Monitoring the daily transportation modes of an individual provides useful information in many application domains, such as urban design, real-time journey recommendation, as well as providing location-based services. In existing systems, accelerometer and GPS are the dominantly used signal sources for transportation context monitoring which drain out the limited battery life of the wearable devices very quickly. To resolve the high energy consumption issue, in this paper, we present EnTrans, which enables transportation mode detection by using only the kinetic energy harvester as an energy-efficient signal source. The proposed idea is based on the intuition that the vibrations experienced by the passenger during traveling with different transportation modes are distinctive. Thus, voltage signal generated by the energy harvesting devices should contain sufficient features to distinguish different transportation modes. We evaluate our system using over 28 hours of data, which is collected by eight individuals using a practical energy harvesting prototype. The evaluation results demonstrate that EnTrans is able to achieve an overall accuracy over 92% in classifying five different modes while saving more than 34% of the system power compared to conventional accelerometer-based approaches. Developing solution-processable red organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with high color purity and efficiency based on multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) is a formidable challenge. Herein, by introducing auxiliary electron donor and acceptor moieties into the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) distributed positions of multiple resonance skeleton simultaneously, an effective strategy to obtain red MR-TADF emitters was represented. The proof-of-the-concept molecule BN-R exhibits a narrowband pure-red emission at 624 nm, with a high luminous efficiency of 94 % and a narrow bandwidth of 46 nm. Notably, the fabricated solution-processable pure-red OLED based on BN-R exhibits a state-of-the-art external quantum efficiency over 20 % with the Commission Internationale de I’Éclairage coordinates of (0.663, 0.337) and a long operational lifetime (LT 50 ) of 1088 hours at an initial luminance of 1000 cd m −2 .

Because of affected by weather conditions, camera pose and range, etc. objects are usually small, blurry, occluded and diverse pose in the images, which are gathered from outdoor surveillance cameras or access control system. It is challenging and important to detect faces precisely for face recognition system in the field of public security. In this paper, we design a context modeling network named Feature Hierarchy Encoder-Decoder Network for face detection (FHEDN), which can detect small, blurry and occluded faces hierarchy by hierarchy from the end to the beginning in a single stage. The proposed network consists of encoder and decoder subnetworks. The encoder subnetwork constructs a multi-scale feature hierarchy pyramid through VGG-16 as backbone network. The decoder subnetwork models context semantic information around face and fuses it into the feature hierarchy for face detection. In addition, we analyze the influence of distribution of training set, scale of feature hierarchy and receipt field size on the detection performance in implement stage. The experiments demonstrate that our network achieves the promising performance on AFW, PASCAL FACE, WIDER FACE and FDDB benchmarks.

τ-FPL: Tolerance-constrained learning in linear time

Learning a classifier with control on the false-positive rate plays a critical role in many machine learning applications. Existing approaches either introduce prior knowledge dependent label cost or tune parameters based on traditional classifiers, which lack consistency in methodology because they do not strictly adhere to the false-positive rate constraint. In this paper, we propose a novel scoring-thresholding approach, τ -False Positive Learning (τ - FPL) to address this problem. We show the scoring problem which takes the false-positive rate tolerance into accounts can be efficiently solved in linear time, also an out-of-bootstrap thresholding method can transform the learned ranking function into a low false-positive classifier. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results show superior performance of the proposed τ -FPL over existing approaches. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The communities that embraced data archiving efforts decades ago are now, in the era of data-driven biology, those gaining the most from the AI revolution. The structural biology community was a pioneer in this regard by establishing the Protein data Bank (PDB) in 1971 and making data accessible using the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles even before these were articulated [1, 2]. The genomics/bioinformatics community has followed the example, establishing many widely used databases [3, 4]. By contrast, molecular simulation has been anchored in usage paradigms dating back to the seventies, when molecular dynamics (MD) simulation was first applied to study biomacromolecules [5]. At that time, MD was used by theoretical physicists and chemists in "proof of concept" simulations. Still, fifty years later, MD has evolved into a cornerstone molecular biology technique that can provide accurate quantitative analysis and property prediction. MD is now employed by tens of thousands of researchers worldwide, accounting for roughly 15% of global supercomputer usage. Unfortunately, these rich and costly data are not systematically maintained, and when further analyses are required, simulations have to be rerun-an unacceptable situation from scientific, environmental and sustainability standpoints. In this letter, we argue for a collaborative endeavor to archive MD simulation data and describe ongoing efforts to establish cost-effective and sustainable data archiving strategies. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

