The structure-based multi-fault test generation algorithm for combinational circuit

In this paper the structure-based test generation algorithm has been studied for the problem that test patterns are obtained by determined finite faults set in the past. This Algorithm can find out all test patterns one tithe, so faults detection is very convenient. By simulation, the smallest test patterns set can be obtained and faults coverage rate is 100%.

Detection and prevention of Phenylketonuria (PKU) is becoming more and more important. However, the current methods are either imprecise or time-consuming. We propose a biosensor system based on phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) immobilized on an ammonia electrode to measure blood phenylalanine for PKU prevention. The biosensor exhibits good linearity from 10-5000 muM and the response time is only about 2 minutes. It remains stable for at least 5 days and less than 20% drop of the original activity after ten day storage at 4 D, while the service life of the biosensor could be up to 30 days. We also develop an intelligent system to ensure optimal conditions for operation and preservation of the biosensor and to make detection more convenient and reliable. All of these advantages indicate that the newly developed method could be a better one for solving the problems of PKU detection

This paper discussed the working principle of binary channel surface acoustic wave (SAW) lithium niobate piezoelectric chip detecting mustard, established the mathematic model of beat frequency output Δf and the mustard gas density δ. The MEMS craft solved the parameters of the binary channel SAW chip such as its interdigital electrode number was 15∼25 couple, width and spacing were both 25νm, degree of overlapping was 2mm, fundamental frequency was 10∼35MHz, frequency-domain width was 5∼20Hz, and its back pt hot film's. According to TG-DSC thermal analysis, vacuum coating craft was adopted to solve the hybrid sensitive film forming craft parameter of PdPc _0.3PANI_0.7(phthalocyanine palladium _0.3Poiyaniline_0.7). The micro-appearance of sensitive film was analyzed through SEM. The sensor's sensitivity and response characteristic were tested and analyzed: appear linear change, its response time is less than 5min while its recovery time is less than 8min. © 2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper presents the overall design of an industrial vibration transmitter using MEMS capacitive accelerometer. It describes the accelerometer sensor interfacing circuit, rms-to-dc converter, voltage to current loop converter circuit design, calibration procedure, and mounting methods. The industrial vibration transmitter output can be customized to obtain either acceleration or velocity with root mean square (rms) or peak (pk) value signal. The output of the transmitter is a current signal (4-20mA) which is proportional to input acceleration (0-10g rms). The AC coupling circuit for accelerometer sensor interfacing, RMS detector and industrial current loop converter circuit are implemented in a single printed circuit board. The prototype consists of 2 pin top connector for power input (24VDC), current output signal and stainless steel mechanical housing assembly with bottom thread connection for mounting. The loop powered acceleration vibration transmitter is employed for vibration monitoring and control applications.

In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET), the nodes intercommunicate through single-hop and multi-hop paths in a peer-to-peer fashion. Intermediate nodes between two pairs of communication nodes act as routers. Thus the nodes operate both as hosts and routers. The nodes are mobile, so the topology of the network may change rapidly and unexpectedly. One of well-known routing protocol for ad-hoc networks is zone routing protocol (ZRP). However when the protocol searches for a new route, it sends many useless control packets, which increase the network load and decrease the network performance. In this paper, we propose an enhanced zone routing protocol (EZRP). In EZRP, each node calculates the reliability of the route. In the case of reliable route, the source node sends the data packet directly to the destination node using that route without route searching. While, in the case of unreliable route, the source node searches for a new route again. We show that the network performance can be improved by using EZRP.

The high encoding efficiency of H.264 comes from many new video encoding technologies such as adopting variable block size in the process of motion estimation and compensation. But this increases the complexity of H.264 encoder greatly. The high encoding complexity limits the application of H.264 in the domain of real time video encoding. In order to decrease the complexity of H.264 encoder greatly, this paper proposes a fast inter mode selection algorithm to speed up the H.264 encoder. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the complexity of the inter mode decision remarkably while incurring little, if any, loss in quality

This paper presents the design and Finite Element Model (FEM) simulation of a novel electrothermal microactuators and arrays. It is a single material microactuator which deflects at its tips by differential thermal expansion of its constituent parts. The electrothermal actuator consists of three thin arms, three thin blades and two electrical connection pads. The goal of this coupled electrothermal actuator design was to multiply the force by adding the individual contributions of all the three actuators. The difference in magnitude of blade deflections depends on the geometrical characteristics of the actuators. The thermal deformation and thermal stability are easily controllable. The simulation employing ANSYS/Multiphysics software results include force, deflection, thermal stress, ideal electrothermal actuator and array geometries. The main advantage of this electrothermal actuator is large deflection of blades with very low actuation voltage in comparison with electrostatic actuators. A typical application in a micromirror is shown to illustrate the utility of these actuators and arrays. © 2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.
