Present application status of CCD mosaics is introduced the error type which the technology of CCD mosaic produced is analyzed. A model which can analyze influence for overlap error of CCD mosaics to image quality is built. Modulation transfer function (MTF) is used as evaluating indicator which analyzes the influences of overlap error linear error and coplane error. The emulation produced that the three kinds of error influenced the image quality linear error influence is more at one direction with the same deflection angle coplane error influence decrease with the increasing of F number. Overlap error influenced image quality of adjacent of CCD edge and reduction pixel size can decrease the influence.

Metallic gasket seals are widely used in pressure vessels and piping. The failure of sealing systems is mostly caused not by the strength of flanges or bolts but by the leakage of the connections. The topography of sealing surface has a major influence on the leakage of the bolted flange connections. Based on the fraetal geometry theory, the fractal characterization of the sealing surface topography of metallic gaskets was studied. The profile curves of metallic gasket surface under different compressive stresses were measured by the AF-LI type stylus profilometer. The fractal dimension, scale coefficient and characteristic length scale of surface profiles were calculated by structure function method. The influence of the compressive stress on the fractai parameters was also analyzed. It's found that the sealing surfaces of metallic gaskets were fractal, and the fractal dimension and the scale coefficient can be used to characterize the sealing surface topography of metallic gaskets under various compressive stresses. The formulae expressing the relationship between the fractal parameters and the compressive stress were obtained by the regression analysis of the test results. The results are helpful for the study on the sealing performance of metallic gaskets.

Content-based image retrieval represents images as N-dimensional feature vectors. Similar image retrieval is computed over these high dimensional feature vectors. A sequential scan of the feature vectors for a query method is costly for a large number of images when N is high. The search time and search space can be reduced through indexing the data. In this paper we proposed a hierarchical clustering tree for building indices of the image database. Experiment shows that the hierarchical tree has the attribute of quick response time when retrieve image based on the query and also provide a convenient structure for users to browse the database.

This paper considers the optimal tracking control (OTC) problem for bilinear systems affected by sinusoidal disturbances, and gives a successive approximation approach to solve analogous problems for general bilinear systems. For a given bilinear OTC problem, a sequence of linear problems is constructed, and their solutions are shown to converge to the desired solution. By iteratively solving the sequences of two-point boundary value problem, the OTC law is obtained. By comparing the error of quadratic performance indexes, we can obtain an approximate optimal disturbance rejection tracking control law. Simulations indicate the algorithm is efficient.

For improving accuracy of optical flow computation, we propose a new method to compute optical flow from both gray and color information. First, the Gauss filter is used to pre-filter the color image sequence. Then optical flow recovery is based on the method of neighborhood least squares using brightness information. And the weight coefficients of local neighborhood are determined by U and V channels in LUV color space. Finally, the optical flow result is filtered by median filter. The experiment results show that the proposed method produces dense optical flow field and accuracy of the results can also be improved.

A novel approach of signal subspace based improved polynomial roots (SS-IPR) for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation is proposed. The new method uses signal subspace, instead of the original IPR method, to derive the coefficients of the polynomial for DOA estimation. When the number of signals is less compared with the array number, which is the most common situation in application, the computation burden and complexity can be reduced effectively. The theoretical derivation is given to formulate the new algorithm and simulations are conducted to show the validity and effectiveness of our method.

The conventional minimum variance beamformer (MVB) is known to have better resolution and much better interference rejection capability when the array steering vector is accurately known. However, the major problem of the MVB is that it lacks robustness against the unknown array steering vector errors. Therefore, diagonal loading and its extended versions have been a popular approach to improve the robustness of MVB. In this paper, we provide an improved robust MVB (RMVB) algorithm, which has been derived by enforcing a spherical uncertainty set constraint on the array steering vector. The new algorithm has reasonable computation complexity and more numerical stability. Simulation results show that the new algorithm is effective in the presence of array steering vector errors.

By employing Lyapunov functions and Razumikhin techniques, we analyze the uniform boundedness and uniform asymptotic stability for a large class of impulsive neural networks with time-varying delay. Some new criteria are obtained to ensure the uniform boundedness and uniform asymptotic stability of the impulsive neural networks. The results remove the usual assumption that the activation functions f j (ldr) are of bounded, monotonous or differential character. Moreover, the time-varying delay function is not required to be differential. Therefore, the results which are easy to check and apply in practice, extend and improve the earlier publications.
