In modern industrial automation, one of the most frequent control systems in process industries is cascade control. If, in addition to the main process variable, additional system variables are measured and given back as secondary process variables, generating subordinate control loops, a cascade control system can be constructed. The integrated cascade control system based on Logix 5571 was developed to resolve the problem of nonlinear and more time delays in chemical process. Steam pressure, steam temperature, air/fuel ratio, drum level, and drum flow are all sensitive to variations in working conditions when considering the primary variables of the continuous chemical process. A temperature process is master control and a steam flow process is slave control have become so integrated. This paper used the velocity form algorithm in PID to optimize the values and design a cascade enhanced proportional integral derivative controller (PIDE) to solve the large time delay in chemical processes. The real-time monitoring, a process parameter actual values and configure I\O tag to Human Machine Interface (HMI) using a factory talk automation software. The logix structure of cascade control loops is especially important for obtaining quick dynamics and proper behavior in all real-world operating modes. In the field of industrial control, which uses PLC Modbus TCP/IP to communicate between one master station and more slave stations. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to fulfill the philosophy of Industry 4.0, it is necessary to introduce a large number of new topics in schools, which are difficult for students to grasp. The basic problem in teaching is the requirement of interdisciplinarity, where a student of electrical engineering automation must get an overview of mechanical and computer science topics. The skills can be divided into technical - engineering and business-management skills. In addition to hard skills, the need to introduce soft skills into the curriculum cannot be overlooked. The article summarises the necessary competences and gives a brief overview of what is taught in the field of Industry 4.0 at our workplace, together with a short comparison of other institutions.

Memristors have also become one of the most promising research hotspots for solving data storage and computing problems faced in the big data era. As an emerging electronic device, memristor has potentially important applications in information storage and processing. This paper constructs a rod-shaped TiO2-x nanoscale memristor with FTO/TiO2-x/Cu structure, whose reliability is based on the memory behavior and its conversion mechanism. Research progress including materials, preparation methods, resistive switching mechanism and application prospects are described. First, the constituent materials of memristor are introduced, focusing on metal oxides and organic materials such as titanium oxide (TiO2). The choice of these materials is critical to memristor performance and applications. Secondly, the advantages and limitations of the preparation methods are discussed. Then the resistance switching mechanism of memristor was studied in depth, focusing on the generation principle and adjustment mechanism of memristor effect. These include important concepts such as charge migration, Schottky barrier formation and oxygen vacancy drift, which help to understand the electrical properties of memristors. In addition, we explore the prospects of memristors in practical applications. Finally, past and current work in this field is summarized, and the prospects and challenges of memristorrelated research are prospected. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, various methods for processing and analyzing thermographic data have been applied in non-destructive testing to improve the visibility of defects. Representatively, traditional linear dimensionality reduction methods (e.g. principal component analysis) have achieved good results in thermographic data analysis. In this work, a slow feature thermography (SFT) method for non-destructive evaluation of defects in composite materials. Thermographic data can be regarded as a continuous time series generated by an infrared imager at different moments. Slow feature analysis algorithm is subsequently used to extract slow features of the thermal image sequence. Slow features refer to features that are unchanged or slowly changing in time-series data, such as the background of a thermal image. By extracting the slow features of data, the inhomogeneous background, noise and defect features contained in thermal images can be effectively distinguished. Test results on carbon fiber reinforced polymer specimens demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the SFT method. © 2024 IEEE.

Phase retrieval algorithms, such as the Wirtinger Flow (WF) algorithm, are widely used in various fields. As a non-convex optimization algorithm for phase retrieval, WF is commonly employed in the reconstruction of holograms in holographic image projection. These types of algorithms typically involve two stages: an initialization stage and an iterative optimization stage. In the initialization stage, an initial value is provided, and a spectral method is used to calculate an approximate solution as the initial guess. The iterative optimization stage then utilizes the Wirtinger gradient to iteratively compute and converge the initial guess to a nearby real solution, thereby obtaining the global optimal solution. However, due to the random nature of the initial values, the computed results often exhibit significant instability. To address this issue, this paper proposes an approach based on a quadratic distribution for improving the stability of the results. In the initialization stage, the initial value is set as the quadratic distribution initial value. Then, the spectral method is applied again to calculate the initial guess. Since the quadratic distribution initial value is artificially assigned, it enhances the stability of the computed results. To validate this method, the paper applies the quadratic distribution initial value to both the initialization stage of the WF algorithm and the Truncated Amplitude Flow (TAF) algorithm. A comparison is made between the results obtained using random initial value and those obtained using the quadratic distribution initial values. The results demonstrate that compared to random initial values, the quadratic distribution initial values can achieve faster and equally accurate computation results with higher stability. Finally, this method is applied to simulation experiments of in-line digital holography, and the reconstruction results from the experiments further confirm the effectiveness of our approach. © 2023 SPIE.

