In order to study whether the vegetation touching single-phase conductor faults of low voltage distribution lines can lead to hill fires, a 400V low voltage bare conductor simulated tree line fault experimental platform was built. The possibility of vegetation ignition caused by vegetation contact fault in low voltage distribution lines is studied by analyzing the leakage current flowing through vegetation., the temperature rise of vegetation and the traces of carbonization on the surface. The results show that the bamboo with high water content touches the single-phase conductor fault temperature rise obviously., there are obvious charring traces near the fault point in the test., and the maximum temperature reaches 95.3 °C, the maximum leakage current is 180mA., and there is no discharge phenomenon in the test. High water content will limit the maximum temperature near the fault point to be less than the boiling point of water., and the temperature rise will accelerate the loss of water., leading to a decrease in leakage current., and eventually the temperature drop at the fault point gradually stabilizes., indicating that a single-phase conductor fault on a low voltage distribution line with vegetation touching it will not cause a fire. The results of the study are of great significance for the prevention of hill fires on low voltage distribution lines through forested areas.

Cascade voltage transformers (hereinafter referred to as CTV) are widely used in power grids, and a good insulation condition is a prerequisite for their safe and reliable operation. 110kV CTV tan δ can be affected by changes in environmental factors (such as temperature and humidity), and sometimes the tanδ can be abnormal or even fail to reflect the actual state of the equipment. This paper takes a JCC6-110 CTV which has been operated for many years as the research object, and makes a comprehensive and detailed study on the influence of temperature on CTV tanδ, and researches the change of CTV tanδ under different temperature conditions, proposes the CTV insulation equivalent circuit model, obtains tanδ and capacity data through different wiring methods and derives the model parameters, and establishes the insulation equivalent circuit model influenced by temperature factors. The insulation equivalent circuit model with the influence of temperature factors is proposed, and the method of correcting tanδ to the standard atmospheric conditions is proposed. The model was simulated using MATLAB/Simulink software to verify the correctness of the insulation equivalent circuit model considering the effect of temperature on tanδ under fault conditions, and the model can be applied to the conversion and correction of the effect of temperature on CTV tanδ during field testing.

This article investigates an adaptive bipartite consensus tracking control algorithm for a class of heterogeneous nonaffine nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with prescribed finite-time tracking performance under an unbalanced communication topology. In the case of an unbalanced digraph, a novel locally optimal bipartition strategy is proposed to transform the unbalanced communication topology into a structurally balanced one, thereby enabling the implementation of bipartite consensus tracking control. To achieve the expected tracking performance, the design philosophy focuses on developing a prescribed finite-time performance function (PFTPF), capable of preassigning the convergence time and accuracy precisely beforehand. The explored adaptive control algorithm can ensure that the whole signals concerning the closed-loop MASs remain bounded while the bipartite consensus errors converge to a predetermined range around zero within the prescribed finite time. Ultimately, the simulation results on robotic systems prove the availability of the developed design solution. © 2013 IEEE.

Hill fire hazards on transmission and distribution lines due to various factors affect the safe operation of the lines. The current study does not consider the effect of ground capacitance current on fire impedance characteristics under the line. This paper takes 35 kV line under the mountain fire flame impedance characteristics as the test object, build different to ground capacitance of the mountain fire test platform, put forward the mountain fire ground fault theoretical model, through simulated line under the mountain fire test on the flame completely bridged gap order eucalyptus, shrubs and straw flame impedance characteristics of curve fitting, verify the vegetation mountain fire triggered by the line single-phase grounding is a high resistance ground, research and analysis of the vegetation flame impedance characteristics of the impact mechanism. Experimental research shows that the occurrence of mountain fire fault line fault degree and ground capacitance current is positively correlated; flame temperature is one of the main factors affecting flame impedance, flame impedance and flame temperature does not strictly show a negative correlation; different vegetation types triggered by mountain fire flame impedance characteristics vary greatly, arc discharge will seriously weaken the vegetation flame insulation characteristics, flame completely bridged gap stage before and mid-term flame impedance of the main influencing factors are flame temperature and flame height, flame completely bridged gap stage late flame impedance of the main influencing factors into the ash content of vegetation. The study of vegetation flame impedance characteristics can provide technical reference for transmission and distribution lines to prevent line failures caused by hill fires.

