The variability in image modalities presents significant challenges in medical image classification, as traditional deep learning models often struggle to adapt to different image types, leading to suboptimal performance across diverse datasets. This is critical in the diagnosis of conditions like cataracts and cancers, where imaging data spans various modalities, including visible eye images for cataracts and histopathological images for cancers among others. Cataracts, a leading cause of blindness, and lung and breast cancers, major contributors to cancer-related deaths, require early detection for effective intervention. However, many existing models fall short in handling modality differences, limiting their performance. To address this, we propose ResoMergeNet (RMN), designed to handle multi-modal medical image classification. RMN integrates transfer learning and advanced techniques – the ResBoost framework and ConvMergeNet, enabling the model to effectively extract relevant features from both visible eye images and histopathological images. The model's architecture emphasizes both global and local feature extraction while minimizing the influence of irrelevant data, thus improving classification performance across modalities. Evaluated on the cataract dataset (binary classification), RMN achieved an accuracy of 99.17 %. For lung cancer (3-class classification), it attained 100 % accuracy, while on the BreakHis (8-class classification) dataset, RMN reached 99.24 % accuracy at 100× magnification and 98.28 % at 200× magnification. These results demonstrate RMN's robustness and adaptability to varying image modalities, highlighting its potential as a reliable diagnostic tool in medical settings. Through its versatility, RMN offers a promising solution for improving early diagnosis and healthcare outcomes in the fight against cataracts, lung, and breast cancers. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The (TiVZrCrAl)N high-entropy alloy nitride coatings were prepared on Zr-4 alloy substrates by reactive magnetron sputtering with different N2/Ar pressure ratio Ⅰ values. The microstructure, nanohardness, high-temperature corrosion and steam oxidation resistance properties of the coatings were investigated. The results showed that the thickness of the coating first decreased and then increased with decreasing N2/Ar pressure ratio, but the hardness first increased and then decreased. All the coatings exhibited face-centered cubic (FCC) structures. When I = 1/12, the (TiVZrCrAl)N coating had excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance and steam oxidation performance. The high-temperature steam oxidation mechanisms of the (TiVZrCrAl)N coatings were analyzed in detail. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In order to alleviate the energy crisis and improve environmental quality, rational use of renewable energy has become a development trend. This paper proposes a research on the new energy micro-grid operation strategy, and selects the appropriate power generation method according to the development status of each distributed energy in the microgrid. Specially establish the biomass power generation, photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation and storage battery models of the micro-grid, and infer the power generation output characteristics according to the power generation characteristics of each module. A brief analysis of the micro-grid model containing biomass power generation established in the article is carried out, and the basic operation strategy of the micro-grid is proposed, which provides a theoretical basis for the development of the micro-grid in the future. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, BP neural network model is used to study and analyse the teaching reform of signal and system course. Referring to the structure of BP neural network, the quality evaluation index system of signal and system course is established. On this basis, the factors influencing students' examination results are predicted, and the questionnaire is designed and BP neural network is used for prediction. The mean square deviation of the result is 0.7788. Through the correlation coefficient analysis of the data obtained, we can get the major factors that affect students' final scores. In view of this, the paper puts forward the direction and specific measures of teaching reform of this course. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

nuclear professional English course can help students of nuclear energy engineering major to understand the corresponding course content accurately and effectively while learning and researching frontier topics. This course has an important guiding role for their future development. This experiment obtained a series of data from students who had completed the course by questionnaire survey, and logistic regression algorithm was used to analyse the influencing factors of professional English test, then obtained the P value. The significant relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable can be seen from the P value, thus reflecting the problems existing in the current course. The odds ratio (OR value) value of 0.030 is the biggest influence on the passing rate of the examination factor. In the questionnaire survey on the distribution of students' intention, 96.25% of the students hope to have a new teaching mode, while 38.10% of the students do not take the initiative to read English books. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese colleges and universities have online courses all over the country, but there is no definitive model for evaluating the effect of online course education. In addition, most domestic universities analyze the factors that affect online courses from a qualitative perspective, and there are fewer reasonable mathematical models. This paper uses the Logistic model to establish a multiple model between college students' online course learning conditions and various influencing factors, and uses a questionnaire survey to analyze the learning status of chengdu university of technology students who have taken online courses during the epidemic. Comparison of forecasts. Soil acidification poses a substantial threat to agricultural productivity by releasing salt ions, diminishing soil fertility, and increasing susceptibility to aluminum toxicity. The aim of the study was to investigate the potential improvement of acid yellow soil through the combined application of basalt powder, lime, and polyacrylamide (PAM). Herein, 0.1 g mixed basalt powder and CaO with various proportion were added to 10 g acidic yellow soil with an initial pH of 4.16. XRF analysis of basalt powder revealed its effectiveness in supplementing soil mineral nutrients. The optimal results of reduced acidification and ion leaching of soil were obtained when the addition proportion of basalt powder to lime was 8:2 and addition ratio of PAM was 0.0002%. The addition of mixed amendments markedly increased the pH (by up to >2.0 units) and acid-damage capacity (20.3mmol/kg) of soil, meanwhile decreased the leaching of K+(58.1%), Na+(42.9%), Mg2+(26.3%), and Al3+ (below the detectable limit) as shown by the optimal test. The basalt powder undergoes decomposition in the soil solution, resulting in the formation of some weak acids (i.e., H2SiO4), the release of OH-, and an increase in soil pH. The study reveals the underlying mechanisms of soil remediation with mixed amendment, which has potential guidance for the application of mixed soil amendment and the prediction of the environment risks of the contaminated soil. © 2024, The Authors. The evolution of helium bubbles in purity Mo was investigated by in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)during 30 keV He^(+)irradiation(at 673 K and 1173 K)and post-irradiation annealing(after 30 keV He^(+)irradiation with the fluence of 5.74×10^(16)He^(+)/cm^(2)at 673 K).Both He^(+)irradiation and subsequently annealing induced the initiation,aggregation,and growth of helium *** had a significant effect on the initiation and evolution of helium *** higher the irradiation temperature was,the larger the bubble size at the same irradiation fluence would *** 1173 K irradiation,helium bubbles nucleated and grew preferentially at grain boundaries and showed super large size,which would induce the formation of *** the same time,the geometry of helium bubbles changed from sphericity to *** polyhedral bubbles preferred to grow in the shape bounded by{100}*** statistical analysis of the characteristic parameters of helium bubbles,the functions between the average size,number density of helium bubbles,swelling rate and irradiation damage were ***,an empirical formula for calculating the size of helium bubbles during the annealing was also provided.

The safety of multiple unmanned aerial vehicle (multi-UAV) systems threatened by enemy missiles is crucial for their effective formation control. In this paper, a distributed safety control strategy is developed that enables multi-UAV systems to execute formation tasks while avoiding enemy missiles. The proposed method considers enemy missiles as dynamic constraints on the multi-UAV system and is adaptable to changes in the number of UAVs. By ensuring each UAV remains within a defined safe set, the system can avoid incoming missiles while maximizing operational freedom for each UAV. The control strategy utilizes the backstepping control technique, making the computational process relatively inexpensive. Simulation results validate the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed method in continuously changing threat environments. Our approach offers a promising solution for achieving safe and efficient multi-UAV cooperative operations in hostile environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
