In the rapidly advancing landscape of intelligent medical technology, high-precision and widely applicable medical image segmentation techniques are pivotal in advancing personalized treatment plans and enhancing patient experiences. To address inherent obstacles, such as complex structures and features that are difficult to capture in segmentation tasks, we first propose a CMH module that merges convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with state space models (e.g., Mamba). This module hierarchically integrates CNN's local priors into the Mamba layer, adeptly capturing specific details of target objects and broader contextual information from different perspectives. Subsequently, we introduce an information fusion module based on Mamba (MIH), aimed at dynamically fusing feature information from different paths and levels to enhance feature expression and discrimination. Building upon the abovementioned modules, we develop an unexplored segmentation model, CMHNet, capable of flexibly capturing feature maps of varying scales and angles from medical images. In the experiments, we present CMHNet's distinguished performance in segmentation tasks through massive experiments on four medical datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

In actual conversational scenarios, we can often determine which parts of the previous dialogue are more critical based on the current inquiry. However, the existing contextual modeling methods often encode the query sentence and the dialogue history in a unified manner, which fails to effectively highlight the inference effect of the query sentence. Moreover, these methods typically process the dialogue history only at the information extraction level, neglecting the treatment of the context itself. In this paper, we propose a novel conversational context modeling technique called DialogNTM. Based on the guidance of the query sentence, the technology can effectively eliminate redundant information by reconstructing the representation of the context. Specifically, we have tweaked the memory and input flow of the Neural Turing Machine (NTM) to encode contextual information in memory and guide the read, write, and erase operations of memory through query sentence. This design simulates the human brain's dynamic retrieval and renewal mechanism of previous memories when dealing with current problems. We have conducted extensive experiments on three publicly available datasets to verify the effectiveness of the DialogNTM model. Compared to the benchmark model, DialogNTM showed significant performance improvements ranging from 11% to 73% across multiple automated evaluation metrics (3.52% to 8.68% in absolute terms). © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence systems are usually implemented either using machine learning or expert systems. Machine learning methods are usually more accurate and applicable to a broader range of applications. Expert systems, on the other hand, require much less data for training and generate more comprehensible results. These characteristics are typically desired in the fields of surgery and medicine because there isn't much data available. In order to give a machine's decisions a deeper level of semantics, it is also advantageous to incorporate a doctor's expertise into it. Furthermore, it is safer to understand the reasoning behind a machine's choices. In this paper, a Dempster-Shafer Theory (DST) based expert system is suggested for the task of surgical training skill assessment. An interval-based probabilistic feature analysis was applied to the data to assign values to the mass functions. Zhang's rule of combination was applied to handle the conflicting evidence in the prediction phase. The performance of the proposed method was compared to another DST classifier, SVM, and XGBoost. Our method outperforms SVM and other DST classifiers, but it is not as precise as XGBoost. By reducing the size of the dataset, the added benefit of using an expert system as opposed to a machine learning method was explored further. The performance of the suggested method is not adversely affected by the size of the dataset, whereas the XGBoost classifier is. © 2023 IEEE.

Establishing dense correspondences between semantically similar images is a challenging task. Cost aggregation is a crucial step in finding correct dense correspondences, with the goal of optimizing the initial correlation map thereby removing the ambiguity of the correspondences. Current approaches use transformer architectures for cost aggregation, which lack local priors to adequately capture the local information contained in the correlation map. We propose to incorporate peripheral position coding into the transformer to explore the local information to obtain the matching set and call it the Peripheral Transformer Matcher (PTM). This coding technique partitions the overall receptive field of the self-attention mechanism into diverse peripheral regions, each with its own set of weights. By doing this, the proposed PTM gets a specific local prior by adding an inductive bias to the transformer models and making the initial correlation map less confusing. In addition, a local self-attention module is used to enhance the image features and obtain an enhanced initial correlation map. Comparisons of the experimental results with baselines on public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed PTM.

