A Gait Recognition Method Based on the Combination of Human Body Posture and Human Body Contour

Aiming at the issues that affect the gait recognition, such as outfit changes and carry-on-objects during gait recognition, this paper proposes a gait recognition method based on the improved GaitSet network, which relies on the fusion of human posture and human contour. This method introduces key points of human posture, and improves the precision of human contour extraction by introducing the key points of human posture. At the same time, the human posture map composed of the key points of human posture is used as the synchronous attribute of the contour map to extract gait features. Because key points focus on the inherent walking characteristics of human body, they are not affected by the external information such as clothing and carrying objects. Combined with the rich gait change attributes of human contour, it can effectively improve the accuracy and robustness of the gait recognition model. In scenes of human body wearing coats, our experimental results show that the accuracy of the proposed method in CASIA-B gait data set and self-built database can reach over 73.5% accuracy.

The industrial supply chain networks basically capture the circulation of social resource, dominating the stability and efficiency of the industrial system. In this paper, we provide an empirical study of the topology of smartphone supply chain network. The supply chain network is constructed using open online data. Our experimental results show that the smartphone supply chain network has small-world feature with scale-free degree distribution, in which a few high degree nodes play a key role in the function and can effectively reduce the communication cost. We also detect the community structure to find the basic functional unit. It shows that information communication between nodes is crucial to improve the resource utilization. We should pay attention to the global resource configuration for such electronic production management.

Virtual campus roaming is the combination of scene roaming technology and virtual building scene, and it is an important branch of virtual reality technology. The virtual campus roaming system of Qingdao University has been established on the HTC VIVE platform. The interactive roaming between the experiencer and the virtual campus has been realized and the immersive effect has been achieved. The running results show that the HTC VIVE-based virtual campus roaming system of Qingdao University can better display the school profile and has a good human-computer interaction, which not only helps the outside world to understand the school environment, but also provides a basis for the digital campus.

This paper proposes a perceptual hash algorithm based on the combination of Scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) and cluster analysis (K-means). SIFT is used for extracting local stabilized feature points of images. K-means is used for compressing feature data and obtain image perceptual hash. Assess the similarity between video frame and frame by means of Hamming distance among perceptual hash value. Through the analysis of experimental data, the results show that the algorithm has good robustness and success rate. © 2018 IEEE.

When investigating the spreading of a piece of information or the diffusion of an innovation, we often lack information on the underlying propagation network. Reconstructing the hidden propagation paths based on the observed diffusion process is a challenging problem which has recently attracted attention from diverse research fields. To address this reconstruction problem, based on static similarity metrics commonly used in the link prediction literature, we introduce new node-node temporal similarity metrics. The new metrics take as input the time-series of multiple independent spreading processes, based on the hypothesis that two nodes are more likely to be connected if they were often infected at similar points in time. This hypothesis is implemented by introducing a time-lag function which penalizes distant infection times. We find that the choice of this time-lag strongly affects the metrics' reconstruction accuracy, depending on the network's clustering coefficient and we provide an extensive comparative analysis of static and temporal similarity metrics for network reconstruction. Our findings shed new light on the notion of similarity between pairs of nodes in complex networks. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A framework for revealing the human dynamics mechanism of 'meet is fate'

Is it accidental or fate that people meet each other in space and time? If it is fate, what kind of scientific model does it contain? Mining the scientific model implied in 'meet is fate' is to analyse the correlation between 'meet' and 'fate', and to reveal its dynamics mechanism. 'Meet' is a kind of space-time interaction, and 'fate' is the prediction of future social relation, so the correlation analysis between 'meet' and 'fate' can be modelled as dynamic correlation analysis between space-time interaction and social relation of human group behaviour. How to achieve that from the original space-time behaviour data is a challenge. To address it, this article proposes a theoretical framework based on the theories and methods about geographic information science and complexity science. This article presents this framework for the first time to provide a feasible solution to verify and study this philosophical view of 'meet is fate' scientifically, and explores a meaningful research direction for the inter-cross application between geographic information science and human dynamics at the age of mobile big data.