Cloud computing security issues become increasingly serious. Trust is a trust relationship entity acts in accordance with its past experience and interactions built up, may be direct or indirect interaction through a third party recommended interactions. User behavior trust evaluation using AHP, access to users by collecting historical behavior information behavior trust evidence, according to the characteristics of trust evidence will be divided into different trust property among the recalculation by users through analytic hierarchy process and the relative weight of each trust property behavior trust value. Combined with IPv6 protocol, the use of IPv6 extension headers, will assess the value placed header, transmission and validation, so that the program is practical.

Digital watermarking technology is of great importance to protect the copyright of the owners and authenticate the security of the media. As digital images are vulnerable to some common attacks during transmission, it is very necessary to design a watermarking algorithm which can resist all kinds of common attacks. Nowadays, most of the watermarking algorithms published rely much on the locations of the pixels for watermark embedding, which results in less robustness. And some algorithms took some measures to increase the ability to resist attacks, but the measures taken limited the algorithm in watermark embedding capacity. In this paper, a robust watermarking algorithm based on convolution neural network (CNN) is proposed. We introduce discrete wavelet transform (DWT) technology and singular value decomposition (SVD) technology, to achieve the embedding process of watermark. The network is established in the spatial domain based on the pixels' relationships of watermark, host image and watermarked image. After that, The pixels of the watermarked image are lightly modified with the network. In addition, some attacks are taken to the watermarked image. Simulation shows that proposed algorithm has good performance, the watermark extracted can be clearly identified.

Multi-join query optimization is an important technique for designing and implementing database manage system. It is a crucial factor that affects the capability of database. This paper proposes a new algorithm to solve the problem of multi-join query optimization based on parallel ant colony optimization. In this paper, details of the algorithm used to solve multi-join query optimization problem have been interpreted, including how to define heuristic information, how to implement local pheromone update and global pheromone update and how to design state transition rule. After repeated iteration, a reasonable solution is obtained. Compared with genetic algorithm, the simulation result indicates that parallel ant colony optimization is more effective and efficient.

Digital texts have become an increasingly important source of data for social studies. However, textual data from open platforms are vulnerable to manipulation (e.g., censorship and information inflation), often leading to bias in subsequent empirical analysis. This paper investigates the problem of data distortion in text classification when controlling type I error (a relevant textual message is classified as irrelevant) is the priority. The default classical classification paradigm that minimizes the overall classification error can yield an undesirably large type I error, and data distortion exacerbates this situation. As a solution, we propose the Neyman-Pearson (NP) classification paradigm which minimizes type II error under a user-specified type I error constraint. Theoretically, we show that while the classical oracle (i.e., optimal classifier) cannot be recovered under unknown data distortion even if one has the entire post-distortion population, the NP oracle is unaffected by data distortion and can be recovered under the same condition. Empirically, we illustrate the advantage of NP classification methods in a case study that classifies posts about strikes and corruption published on a leading Chinese blogging platform. In order to solve the drawback of SNM algorithm,which leads to inefficiency in detecting precision on approximately duplicate records when multiple sources need to be integrated,the improved SNM algorithm based on the variety of edit distance and the variable window is proposed in this *** to the record pattern of edit distance and the size of edit distance,the approximately duplicate records of data are deleted to reduce the number of *** we put forward the mechanism of variable window to solve the *** results show that this algorithm can effectively solve the problem that the window is too big or too small to *** experiment shows that the improved SNM algorithm can solve many problems in the integration of multi-source,and it has obvious advantages in ensuring precision and boosting efficiency.
