It proposes a path following control strategy for intelligent vehicles under extreme conditions based on feedback linearization and linear quadratic regulator(LQR).Firstly,the vehicle dynamics model and the vehicle kinematics model are established,and the affine nonlinear vehicle system model under the extreme condition is established by these two ***,the complex nonlinear vehicle system model is linearized using the feedback linearization method to obtain a simpler linear system ***,according to the obtained linear vehicle system model,the LQR method is used to design the tracking controller to obtain the optimal control input,so as to ensure the stability of the system and the optimality of the target,and realize the intelligent vehicle path *** affirm the effectiveness of the tracking method,a series of Carsim/Simulink co-simulation experiments are carried *** results show that the effects of path tracking combined with feedback linearization and LQR are significantly better than the other two methods,thus the path tracking method proposed in the paper is effectively verified.

Deep learning has strong learning ability to extract the features from Image datasets. In recent years, deep networks especially deep convolutional neural networks have revolutionized this field. When exposed to a huge number of datasets and their labels, deep learning techniques like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can produce precise categorization results. However, employing CNNs with scant labeled data might have a number of issues, including the problem of heavy overfitting. Convolutional Neural Networks are the backbone of modern deep learning architectures for the purpose of image classification. We solved image classification problem with different architectures and compare their performances. The objective of this work lies in the approach to study the given datasets. We use domain adaptation approach to highlight the underlying characteristics of these datasets and the different parameters (activation function, weights, regularization, neural simulation etc.) associated with these architectures. In our work, we use three datasets—RS19, UC Merced, and EuroSat images—were utilized in the CNN implementation to training the suggested model. The obtained results effectively demonstrate the local representation capacity of CNNs. Furthermore, this work shows that transfer learning improves classification outcomes in optical remote sensing images, particularly when the training sample is small.

An online trajectory planner permits autonomous unmanned vehicles to maneuver in a changing mission scenario and varying environment. However, in real-time online plannings, task performance, completeness and accuracy is seriously challenged by the latency during mission planning and scheme computation. To address the issue, we propose a latency-correcting online trajectory planner based on successive convex approximation (SCA), which is aiming at offset the latency in the planning. In this work, two types of latency are considered, i.e., a prior known variable and computation, where the latter one poses a problem. With this, we devise an online latency method to predict computing latency by conducting time complexity analysis. The experiment is to design an optimal UAV trajectory to serve the eavesdropping of an uncooperative emitter. The results showed this harmful latency effect, and then demonstrated the improved accuracy and task performance of the proposed planner. © 2022 IEEE.

H-STEP: Heuristic Stable Edge Service Entity Placement for Mobile Virtual Reality Systems

Virtual reality (VR) technology, as a latency-sensitive application, can achieve real-time response to enhance the user's quality of experience (QoE) on edge devices. However, edge servers, unlike internally managed cloud servers, are prone to hardware failures, software abnormalities, and network attacks. Most prior studies have focused on reducing service delay and improving user coverage through service entity (SE) placement, often neglecting the critical impact of edge server malfunctions on user QoE. In this work, we design a stable service entity placement framework that connects users on faulty servers to collaborative edge servers, ensuring seamless task completion. This framework presents two primary challenges: determining the grouping of collaborative edge services and the placement of SEs. To address these challenges, we introduce a heuristic stable service entity placement (H-STEP) scheme. This scheme first determines the grouping of collaborative edge servers using an iterative search algorithm and then places SEs on suitable edge servers via a fast non-dominated sorting genetic placement algorithm. This approach balances stability benefits with total cost, enhancing the system's economic benefits. We theoretically analyze the performance of H-STEP and derive the performance gap between H-STEP and the optimal scheme. Extensive real-data-driven simulations demonstrate that H-STEP's performance closely approximates that of the optimal scheme and surpasses existing schemes. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

