An 3D measurement scheme by combining Gray code with Trapezoidal phase-shift is presented. The scheme computes the relative intensity ratios in a Trapezoidal phase-shift period using Trapezoidal phase-shift pattern. Combining the Trapezoidal phase-shift with Gray code corresponding to sampling point, and the absolute intensity ratio of sampling point is determined. Then, 3D measurement is realized using projection geometry matrix model. Encoding and decoding principles by combining Gray code with Trapezoidal phase-shift are presented;period dislocation between Gray code and Trapezoidal phase-shift in course of decoding is analyzed, which could be corrected by judging the consistency between Gray code value increasing and phase mutation of adjacent pixels. Finally, simulation and real system were experimented. The experimental results indicate that relative measurement error of simulation system is about 0.0325% and that of real system is less than 4.0329%.

A new frequency offset estimation algorithm for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems was proposed by using a specially designed training symbol. Requiring only one training symbol, this algorithm can efficiently estimate integer frequency offset and fraction frequency offset. The timing synchronization can also be obtained by using the proposed training symbol. Simulation results show that the proposed method not only reduces the number of the training symbols but also improves the accuracy of frequency offset estimation, while comparing with conventional algorithms.

Luminance deficiency of road lighting is one of the primary reasons for night-driving risk. The randomness and uncertainty of accidents caused by luminance deficiency have increased due to vehicle liquidity, and it causes difficult in accident analysing and preventing. In order to ensure lighting safety for night-driving vehicles, according to relevance between lighting intensity and visibility and streetlamp location principle, MATLAB was used to optimize road lighting evenness model. Compared with optimization model analytical data, night luminance of forty-two main roads in Harbin was measured actually by TES-1336A digit luminance acquisition system. The model can effectively design parameters selection of road lighting. The standpoint that luminance evenness is one of the indirect reasons for traffic accident is provided in this paper. Then theoretical basis of streetlamps modification projects for visibility deficiency roads and night-driving accident analyse was established. Copyright ASCE 2007.
