Smart city-aspiring urban areas should have a number of necessary elements in place to achieve the intended *** controlling and management of traffic conditions,increased safety and surveillance,and enhanced incident avoidance and management should be top priorities in smart city *** the same time,Vehicle License Plate Number Recognition(VLPNR)has become a hot research topic,owing to several real-time applications like automated toll fee processing,traffic law enforcement,private space access control,and road traffic *** VLPNR is a computer vision-based technique which is employed in the recognition of automobiles based on vehicle number *** current research paper presents an effective Deep Learning(DL)-based VLPNR called DLVLPNR model to identify and recognize the alphanumeric characters present in license *** proposed model involves two main stages namely,license plate detection and Tesseract-based character *** detection of alphanumeric characters present in license plate takes place with the help of fast RCNN with Inception V2 ***,the characters in the detected number plate are extracted using Tesseract Optical Character Recognition(OCR)*** performance of DL-VLPNR model was tested in this paper using two benchmark databases,and the experimental outcome established the superior performance of the model compared to other methods.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have revolutionized natural language processing, but their deployment often requires substantial computational resources and constant network connectivity. There is a growing need for efficient, locally-runnable LLMs with improved word embeddings for various applications, including chatbots. This study focuses on developing a Large Language Model (LLM) capable of running locally without network connections to generate solutions for given queries using improved word embeddings. In this work, two pre-trained models are used and further trained separately to enhance embedding results. The system incorporates additional features such as document-based chat functionality. Our approach develops a dynamic and adaptive NLP system that can assimilate new data from various sources when connected to a network, ensuring up-to-date word embeddings that capture the latest semantic nuances and language trends. The study compares FastText, GloVe, and Word2Vec models, finding that fastText outperforms the others in text generation within the specified time frame. While fastText may require more time to generate larger content, its efficacy in producing better results makes it the preferred choice for this application. ©2024 IEEE.

In the rapidly evolving digital music landscape, identifying similarities between musical pieces is essential to help musicians avoid unintended copyright infringement and maintain the originality of their work. However, detecting such similarities remains a complex and computationally challenging problem. A novel approach to address this issue is a song similarity detection system that utilizes a Siamese Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with Triplet Loss for effective audio input comparison. The model is trained on a custom dataset from WhoSampled, an extensive database of information on sampled music, cover songs, and remixes. The dataset comprises pairs of audio samples and interpolations, making it suitable for the Siamese CNN approach. Incorporating Triplet Loss enhances the model's performance by learning discriminative features for improved comparison. The performance of this system is assessed using a confidence interval-based metric, achieving a 96.86% accuracy at a 99.7% confidence level in determining the similarity between music samples. The solution provides a helpful tool for musicians to actively compare their creations with existing songs, helping to reduce the likelihood of unintentional plagiarism and possible legal issues. © 2023 IEEE.

The proper implementation of data science and big data analytics has become an essential component for gaining valuable insight and driving innovation across a variety of industries in this era, which is characterized by the constant presence of data. The strategies and protocols that are necessary to fully exploit the promise of these transformational technologies are investigated in depth by this research. A complete framework for enterprises to harness their data assets is the goal of the study, which will be accomplished by analyzing the fundamental principles of data science as well as the difficulties connected with big data. A number of advanced analytics methods, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing, are being investigated as potential integrations into the decision-making process as part of this research. The relevance of data governance, quality, and the ethical considerations that surround data usage are also discussed in this document. It is demonstrated in this study that data-driven insights may lead to strategic advantages, operational efficiencies, and the development of creative goods and services. This is accomplished through a number of case studies and practical examples. In order for businesses to make the most of the potential that are given by data science and big data analytics, it is vital for them to have a culture of data literacy as well as a robust infrastructure, according to the results made. At the end of the study, a collection of best practices and recommendations for businesses and governments to implement in order to cultivate a data-driven environment that encourages innovation and usage of data in a responsible manner are presented. In light of the findings of this study, it is clear that data science and big data analytics require a more comprehensive approach, one that strikes a balance between technological capabilities, organizational readiness, and the influence on society. © 2024

Crowd management has become an integral part of urban planning in abnormality in the crowd and predict its future issues. Big data in social media is a rich source for researchers in crowd data analysis. In this systematic literature review (SLR), modern societies. It can organize the flow of the crowd, perform counting, recognize the related works are analyzed, which includes crowd management from both global and local sides (Hajj events—Saudi Arabia) based on deep learning (DL) methods. This survey concerns crowd management research published from 2010 to 2023. It has specified 45 primary studies that accomplish the objectives of the research questions (RQs), namely, investigation of the taxonomies, approaches, and comprehensive studies of crowd management both globally and locally and focusing on the most commonly used techniques of DL. We found both supervised and unsupervised DL techniques have achieved high accuracy, with different strengths and weaknesses for each approach. A lot of these studies discuss aspects of scene analysis of crowds, that are captured by installed cameras in the place. However, there is a dilemma regarding exploiting data provided on social media to use in the crowd analysis domain. Which we believe that the analysis of big data may raise crowd management to the upper level of enhancement. To this end, motivated by the findings of this SLR. The primary purpose of this review is strived to illustrate obstacles and dilemmas in crowd analysis fields to provide a road map for future researchers. Furthermore, it aims to find research gaps existing to focus on it in the future studies. The results indicate that the lack of Hajj research, especially in sentiment analysis and the study of the pilgrims' behavior. © The Author(s) 2024.

