This study examines the impact of energy management systems (EnMS) on energy performance and organizational competitiveness. Manufacturing organizations were surveyed to collect data on EnMS implementation, energy consumption, and energy costs. The results of the study show that organizations with EnMS have lower energy consumption and costs than organizations without EnMS. The study also found that EnMS can improve organizational competitiveness by increasing productivity, reducing costs, and improving environmental performance. The findings of this study suggest that EnMS can be a valuable tool for organizations that are looking to improve their energy performance and competitiveness. The study also provides practical recommendations for organizations that are considering implementing an EnMS. © 2023 IEEE.

Geometric Reachability for Attitude control Systems via Contraction Theory

In this paper, we present a geometric framework for the reachability analysis of attitude control systems. We model the attitude dynamics on the product manifold SO(3) × 3 and introduce a novel parametrized family of Riemannian metrics on this space. Using contraction theory on manifolds, we establish reliable upper bounds on the Riemannian distance between nearby trajectories of the attitude control systems. By combining these trajectory bounds with numerical simulations, we provide a simulation-based algorithm to over-approximate the reachable sets of attitude systems. We show that the search for optimal metrics for distance bounds can be efficiently performed using semidefinite programming. Additionally, we introduce a practical and effective representation of these over-approximations on manifolds, enabling their integration with existing Euclidean tools and software. Visibility graph algorithm is a widely used time series complex network transformation algorithm. It has been mainly applied to one-dimensional or multidimensional time series, while many real-life objects, such as images, cannot be represented by sequences. In this paper, we focus on two-dimensional images and propose a novel method of image visibility graph network (IVGN) with redefined node-degree features. We use the staining images of corneal ulcer of eye as the research object and demonstrate the application of IVGN to medical images. Our method consists of the following steps: (1) We construct a novel IVGN by treating each pixel as a node and connecting the visible pixels. We compute the average node degree of the IVGN for ocular pathology image analysis. (2) Based on the IVGN, we extract the node-degree features of the visible images and map them to a new degree topology, which is used for image enhancement. (3) By doing so, we build a gray co-occurrence matrix based on the degree topology and extract its four parameters, showing the role of the degree topology in image texture extraction. (4) As a result, we use the proposed contrast-based descriptors to achieve effective detection of eye staining images with different categories and severity levels. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper constructs a non-cooperative/cooperative stochasticdifferential game model to prove that the optimal strategies trajectory ofagents in a system with a topological configuration of a Multi-Local-Worldgraph would converge into a certain attractor if the system’s configuration isfixed. Due to the economics and management property, almost all systems aredivided into several independent Local-Worlds, and the interaction betweenagents in the system is more complex. The interaction between agents inthe same Local-World is defined as a stochastic differential cooperativegame;conversely, the interaction between agents in different Local-Worldsis defined as a stochastic differential non-cooperative game. We construct anon-cooperative/cooperative stochastic differential game model to describethe interaction between agents. The solutions of the cooperative and noncooperativegames are obtained by invoking corresponding theories, and thena nonlinear operator is constructed to couple these two solutions *** last, the optimal strategies trajectory of agents in the system is proven toconverge into a certain attractor, which means that strategies trajectory arecertainty as time tends to infinity or a large positive integer. It is concluded thatthe optimal strategy trajectory with a nonlinear operator of cooperative/noncooperativestochastic differential game between agents can make agentsin a certain Local-World coordinate and make the Local-World paymentmaximize, and can make the all Local-Worlds equilibrated;furthermore, theoptimal strategy of the coupled game can converge into a particular attractorthat decides the optimal property.

In the era of artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC), conditional multimodal synthesis technologies (e.g., text-to-image) are dynamically reshaping the natural content. Brain signals, serving as potential reflections of how the brain interprets external information, exhibit a distinctive one-to-many correspondence with various external modalities. This correspondence makes brain signals emerge as a promising guiding condition for multimodal synthesis (e.g., image, text, and audio), which is crucial for developing practical brain–computer interface systems and unraveling complex mechanisms underlying human perception. This survey comprehensively examines the emerging field of brain-conditional multimodal synthesis, termed AIGC-brain, to delineate the current landscape and future directions. To begin, related neuroimaging datasets and generative models are introduced as the foundation of AIGC-brain decoding and analysis. Next, we present a comprehensive taxonomy according to AIGC-brain methodologies, followed by task-specific representative work and implementation details to facilitate in-depth comparison and analysis. Quality assessments are then introduced for both qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Finally, this survey explores insights gained, outlining current challenges and prospects of AIGC-brain. As a pioneering survey, this article paves the way for future advances in AIGC-brain research. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel mean pyramid strategy for binary pattern family. The mean pyramid strategy can help the binary pattern family to capture robust multilayer local texture structure instead of the traditional single pixel value. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, we apply the mean pyramid strategy to the classical completed local binary pattern and present the completed mean pyramid local binary pattern for texture classification tasks. The experimental results on Outex database show that the proposed mean pyramid strategy can significantly enhances the classification performance of binary pattern family.

