This research study intends to develop a comprehensive mobile application poised to transform agricultural practices by enabling accurate identification of leaf, disease, and pest damage in plants. By analyzing the capabilities of modern smartphone technology, the application will leverage the device's camera for users to capture images of affected plants. Anchored by an extensive database, featuring a diverse collection of crop and plant images, meticulously curated to showcase various symptoms induced by pests, our application ensures thorough analysis. Advanced algorithms for object detection, image classification, and pattern recognition will be employed to provide precise identification and analysis of user inputs. Additionally, pattern matching algorithms will enable the detection of exact matches within existing patterns. By providing farmers and agricultural professionals with a powerful tool for prompt and reliable identification of plant issues, our application aims to significantly enhance pest management and crop preservation efforts. Our proposed method includes the utilization of 11 features calculated with the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) for precise detection, augmenting the accuracy of our system. Additionally, we integrate hybrid Convolutional Autoencoder (CAE) and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models such as ResNetV2 and CNNIR-OWELM, enabling precise identification of plant damage and pest infestation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of our solution in aiding farmers and agricultural professionals. © 2024 IEEE.

Semantic Tree Based PPDP Technique for Multiple Sensitive Attributes in Inter Cloud

Digital devices and information systems have made data privacy essential. The collected data contains sensitive attributes such as salary, marital status and health history that need to be protected. Such data is exchanged or published to a third party using cloud infrastructure to perform various analyses, conduct research, and make critical decisions. Unauthorized users of the published data may violate privacy, notwithstanding the benefits. Data anonymization is one of the technique for achieving data privacy. Existing techniques consider single sensitive attribute and data is anonymized using generalization or suppression approaches. On observation, it is found that these techniques are less efficient since the collected data contains multiple sensitive attributes when anonymized using the same approaches leads to higher information loss and residue records. In this paper, multiple sensitive attributes are considered and the dataset is anonymized by constructing a semantic hierarchical tree it is further partitioned using the anatomy approach. Later, the partitions are stored in interclouds to achieve better privacy protection. Experiments are conducted to observe and analyze the computational performance, residue records and diversity percentage. The results obtained prove that the proposed technique is efficient when compared to the existing ones. © The Author(s) 2024.

Counteracting New Attacks in CPS: A Few-Shot Class-Incremental Adaptation Strategy for Intrusion Detection System

The deep integration of physical devices and communication networks has increased the security risks of cyber-physical systems (CPSs) compared to traditional control systems. Deep learning-based intrusion detection systems (IDSs) play a crucial role in ensuring CPSs security. However, the existing IDSs often rely on known attack features, rendering them unable to withstand emerging new attacks arising from the dynamic evolution of intrusion behaviors. This paper aims to develop an IDSs with high adaptability and strong generalization capabilities, which is capable of rapidly adapting to new attack classes with only a few new samples. To achieve this objective, we propose CAT-IDS, a few-shot class-incremental adaptation strategy for an IDS to counteract new attacks on CPSs. We design a highly symmetric classifier structure for CAT-IDS that can flexibly adjust the classification space to adapt to new attacks. Furthermore, we calibrate the biased distribution formed by a few training samples through statistical feature transfer. In order to prevent the model from forgetting old attack information during the adaptation process, we devise hybrid features for attack detection. These features contain essential information for both old and new class classifications. We demonstrate the effectiveness of CAT-IDS through multiple experiments on three CPSs datasets. The results show that CAT-IDS achieves an average accuracy improvement of approximately 4. 5% compared to the state-of-the-art methods, demonstrating its superior ability to adapt to new attacks while maintaining high performance in classifying existing attacks. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Heart attack is a catch-all term for a variety of conditions affecting the heart. Analysis of large amounts of data and comparisons between them are essential for the prediction, prevention, and management of cardiovascular illnesses including heart attacks. This paper aims to develop an Intelligent System using various ML techniques such as Naive Bayes, KNN, Random Forest and Decision Tree. Users of this web-based software will answer a prepared series of questions. Data analytics is crucial for organizing, analyzing, and controlling large data sets. It has shown beneficial in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. With this in mind, we want to apply SVM- and GA-based data analytics to the challenge of identifying cardiac problems. A comparison of these algorithms’ prediction models indicates which one is the most developed. It may aid physicians in making more educated diagnoses of heart illness than would have been possible with older, more traditional methods of decision assistance. The ternary logic has a benefit over the binary logic which provides a secured solution to achieve a trade-off between the area and power of the design. However, from the structure of the ternary Aritmetic Logic Unit (ALU), it is clear that its architecture increases the area, propagation delay, and power consumption. To overcome this drawback, a loopback algorithm is proposed to achieve low power and high throughput Internet of Things (IoT) processors. The loopback algorithm reduces the number of processing stages in multipliers and adders which can significantly reduce area and power dissipation. The proposed 2:1 multiplexer-based approach reduces the need for a decoder and results in low power consumption. The proposed design will be implemented in Xilinx ISE 13.0 and simulation will be done in Modelsim. The modified Ternary ALU (TALU) performs finer than the previous TALU method. The number of registers used in this architecture is reduced by up to 25% than the existing system therefore there is a reduction in power dissipation. © (2024), (International Hellenic University - School of Science). There is an immediate requirement for a strategic semantically inclined, semantic web accommodating framework for disaster tweet classification and disaster document and newsfeed documents recommendation to perform disaster risk mitigation and management. This framework proposes an IDTCKS framework for disaster management as a domain of choice, wherein an agent-driven model for integrating auxiliary knowledge from several news and Twitter APIs is encompassed. Subsequently, the TF-IDF discovers informative terms from the documents. The frameworks encompass two distinct classifiers, namely the AdaBoost Classifier to classify the disaster tweets using the upper ontology for the disaster domain as the features and upper ontology is considered by using the LDA to the enriched disaster terms. Subsequently, the upper ontology and the LDA-enriched disaster terms are also used as a feature-driven logistic regression classifier that helps in classifying the dataset. Semantic relevance is achieved using Twitter Semantic Similarity and Horn’s Index with a threshold and step deviance measure and overall precision of 97.39, an accuracy of 98.24, and a very low False Negative Rate of 0.01 has been achieved by the IDTCKS model for disaster classification while an overall precision of 96.57, accuracy of 97.65, and a very low False Negative Rate of 0.02 has been achieved by the IDTCKS model for document classification, which performs much better than other baseline models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Purpose: Foot and ankle pathologies are among the most prevalent conditions within the human locomotor system. Imaging examinations are crucial for diagnosing, treating, and achieving satisfactory functional outcomes for these conditions. However, conventional imaging exams often fail to capture all the necessary details for precise analysis, necessitating the use of multiple imaging modalities to evaluate bones, ligaments, cartilage, and other structures. Objective: This research aims to explore computational technologies and algorithms for 3D reconstruction and fusion of foot and ankle images, alongside the analysis, segmentation, classification, and evaluation techniques applied to these images. Methods: The study investigates different computational approaches for 3D reconstruction and multimodal image fusion, integrating X-ray and MRI data. Advanced segmentation and classification techniques are applied to enhance the precision of structural assessment. Additionally, we assess the availability and quality of databases for training and validating these models. Results: Our findings highlight a significant gap in research concerning these specific applications, as well as a shortage of suitable databases for 3D reconstruction and fusion of images from X-rays and MRI. Conclusion: The study emphasizes the need for dedicated datasets and further research to develop effective computational solutions for multimodal foot and ankle imaging. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to The Brazilian Society of Biomedical engineering 2025.

PBCounter:weighted model counting on pseudo-boolean formulas