It is vitally important to develop highly active, robust and low-cost transition metal-based electrocatalysts for overall water splitting in neutral solution especially at large current density. In this work, amorphous Mo-doped NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 nanosheets@crystalline NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 nanorods (Am−Mo−NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 ) was synthesized using a facil one-step strategy. In phosphate buffer saline solution, the Am−Mo−NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 shows tiny overpotentials of 48 and 209 mV for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), 238 and 514 mV for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) at 10 and 1000 mA cm −2 , respectively. Moreover, Am−Mo−NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 delivers excellent stability for at least 300 h without obvious degradation. Theoretical calculations revealed that the Ni sites in the defect-rich amorphous structure of Am−Mo−NiS 0.5 Se 0.5 owns higher electron state density and strengthened the binding energy of H 2 O, which will optimize H adsorption/desorption energy barriers and reduce the adsorption energy of OER determining step.

Most of the traditional classification algorithms are based on the premise that the datasets are uniformly distributed or roughly equivalent. Once the sample dataset is not balanced , the classification performance drops sharply. To efficiently deal with the imbalance of data, an improved generative adversarial network (GAN) algorithm is proposed in this work . Firstly, we construct artificial samples so that more minority-class's data can be obtained via optimizing GAN loss function. Secondly, we build a fully-connected network for structured data classification. Finally, experimental evaluations are conducted on two open structured-datasets and the results of the proposed algorithm demonstrate a good applicability for the classification of structured data.

There are a lot of hidden dangers in the change of human skin conditions, such as the sunburn caused by long-time exposure to ultraviolet radiation, which not only has aesthetic impact causing psychological depression and lack of selfconfidence, but also may even be life-threatening due to skin canceration. Current skin disease researches adopt the auto-classification system for improving the accuracy rate of skin disease classification. However, the excessive dependence on the image sample database is unable to provide individualized diagnosis service for different population groups. To overcome this problem, a medical AI framework based on data width evolution and self-learning is put forward in this paper to provide skin disease medical service meeting the requirement of real time, extendibility and individualization. First, the wide collection of data in the close-loop information flow of user and remote medical data center is discussed. Next, a data set filter algorithm based on information entropy is given, to lighten the load of edge node and meanwhile improve the learning ability of remote cloud analysis model. In addition, the framework provides an external algorithm load module, which can be compatible with the application requirements according to the model selected. Three kinds of deep learning model, i.e. LeNet-5, AlexNet and VGG16, are loaded and compared, which have verified the universality of the algorithm load module. The experiment platform for the proposed real-time, individualized and extensible skin disease recognition system is built. And the system's computation and communication delay under the interaction scenario between tester and remote data center are analyzed. The irreversible issues of Zn anode stemming from dendrite growth and water-induced erosion have severely hindered the commercialization of rechargeable aqueous Zn batteries. Herein, a hydrophobic and fast-Zn 2+ -conductive zinc hexacyanoferrate (HB-ZnHCF) interphase layer is in situ integrated on Zn by a rapid room-temperature wet-chemistry method to address these dilemmas. Different from currently proposed hydrophilic inorganic cases, the hydrophobic and compact HB-ZnHCF interphase effectively prevents the access of water molecules to Zn surface, thus avoiding H 2 evolution and Zn corrosion. Moreover, the HB-ZnHCF with large internal ion channels, strong zincophilicity, and high Zn 2+ transference number (0.86) permits fast Zn 2+ transport and enables smooth Zn deposition. Remarkably, the resultant HB-ZnHCF@Zn electrode delivers unprecedented reversibility with 99.88 % Coulombic efficiency over 3000 cycles, realizes long-term cycling over 5800 h (>8 months, 1 mA cm −2 ) and 1000 h (10 mA cm −2 ), and assures the stable operation of full Zn battery with both coin- and pouch-type configurations.