Boundary effect, as an inherent drawback of discriminative correlation filter (DCF) trackers, cannot be handled well in most existing studies. This paper proposes an adaptive enhanced windowed correlation filter tracker (AEWCF), which can alleviate boundary effect adaptively and capture more reliable target information effectively. Firstly, a target enhanced likelihood map is introduced to extract reliable target information from searching window. Then, this paper further proposes an adaptive parted searching window including two sub-windows: the object region window depended on object likelihood maximization strategy and the background window generated by background suppression scheme. The extensive evaluation on OTB2015 benchmarks demonstrate that the AWCF tracker performs favorably against some popular trackers and keeps real-time speed.

In order to quantitatively analyze the total alkalinity of water in eco-industrial park, conduct on-line detection of total alkalinity of water in eco-industrial park, and improve the monitoring and dredging ability of total alkalinity of water and related pollutants in eco-industrial park, an on-line detection model of total alkalinity of water in eco-industrial park based on improved genetic algorithm was proposed. The statistical information mining model of total alkalinity and concentration characteristic distribution of related pollutants in eco-industrial park is constructed, the hydrogeological conditions are identified, the characteristic structural parameters of total alkalinity in eco-industrial park are determined, the improved genetic evolutionary algorithm method is adopted to manage the distribution characteristic of total alkalinity and concentration of related pollutants in eco-industrial park, and the aquifer parameters in the evaluation area are simulated. A transfer conduction control model of total alkalinity and related pollutants concentration characteristic distribution in eco-industrial park was established. The diversion rate and throughput of total alkalinity and related pollutants concentration characteristic distribution in eco-industrial park were taken as constraint indicators, and the transfer control of total alkalinity and related pollutants concentration characteristic distribution in eco-industrial park was carried out, so as to realize numerical quantitative detection and analysis of total alkalinity in eco-industrial park. The simulation results show that this method has good performance in online detection of total alkalinity of water quality in eco-industrial park, and has strong dredging ability, which improves the treatment level of total alkalinity of water quality and related pollutants in eco-industrial park. © 2021 IEEE.

Stereo image sand removal is crucial to improve the perceptual quality for autonomous driving perception. Existing methods often fall short in accurately estimating the uncertainty inherent in degraded images, leading to suboptimal outcomes. To address this, we introduce a novel framework named Decoupling While Coupling(DWC). DWC pioneers the integration of inter-view uncertainty estimation, cross-view uncertainty-aware interaction and block-wise uncertainty representation for superior stereo image sand removal. For cross-view information interaction, we propose an Uncertainty-aware Cross-view Attentive Interaction module(UCAI) to cope with the lack of uncertainty estimation ability in the existing cross-view information interaction mechanism. For the uncertainty perception and information interaction within the inter-view, we propose a Distribution Modeling Coupling Block(DMCB), which transmits the representation of uncertainty between each backbone module. For block-wise uncertainty estimation, we use our proposed Uncertainty-aware Distribution Feature Modulator(UDFM) as the backbone of DWC to modulate the uncertainty inside the neural network itself. Extensive experimental validations on our proposed stereo image sand removal dataset SandST confirm the efficacy of DWC. Our method not only achieves higher PSNR and SSIM, but also exhibits enhanced robustness against various sand degrees and patterns. © 2025 IEEE.

Programmable logic controllers(PLCs)play a critical role in many industrial control systems,yet face increasingly serious cyber *** this paper,we propose a novel PLC-compatible software-based defense mechanism,called Heterogeneous Redundant Proactive Defense Framework(HRPDF).We propose a heterogeneous PLC architecture in HRPDF,including multiple heterogeneous,equivalent,and synchronous runtimes,which can thwart multiple types of attacks against PLC without the need of external *** ensure the availability of PLC,we also design an inter-process communication algorithm that minimizes the overhead of *** implement a prototype system of HRPDF and test it in a real-world PLC and an OpenPLC-based device,*** results show that HRPDF can defend against multiple types of attacks with 10.22%additional CPU and 5.56%additional memory overhead,and about 0.6 ms additional time overhead.