Efficient Implementation of Aperture Fill Time Correction for Wideband Array Using the Low-complexity Keystone Transform

In order to remove the influence of the aperture fill time (AFT) for wideband array, the scaling principle of the Keystone (KT) transform is applied to eliminate the linear coupling between spatial domain and frequency domain of wideband array signal. However, the classic KT transform is implemented by interpolation Sinc which is difficult to apply in engineering and leads to the serious problem of insufficient data. To address this, a realization of the low-complexity KT transform is presented, and it is implemented using only the Chirp-z transform (CZT) and fast Fourier transforms (FFT). Additionally, an Autoregressive (AR) model is proposed to compensate the insufficient data for each range, and the order of AR is estimated by the rank of the signal covariance matrix. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly reduces computational burden and improves the performance of wideband array beamforming. © 2023, Electromagnetics Academy. In this paper,a two-step control method is proposed,leveraging the generalized Halanay inequality and existing finite-time stability theorems,to achieve finite-time synchronization for a class of neural networks with bounded time-varying *** the first step,the system state is attenuated from V （t0） to γV （t0） using the generalized Halanay inequality,where0<γ 1 is a free *** the second step,by applying existing finite-time stability theorems,the system state further decays from γV （t0） to *** on the above ideas,two novel finite-time stability lemmas for the error system are presented,and the convergence rate as well as the settling time is ***,the value of γ that results in the shortest settling time for the error system is also *** the help of the derived lemmas,several sufficient algebraic criteria are established to achieve finite-time synchronization between the considered delayed neural *** results of this paper not only improve the existing two-step control method but also overcome the limitations of certain one-step finite-time control ***,the validity and practical applicability of the obtained theoretical results are demonstrated through two numerical examples and an image protection experiment.

An efficient and high-performance WSNs restoration algorithm for fault nodes based on FT in data aggregation scheduling

In wireless sensor networks(WSNs), data aggregation effectively reduces network traffic, thereby reducing energy consumption and improving network life cycle. Nevertheless, in the process of data aggregation scheduling, if there are fault nodes, the data quality collected by the whole network will decline, and the network performance will decrease, even posing a threat to network security or causing network paralysis. Thus, an efficient and high-performance WSNs restoration algorithm is proposed based on fat tree(FT), which is referred to as the EPRA-FT algorithm. And our goal is to improve the universality, efficiency, and performance retention of the algorithm. Previously, we have conducted a range of the relevant researches on performance improvement of WSNs aggregation scheduling by adopting FT structure, and some successful results have been obtained. On the basis of these results, for the EPRA-FT algorithm, first and foremost, the relationship among nodes is comprehensively recorded in FT construction process. Then, fault nodes are shielded by deleting the known nodes in aggregation tree. Finally, the local reconfiguration of aggregation tree is completed quickly and efficiently. Meanwhile, the aggregation scheduling performance of the original network is maintained to the maximum extent. The feasibility and superiority of our proposed EPRA-FT algorithm are proved by simulation experiments. © 2025

We address the problem of learning new classes for semantic segmentation models from few examples, which is challenging because of the following two reasons. Firstly, it is difficult to learn from limited novel data to capture the underlying class distribution. Secondly, it is challenging to retain knowledge for existing classes and to avoid catastrophic forgetting. For learning from limited data, we propose a pseudo-labeling strategy to augment the few-shot training annotations in order to learn novel classes more effectively. Given only one or a few images labeled with the novel classes and a much larger set of unlabeled images, we transfer the knowledge from labeled images to unlabeled images with a coarse-to-fine pseudo-labeling approach in two steps. Specifically, we first match each labeled image to its nearest neighbors in the unlabeled image set at the scene level, in order to obtain images with a similar scene layout. This is followed by obtaining pseudo-labels within this neighborhood by applying classifiers learned on the few-shot annotations. In addition, we use knowledge distillation on both labeled and unlabeled data to retain knowledge on existing classes. We integrate the above steps into a single convolutional neural network with a unified learning objective. Extensive experiments on the Cityscapes and KITTI datasets validate the efficacy of the proposed approach in the self-driving domain. Popularity prediction of online video is widely used in many different scenarios. It can not only help video service providers to schedule video web sites,but also bring considerable profits on investment for both providers and advertisers if popularity of online video is predicted accurately. However, online video popularity prediction still cannot have a satisfactory result, due to the complexity of many crucial factors especially of video distribution network. In this article, we extract seven factors from huge amounts of data about user behavior,establishing a new multiple linear regression model to initially predict online video popularity. After that, a multichannel video popularity dynamic scheduling model is proposed to schedule videos on which channel and what time to be broadcast, according to its popularity predicted by multiple linear regression model, ensuring that maximum the sum value of online video popularity of each channel. Experimental results on dataset obtained from Sohu Video, a video service provider in China, and real-world video flow in Sohu Video demonstrate that the proposed model is robust and has promising performance in predicting online video popularity, which is helpful for video service providers to schedule videos on web sites effectively in the future.