With the growing demand for image transmission, there is a need for solutions that offer low energy consumption and low latency. In this paper, we present a novel relay-assisted system based on non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and mobile edge computing (MEC). Our proposed system compresses images at the device end, decompresses them at either a relay or a cloud server (CS). The primary objective is to minimize system energy consumption under given task delay constraints. Considering that this is a non-convex optimization problem, we solve it by decomposing it into a continuous subproblem and a discrete subproblem. To solve the continuous subproblem, we convexify it by introducing new parameters and change variables to get the optimal the computing power of devices, relay and CS, sampling rate of devices, transmission power of devices and relay. To solve the discrete subproblem, we propose a cross-entropy (CE) algorithm to obtain the optimal decompression decision and subcarrier allocation decision. Simulation results demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of our algorithm in optimizing total energy consumption compared to the Linear Interactive and General Optimizer (LINGO) and frequency division multiple access (FDMA) methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Airborne radars usually face non-uniform clutter environments, and it is difficult to obtain enough independent and identical distributed (i.i.d.) training samples, which degrades the clutter suppression performance of space time adaptive processing (STAP). To address the problem, a log-determinant sparse rocovery based STAP (LSR-STAP) method is proposed in this paper. Through the sparse recovery theory of low-rank matrices and the prior knowledge of clutter covariance matrices, the corresponding problem is modeled using the log-determinant (LogDet) approximation of the rank function, and the solution of the resulting nonconvex optimization problem is derived in the framework of the symmetric alternating direction method of multipliers (S-ADMM). The simulation results show the superiority of the proposed method over similar algorithms. © 2024 SPIE.

In recent years, activities across countries have increasingly been carried out digitally, with information being shared over networks to boost speed and efficiency. However, this digital transformation poses security threats. Cybercrime has consistently evolved, necessitating improved network security measures to combat digital scams. To maintain security, users are assigned unique identification passwords, which they are instructed to keep secret. Despite this, attackers often manage to steal passwords. To counter these threats, we propose using honeywords, which are decoy passwords created from the existing user password. If an attacker inputs a honeyword, an alert is activated for the administrator. Moreover, we implement IP and location monitoring for users and introduce a approach known as the video click-based CAPTCHA system. This scheme authenticates users by distinguishing between humans and bots, addressing issues in traditional graphic password CAPTCHA schemes. This architecture significantly enhances protection and security of data and applications over online networks. © 2025 IEEE.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)or drones introduced for military applications are gaining popularity in several other fields as well such as security and surveillance,due to their ability to perform repetitive and tedious tasks in hazardous *** increased demand created the requirement for enabling the UAVs to traverse independently through the Three Dimensional(3D)flight environment consisting of various obstacles which have been efficiently addressed by metaheuristics in past ***,not a single optimization algorithms can solve all kind of optimization problem ***,there is dire need to integrate metaheuristic for general *** address this issue,in this paper,a novel reinforcement learning controlled Grey Wolf Optimisation-Archimedes Optimisation Algorithm(QGA)has been exhaustively introduced and exhaustively validated firstly on 22 benchmark functions and then,utilized to obtain the optimum flyable path without collision for UAVs in three dimensional *** performance of the developed QGA has been compared against the various *** simulation experimental results reveal that the QGA algorithm acquire a feasible and effective flyable path more efficiently in complicated environment.

In present days, the recent encroachment in the medicinal field and abnormality detection methodologies mutually by instrumentation also clinical methods has reached to a height in such a way that the clinical physicians are able to give an appropriate warning for the early detection of any disease and cure. This is widely applied in detecting abnormality of vital organs like kidney, heart, liver, gallbladder, etc. In this proposed work, the detection of prominent abnormalities in kidneys using US scanned images is analyzed using segmentation technique for feature extraction. The extracted features are saved *** file in which the significant Max intensity features exceeds threshold value detected as abnormal (cyst, calculi, tumor) image otherwise normal. © 2024 IEEE.
