Increasing demand for improved reliability and survivability of mission-critical systems is driving the development of health monitoring and Automated Contingency Management (ACM) systems. An ACM system is expected to adapt autonomously to fault conditions with the goal of still achieving mission objectives by allowing some degradation in system performance within permissible limits. ACM performance depends on supporting technologies like sensors and anomaly detection, diagnostic/prognostic and reasoning algorithms. This paper presents the development of a generic prototype test bench software framework for developing and validating ACM systems for advanced propulsion systems called the Propulsion ACM (PACM) Test Bench. The architecture has been implemented for a Monopropellant Propulsion System (MPS) to demonstrate the validity of the approach. A Simulink model of the MPS has been developed along with a fault injection module. It has been shown that the ACM system is capable of mitigating the failures by searching for an optimal strategy. Furthermore, few relevant experiments have been presented to show proof of concepts. © 2007 EUCA.

In the last few years we have observed an explosive growth of multimedia computing, communication and applications. Information technology (IT) has a great effect in our everyday life and is transforming the way people live, work, and interact with each other, and is impacting the way businesses, government services, education, entertainment, and medical-care are operating. In this research, we propose and develop a remote medical-care system for supporting nurses, care managers and care helpers during their work. The proposed system has three functions: a multi-point communication function using video images and voice, vital signs data auto-uploading and referring function, and a drip infusion monitoring function. In this research, we propose and develop a remote medical-care support system for supporting nurses, care managers and care helpers during their work. In this paper, we present the proposed remote medical-care support system and report the field experiment results using the proposed support system in a medical-care support center. A cognitive automobile is a complex system. It is an indisputable fact that simulations are valuable tools for the development and testing of such complex systems. This paper presents an integrated closed-loop simulation framework which supports the development of a cognitive automobile. The framework aims at simulating complex traffic scenes in inner-city environments. The key features of the simulation are the generation of synthetic data for high level inference mechanisms, providing data for the analysis of car-to-car communication strategies and evaluation of cooperative vehicle behavior.

Research of the test generation algorithm based on search state dominance for combinational circuit

On the basis of EST (Equivalent STate hashing) algorithm, this paper researches a kind of test generation algorithm based on search state dominance for combinational circuit. According to the dominance relation of the E-frontier (evaluation frontier), we can prove that this algorithm can terminate unnecessary searching step of test pattern earlier than the EST algorithm through some examples, so this algorithm can reduce the time of test generation. The test patterns calculated can detect faults given through simulation.

In this paper the structure-based test generation algorithm has been studied for the problem that test patterns are obtained by determined finite faults set in the past. This Algorithm can find out all test patterns one tithe, so faults detection is very convenient. By simulation, the smallest test patterns set can be obtained and faults coverage rate is 100%.
