Solar arrays are the main source of energy to on-orbit satellite. Their output power determines the use value in a great extent. Therefore, it is of great important reference value in the areas of satellite design and on-orbit satellite control to study the attenuation model of output power, to dynamically update the model based on the real-time data of output power, and to forecast the output power. This paper summarizes the influencing factors of attenuation about solar arrays output power, elaborates on the factors' trend with time and their effect on output power, and further describes the empirical model about output power varying with time. Next, it puts forward an algorithm of particle filter dynamic prediction based on the empirical model and historical data. By using the algorithm, model parameter updating and output power real-time prediction can be carried out. Finally, using six years data of solar arrays' voltage and current from a synchronous satellite in orbit, the validity of empirical model about solar arrays output power varying with time was verified based on curve fitting. Besides, the reliability and accuracy of the dynamic prediction method based on particle filter in model parameters updating and output power real-time prediction were also proved out.

Spread spectrum communication technology, compared with the conventional communication technology, has many characteristics, such as a low interception rate, strong anti-noise performance, noise immunity, information hiding and multiple access communication. Widely used in military communication and civil communication at present, it is the core technology in the third generation mobile communication standards and has become one of the three high-tech communication transmission modes to enter the information age. The communication system of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) is most common in the spread spectrum communication technology, and this type of system was studied in this research. FPGA is one of hot research topics on hardware design. It has been widely used in the algorithm implementation and product prototype verification due to its rich logical unit, high integration, flexible configuration and many other advantages. Design and implementation on digital communication system with a more complex function have become reality on the hardware platform of FPGA with the considerable development of modern microelectronics especially in recent years. The research studied the various parts of key technologies, introduced the various algorithms of the most critical synchronization technologies (including pseudo-code acquisition, pseudo-code tracking, and carrier synchronization) in system in detail and gave their simulation results by establishing a complete simulation system for Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum. © 2013 IFSA Publishing. The fingerprint ridge structure can be directly generated from its following features: the position of minutiae, the orientation field and the ridge frequency map. It was once believed that minutiae template does not reveal sufficient information of the orientation field and ridge frequency map to allow the reconstruction of the original fingerprint image. This belief has now been shown to be false; several algorithms have been proposed to generate the fingerprint ridge structure with uniform ridge frequency by reconstructing the orientation field from minutiae template. However, these reconstruction techniques assume equal ridge frequency in the whole foreground, which results in generating spurious minutiae along the changes of ridge curvature. In this paper, a novel algorithm for reconstructing the ridge frequency map from the minutiae template is proposed to complete the last piece of features required for the reconstruction of fingerprints. The change of local ridge frequency can be perfectly modeled by the minutiae and the divergence of the vectorial orientation field. The reconstructed ridge frequency map has been evaluated to be highly correlated to the ridge frequency map estimated from the original fingerprint images.

The power frequency in 50Hz and its harmonic interference is one of the main noise sources during the acquisition process of surface electromyogram signals (SEMG), how to restrain interference power frequency and its harmonics effectively is one of the important issues on the EMG preprocessing. In this paper, we will determine the power frequency interference and its frequency of the harmonic through the signal acquisition, make the cross-correlation by the constructor and the collected data, and determine its magnitude. We can draw a conclusion that this method can effectively restrain power frequency interference of EMG during the acquisition process through the comparison of the power spectrum of de-noising before and after. The Experiments show that this method can effectively separate the power frequency interference during the acquisition process, and is suitable for the real-time processing of EMG. © 2013 SERSC.

This paper focused on the vehicle control strategy for electric variable transmission in hybrid electric vehicle. The operation modes of hybrid electric vehicle based on electric variable transmission were analyzed, and the vehicle control strategy based on the logic thresholds was proposed, according to the power requirement, current vehicle speed, and SOC of battery. Then, the simulation model of hybrid electric vehicle based on electric variable transmission was built, and the simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

On the basis of the motor controller dedicated for electric vehicle, the vehicle realizes automatic transmission, through development of the automatic shift controller. The function of gear-selection and gear-shifting is implemented through air cylinder and shifting fork driven by electromagnetic valve. The MCU detects the vehicle speed, the motor rotating speed, the gear position, the accelerator position and the motor current, adjusts the motor rotating speed and controls the electromagnetic valves. The algorithm of speed tracking adjusts the motor speed accurately and rapidly, and provides guarantee for the dynamic shift. According to vehicle and motor running status, the two-parameter shift schedule combined with the current parameter, improves the motor efficiency and makes the shifting process more smoothly.

An image segmentation algorithm based on 3-D maximum between-cluster variance

A new method of image segmentation based on 3-D maximum between-cluster variance is proposed. The method uses gray distribution information, neighborhood related information and gradient structure information of pixels to construct 3-D observation space. Based on the complementation, competition and redundancy of all information, this algorithm improves the accuracy of segmentation. By applying the segmentation, predator prey particle swarm optimization (PPPSO) is used to search for the best threshold, which can reduce the searching time, and converge to global optimum rapidly. Theoretical analysis and experiment results show the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of segmentation accuracy, computation efficiency and robustness. © 2013 Binary Information Press.

Photovoltaic cells, as the primary part of a solar photovoltaic system, are a nonlinear DC power supply related to multiple parameters. The demand of increasing the generating efficiency of photovoltaic cells requires having a good understanding of their electrical characteristics. In this study, the mathematical and physical model of the photovoltaic cells was built by the means of Matlab and Simulink based on the internal principles and equivalent circuits of the photovoltaic cells. After the simulation of such practical and versatile model, it's found that the nonlinear P-V and I-V characteristics of the photovoltaic cells, with the change of sunlight intensity and temperature, could be accurately reflected by this high simulation precision model. Furthermore, the Maximum Power Point Tracking method was proposed using the logical formula dP/dI=0 of the maximum power point of photovoltaic cells. This method can simply and fast implement the tracking for the maximum power point. © 2013 IFSA.
