spainstaking design and execution strive to strike a compromise between precise face recognition and protectingpersonal data integrity in an increasingly interconnected environment. Using cutting-edge tools like Dlib for faceanalysis,Ray Cluster for distributed computing, and Blockchain for decentralized identity verification, the proposedsystem provides scalable and secure facial analysis while protecting user privacy. The study’s contributions includethe creation of a sustainable and scalable solution for privacy-aware face recognition, the implementation of flexibleprivacy computing approaches based on Blockchain networks, and the demonstration of higher performanceover previous methods. Specifically, the proposed StyleGAN model has an outstanding accuracy rate of 93.84%while processing high-resolution images from the CelebA-HQ dataset, beating other evaluated models such asProgressive GAN 90.27%, CycleGAN 89.80%, and MGAN 80.80%. With improvements in accuracy, speed, andprivacy protection, the framework has great promise for practical use in a variety of fields that need face recognitiontechnology. Motor pattern recognition paradigms are the main forms of Brain-computer Interfaces(BCI) aimed at motor function rehabilitation and are the most easily promoted applications. In recent years, many researchers have suggested encouraging patients to perform real motor control execution simultaneously in MI-based BCI rehabilitation training systems. Electromyography (EMG) signals are the most direct physiological signals that can assess the execution of movements. Multimodal signal fusion is practically significant for decoding motor patterns. Therefore, we introduce a multimodal motion pattern recognition algorithm for EEG and EMG signals: EEG-EMG FAConformer, a method with several attention modules correlated with temporal and frequency information for motor pattern recognition. We especially devise a frequency band attention module to encode EEG information accurately and efficiently. What's more, modules like Multi-Scale Fusion Module, Independent ChannelSpecific Convolution Module(ICSCM), and Fuse Module which can effectively eliminate irrelevant information in EEG and EMG signals and fully exploit hidden dynamics are developed and show great effects. Extensive experiments show that EEGEMG FAConformer surpasses existing methods on Jeong2020 dataset, showcasing outstanding performance, high robustness and impressive stability. © 2024 IEEE.

Federated learning (FL) enables collaborative model training across multiple medical institutions to ensure data security. However, due to the variations in medical imaging equipment and regions at different medical institutions, FL methods usually suffer from insufficient data annotations and irrelevant noise within private datasets. To address these issues, a robust federated semi-supervised learning method via pseudo-label filtering (PFRFed) is introduced to utilize unlabeled data while mitigating the impact of noise data. Compared with existing federated semi-supervised learning methods, we propose a pseudo-label filtering mechanism with double dynamic thresholds, which allows the model to adopt more unlabeled data by adjusting the confidence and entropy thresholds at each stage of model training. Moreover, to reduce the degradation caused by noise data in private datasets from different clients, a noise-tolerant loss function and a grouping aggregation method based on the local model similarity are employed. The comparative experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of PFRFed, which has achieved the best classification accuracy of 95.20% and 88.72% on two public medical datasets. Also, PFRFed exhibits heightened resilience to variations in noisy data ratio and labeled data ratio, reaffirming its versatility and robustness. © 2024 IEEE.

Popularity prediction of online video is widely used in many different scenarios. It can not only help video service providers to schedule video web sites,but also bring considerable profits on investment for both providers and advertisers if popularity of online video is predicted accurately. However, online video popularity prediction still cannot have a satisfactory result, due to the complexity of many crucial factors especially of video distribution network. In this article, we extract seven factors from huge amounts of data about user behavior,establishing a new multiple linear regression model to initially predict online video popularity. After that, a multichannel video popularity dynamic scheduling model is proposed to schedule videos on which channel and what time to be broadcast, according to its popularity predicted by multiple linear regression model, ensuring that maximum the sum value of online video popularity of each channel. Experimental results on dataset obtained from Sohu Video, a video service provider in China, and real-world video flow in Sohu Video demonstrate that the proposed model is robust and has promising performance in predicting online video popularity, which is helpful for video service providers to schedule videos on web sites effectively in the future.

Performance-Guaranteed Finite-Time Tracking of Strict-Feedback Systems with Unknown control Directions: A Novel Switching Mechanism

The problem of achieving performance-guaranteed finite-time exact tracking for uncertain strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown control directions is addressed. A novel logic switching mechanism with monitoring functions is designed to deal with unknown control directions. This approach is different from existing methods like the Nussbaum gain technique and smooth orientation functions, which are inapplicable to finite-time exact tracking. The main challenge lies in designing monitoring functions and determining switching rules, which is well resolved through three steps. Most significantly, in contrast to existing works that solely guarantee bounded tracking or asymptotic exact tracking, the new mechanism incorporates novel integral sliding mode techniques to achieve finite-time exact tracking with guaranteed performance. Finally, simulations are presented with comparison to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. © 1963-2012 IEEE.
