A new approach in optical burst switching (OBS) networks with QoS support is presented in this paper. In the approach, the data channels of an outgoing link at a core node are divided into multiple groups, with each group corresponding to a service class. The number of data channels in each group is mainly determined by data traffic. In general, a data burst (DB) can be sent on a data channel reserved by its burst head packet (BHP) only in its own group. Upon failing to reserve any bandwidth in its own group, the BHP tries to re-reserve even preempted bandwidth on a data channel in a lower-priority group. A lower-priority BHP can't reserve bandwidth on any data channel in a higher-priority group. In addition, the reasonable relation between the preempting DB length and the preempted DB length is also investigated in this paper.

In this study, experiment set up for engineering students is proposed. The experiment using the proopsed set up consists of the model computer, internal parts for theoretical test, external parts for input/output examination and exclusive assembler. Students try to design a logic circuit and implement the logic circuit on FPGA (field programmable gate array) board using hardware description language (HDL). The test circuits of clock generator, ALU, accumulator, program counter, instruction register, memory, I/O ports, and controller were also designed.

The methods used for analysis and calculation of the different voltage levels in power network are complex and can't direcdy analyze and calculate. According to the network theories of electro circuit, an equivalent circuit of transformer is proposed, which consist of operational amplifier in this paper. An engineering model of transformer is established by means of the voltage controlled voltage and circuit controlled circuit with the ideal operational amplifier, furthermore, the theoretic network equation is obtained from the electro circuit and the simulation analysis is conducted. Results of simulation show that equivalent circuit of transformer can be replaced by the engineering model of transformer, and the network equation of the model meets the equation of transformer. Thus the direct simulation analysis and calculations at different voltage levels can be conducted in the power network.

Fermentation process possesses high non-linear and time difference, and its inherent mechanism is very complex. To carry out further optimizing and control strategy, reasonable model must be gained. There are many critical variables, which are hard to gain in fermentation process. It hold back the effective application of optimal and strategy procedure. Least square support vector machine (LS-SVM) is a kind of extension of support vector machine (SVM). The algorithm of LS-SVM has high precision, fast computing. It is more suitable for predicting online. LS-SVM is presented for modeling of penicillin fermentation process. A model is built by LS-SVM with RBF kernel for mycelial and penicillin. The research result indicates that LS-SVM is an effective method for penicillin ferment process modeling.

On the basis of EST (Equivalent STate hashing) algorithm, this paper researches a kind of test generation algorithm based on search state dominance for combinational circuit. According to the dominance relation of the E-frontier (evaluation frontier), we can prove that this algorithm can terminate unnecessary searching step of test pattern earlier than the EST algorithm through some examples, so this algorithm can reduce the time of test generation. The test patterns calculated can detect faults given through simulation.

Through analyzing the principle of predictive coding, a steganalysis method based on predictive coding is proposed. The predictive coding is based on the relativity between the neighboring pixels. On the contrary, steganograph will destroy the relativity between the neighboring pixels. Through computing and analysing the predictive error of cover image and steg image, it is obtained that steganograph will increase the predictive error. So the predictive error can be used to detect steganograph. The experiment shows that this method has a better ability of steganalysis.

An optical current sensor based on the theory of Fabry-Perot interferometer is reported. Theoretical aspects of FP interferometer and optical sensors are described. A structure of the fixed cross beam with a permanent magnet has been designed and the deflection of the magnet under an electromagnetic field leads to the beam displacement. The length of FP microcavity changes with this displacement and the variation is detected by FBG scanning demodulation. The relationship between the measured current and the output light intensity is established and simulation results are also showed herein.