This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of Natural Language Processing (NLP) within Human-computer Interaction (HCI) to identify trends, challenges, and future directions. Analyzing 1,710 SCOPUS-indexed documents (1983-2024) using a PRISMA flowchart, the results show that the United States and China are leading contributors. Key developments include emotion recognition, chatbot interfaces, and speech processing, highlighting NLP's role in user-centered technologies. Despite growing applications, challenges such as reliability and ethical concerns persist. This analysis emphasizes the need for ethical frameworks and technological advancements to address deployment issues and align NLP innovations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By mapping global research trends, this study provides insights into the transformative potential of NLP in HCI for developing inclusive and responsive systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The pervasiveness of misinformation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has garnered heightened attention due to its implications, as a noteworthy proportion of the populace is being exposed to spurious and unsubstantiated narratives concerning the crisis. This research utilizes a dataset sourced from Codalab, comprising 8,560 tweets, with 4,480 labelled as real and 4,080 as fake. The research explores the effectiveness of different machine learning models, including logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), and deep learning models such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM). In addition to model comparison, experiments were conducted to analyze the impact of different data splits (70:30, 80:20, and 90:10), batch sizes (16, 32, and 64), and the number of epochs (5, 10, and 15) on model performance. The experiments provided insights into the optimal configurations for the models. The results showcase the model's capabilities, with high accuracy achieved across the different models. Specifically, logistic regression achieved an accuracy of 92%, random forest 91%, Bi-LSTM 93%, and CNN 95%. These findings highlight the potential of deep learning models, particularly CNN, in accurately detecting fake news from COVID-19-related tweets. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the augmentation of Agricultural Internet of Things (IoT) systems through the integration of advanced predictive analytics and reinforcement learning models. A novel algorithm, termed "CropQL,"is proposed to optimize crop yield prediction and resource allocation in precision agriculture. CropQL amalgamates the strengths of the CropNet IoT model with Q-Learning for reinforcement learning and Random Forest for predictive analytics. Simulation analyses are conducted to evaluate the performance of CropQL against established algorithms, employing diverse metrics such as precision, recall, F1 score, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC-ROC). The proposed CropQL algorithm exhibits superior predictive accuracy, demonstrating a significant enhancement in crop yield forecasting when compared to baseline algorithms. Precision and recall metrics reveal the algorithm's efficacy in minimizing false positives and negatives, ensuring precision agriculture systems make informed decisions. F1 score indicates the balanced optimization of precision and recall, reinforcing the algorithm's robustness. AUC-ROC analysis further corroborates the superior discriminative power of CropQL in distinguishing between positive and negative instances. In comparison to existing algorithms, including AgriSensNet, PrecisionCropNet, and IoTFarmGuard, CropQL consistently outperforms in predictive accuracy and resource optimization. The simulation results underscore the efficacy of the proposed algorithm in enhancing the efficiency of agricultural IoT systems, providing a promising avenue for sustainable precision farming. © 2024 IEEE.

Web services are provided as reusable software components in the services-oriented *** complicated composite services can be combined from these components to satisfy the user requirements represented as a workflow with specified Quality of Service(QoS)*** workflow consists of tasks where many services can be considered for each *** for optimal services combination and optimizing the overall QoS limitations is a Non-deterministic Polynomial(NP)-hard *** work focuses on the Web Service Composition(WSC)problem and proposes a new service composition algorithm based on the micro-bats behavior while hunting the *** proposed algorithm determines the optimal combination of the web services to satisfy the complex user *** also addresses the Bat Algorithm(BA)shortcomings,such as the tradeoff among exploration and exploitation searching mechanisms,local optima,and convergence *** proposed enhancement includes a developed cooperative and adaptive population initialization *** elitist mechanism is utilized to address the BA convergence *** tradeoff between exploration and exploitation is handled through a neighborhood search *** benchmark datasets are selected to evaluate the proposed bat algorithm’s *** simulation results are estimated using the average fitness value,the standard deviation of the fitness value,and an average of the execution time and compared with four bat-inspired *** is observed from the simulation results that introduced enhancement obtains significant results.

The local resolving dominating set studied in this paper is a notion that combines two concepts in graph theory, the local metric dimension and dominations in graphs. Let G and H be connected graphs of orders n and m, respectively;and x a vertex in H hereafter referred to as a linkage vertex. The comb product of G and H denoted by G.H, is a graph obtained by taking one copy of G and n copies of H and attaching the i-th copy of H at the vertex x to the i-th vertex of G. In this paper, we determine the local resolving dominating set of the comb products G. Sn with two different linkage vertices, G. Kn, G. Km,n and G.