Analysis of a New Consequent-Pole Hybrid Excited Machine with Drum Winding

In this paper, a new consequent-pole hybrid excited machine with drum winding (CPHE-DW machine) is proposed for electric vehicles (EVs). The stator tooth, which is divided into the armature and excitation tooth, is designed as the consequent-tooth structure to construct two individual flux paths. The dimension of the armature tooth is slightly larger than the excitation tooth. The drum winding is placed in the stator, which can be regarded as both the armature and excitation winding. Accordingly, the current input into the drum winding can be divided into the AC and DC component, in which the air-gap flux is regulated by the DC component. The U-type permanent magnets (PMs) are housed in the consequent-pole rotor with the sequence of PM-iron-PM-iron. Owing to the consequent-pole and consequent-tooth structure, a particular electromagnetic coupling effect can be achieved. The operating principle of the electromagnetic coupling effect is studied by several analytical models. The main flux paths of this proposed machine are introduced. Several main electromagnetic properties are predicted by the finite element (FE) method. Finally, a prototype of the CPHE-DW machine is manufactured to validate the correctness of the FE-predictions and the analytical analysis. © 2025 IEEE.

A novel adaptive prescribed performance control method for the n-DOF robotic manipulators is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a normalization constraining function g is designed for state transformation and constructing a new system model. The risk of singularity problems can be reduced by adjusting the parameters of function g. Then, an adaptive prescribed performance controller is developed based on the constructed system model, which allows the initial joint positions of the manipulator to be arbitrary, and can guarantee that the tracking error reaches the desired accuracy within the preset time TP. Meanwhile, different velocity constraints can be individually imposed on each joint. In addition, an adaptive law is designed to estimate the lumped uncertainty in the system and compensate for its negative influence, which improves the control performance. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulations and experiments on a 4-DOF manipulator. © 2024 IEEE.

The rack-and-pinion is a crucial driving mechanism in the rack railway, especially when climbing slopes. As an open transmission system with low speed and heavy load, it is prone to failures primarily caused by tooth surface wear. Therefore, it is essential to understand wear characteristics of the tooth surface to ensure the safety and the service life of the rack railway. In this paper, a prediction model for tooth surface wear (TSW) of the rack-and-pinion driving mechanism in the rack railway under mixed elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) is established. The meshing parameters of the rack-and-pinion are calculated. Then the contact pressure of the asperity is calculated according to Hertz's elastic contact theory and load sharing concept. The sliding distance at the contact point is achieved by single point observation method. Taking into account the effects of lubrication state, surface roughness, and contact temperature on the tooth surface, a wear model for the rack-and-pinion under mixed EHL is established, and the wear characteristics of the driving pinion are studied. Effects of working parameters, surface roughness and geometrical parameters on the wear depth of the driving pinion are further investigated. The findings of this study can be used as a basis for predicting the wear of the rack-and-pinion under mixed EHL and optimizing the design of the rack-and-pinion driving mechanism in the rack railway. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Although some fruits have a fixed shape, but the growth process, the shape will still be different, different fruit shape has a certain impact on the subsequent fruit classification and selection. In order to realize fruit shape classification quickly and accurately, a novel fruit shape classification method based on level set and broad learning system(BLS) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, fruit shape information is extracted based on level set, then fruit image information is extracted based on BLS, and finally, shape information and fruit information are fused to carry out fruit shape classification research. The method was applied to the classification of the fruit shape, and the experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

The study focuses on the reliability and lifespan of Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), which play a vital role in renewable energy power generation systems. To assess the performance of IGBT-based power devices, a power cycle test platform is developed. This platform incorporates a single-phase inverter bridge circuit with Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) control technology. By simulating real-world operating conditions across various application scenarios, the platform provides evaluation parameters of IGBTs' thermal characteristics and lifespan, offering data models to analyze their service life. The research covers multiple aspects, including the design of main circuit parameters, current closed-loop control design and hardware circuit test. Additionally, a semi-physical simulation platform is designed to validate the research findings by reproducing working conditions and measuring the junction temperature. © 2023 IEEE.

This is a prototype product jointly designed and manufactured by chengdu Technological university and chengdu China nuclear Haichuan nuclear technology Co., Ltd., etc. which is used for on-site remote acquisition, processing and storage of seismic signal data. This paper introduces the specific design, mathematical algorithm and functional components of the prototype product to support the signal processing of common seismic acceleration sensors. The function and performance demonstration of the prototype product has been successfully carried out in the laboratory. Its design features are technologies that adapt to the current actual needs described in this document. Therefore, many of its functions may be beneficial to the development and application of other similar products. It is expected that the seismic acceleration recorder will serve as a development centre to promote and strengthen the further development of upstream and downstream related technologies. © 2024 IEEE.