In modern industrial automation, one of the most frequent control systems in process industries is cascade control. If, in addition to the main process variable, additional system variables are measured and given back as secondary process variables, generating subordinate control loops, a cascade control system can be constructed. The integrated cascade control system based on Logix 5571 was developed to resolve the problem of nonlinear and more time delays in chemical process. Steam pressure, steam temperature, air/fuel ratio, drum level, and drum flow are all sensitive to variations in working conditions when considering the primary variables of the continuous chemical process. A temperature process is master control and a steam flow process is slave control have become so integrated. This paper used the velocity form algorithm in PID to optimize the values and design a cascade enhanced proportional integral derivative controller (PIDE) to solve the large time delay in chemical processes. The real-time monitoring, a process parameter actual values and configure I\O tag to Human Machine Interface (HMI) using a factory talk automation software. The logix structure of cascade control loops is especially important for obtaining quick dynamics and proper behavior in all real-world operating modes. In the field of industrial control, which uses PLC Modbus TCP/IP to communicate between one master station and more slave stations. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to fulfill the philosophy of Industry 4.0, it is necessary to introduce a large number of new topics in schools, which are difficult for students to grasp. The basic problem in teaching is the requirement of interdisciplinarity, where a student of electrical engineering automation must get an overview of mechanical and computer science topics. The skills can be divided into technical - engineering and business-management skills. In addition to hard skills, the need to introduce soft skills into the curriculum cannot be overlooked. The article summarises the necessary competences and gives a brief overview of what is taught in the field of Industry 4.0 at our workplace, together with a short comparison of other institutions.

In recent years, various methods for processing and analyzing thermographic data have been applied in non-destructive testing to improve the visibility of defects. Representatively, traditional linear dimensionality reduction methods (e.g. principal component analysis) have achieved good results in thermographic data analysis. In this work, a slow feature thermography (SFT) method for non-destructive evaluation of defects in composite materials. Thermographic data can be regarded as a continuous time series generated by an infrared imager at different moments. Slow feature analysis algorithm is subsequently used to extract slow features of the thermal image sequence. Slow features refer to features that are unchanged or slowly changing in time-series data, such as the background of a thermal image. By extracting the slow features of data, the inhomogeneous background, noise and defect features contained in thermal images can be effectively distinguished. Test results on carbon fiber reinforced polymer specimens demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the SFT method. © 2024 IEEE.

Memristors have also become one of the most promising research hotspots for solving data storage and computing problems faced in the big data era. As an emerging electronic device, memristor has potentially important applications in information storage and processing. This paper constructs a rod-shaped TiO2-x nanoscale memristor with FTO/TiO2-x/Cu structure, whose reliability is based on the memory behavior and its conversion mechanism. Research progress including materials, preparation methods, resistive switching mechanism and application prospects are described. First, the constituent materials of memristor are introduced, focusing on metal oxides and organic materials such as titanium oxide (TiO2). The choice of these materials is critical to memristor performance and applications. Secondly, the advantages and limitations of the preparation methods are discussed. Then the resistance switching mechanism of memristor was studied in depth, focusing on the generation principle and adjustment mechanism of memristor effect. These include important concepts such as charge migration, Schottky barrier formation and oxygen vacancy drift, which help to understand the electrical properties of memristors. In addition, we explore the prospects of memristors in practical applications. Finally, past and current work in this field is summarized, and the prospects and challenges of memristorrelated research are prospected. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper focuses on the sliding mode fault-tolerant control (SMFTC) problem for a class of delayed nonlinear systems in presence of actuator fault and nonlinear input. Firstly, the augmented strategy involving system state, actuator fault and external disturbance is constructed, and then the fault-tolerant observer is designed accordingly. An SMFTC law ensuring the asymptotical stability of the reduce-order estimation error is provided subsequently. To further illustrate the system performance, a new sliding function with respect to decomposed signal is constructed and the asymptotically stability of sliding motion is analyzed. Moreover, a novel adaptive-based sliding mode controller is presented to steer the system state onto the sliding manifold. Finally, a verification example is considered to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed SMFTC approach. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, the multi-phase permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) adopts the technology of half turn coil per phase, and the magnetic field generated by a single conductor is equivalent to the magnetic field generated by the multi-turn coil, which can effectively reduce the phase voltage and achieve low-voltage high-current output. In addition, the nine-slot half-turn coil, rectifier bridge arm, and drive control are taken as independent modules, each module is driven separately, which has the characteristics of high reliability and flexible control. Besides, in this paper, modular nine-phase vector control proposes a solution to rectify the current containing tooth harmonics in the generator from the perspective of space vector selection. Based on the theory of multi-phase space vector, the derivation of key parameters of Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) of nine phase rectifier module is carried out. Through simulation, the rectification effect and energy utilization rate of symmetrical nine-phase and asymmetrical nine-phase winding connection modes are verified and compared. Finally, a 54-slot half-turn coil synchronous generator has been designed and developed. Through modular experiments, it was proven that the system can achieve 5V/1000A low-voltage high-current output, with lower harmonic distortion and a higher energy utilization rate.
