Consensus of Linear Multi-agent systems with Pure Relative Output Through Fully Distributed Reduced-Order Protocols

This paper considers fully distributed adaptive control for linear multi-agent systems with pure relative output information only. Two reduced-order protocols, namely, an edge-based protocol and a node-based protocol, are derived. For the edge-based protocol, each edge is adapted by a coupling weight which depends only on relative output information of the associated two agents, while the coupling weight in the node-based protocol is based on the relative output information of all neighboring agents. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the consensus problem under the two protocols are derived. Compared with most of the existing related protocols, the main merits of the protocols are that only relative output information is needed, which helps reduce the communication burdens and protect the multi-agent systems from network attacks, and that the protocols are fully distributed. A simulation example is finally presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocols.

Two sparse adaptive filtering (AF) algorithms based on Andrew's sine estimator (ASE) are presented to achieve improved performance for identifying sparse systems, where the ASE is derived within the least-square framework. Furthermore, zero-attracting (ZA) scheme is used in ASE to construct ZA-ASE and its re-weighting form (RZA-ASE) to combat non-Gaussian noises and use the sparse characteristics of the system. Their performance is investigated via simulations and compared with the least-mean square (LMS) and the maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) algorithms to show their superior performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Marine ship recognition has always been an important research field. The ships can be usually recognized by analyzing their attribute characteristics. However, in the actual process of recognition, many ship recognition methods using a single model cannot meet the requirements of this task due to the complexity of ship types, diversity of interference factors and different information obtained from distance differences. Therefore, we propose a multi-stage ship recognition scheme. First, the single radiation emitter feature recognition network model is designed for long-distance recognition. Second, the fusion feature network model for short distance recognition. The proposed network is mainly constructed with the residual units, which not only simplify the training of deep networks and facilitate the spread of information, but also can solve the vanishing gradient and exploding gradient problem. The simulation experimental results show that the proposed network model has better performance than typical methods and has great potential in applications.

Identifying influential nodes is a recognized challenge for the tremendous number of nodes in complex networks. Most of proposed methods detect the influential nodes based on their degree or topological location, which only consider the local or global information of the network causing inaccuracy. In this paper, we propose a k-orders entropy-based method to identify influential nodes. The influence of node is determined by its entropy with local and global information. The entropy reflecting local information is measured by the different order neighbors' information of nodes while the entropy reflecting global information by the betweenness centrality. The experiments conducted on real-world networks demonstrate the proposed method is more accurate than other methods. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

State-of-charge (SoC) balancing is crucial for improving the efficiency and lifetime of the battery energy storage system in near-space vehicles. In this paper, the SoC balancing control problem is investigated by a coupling battery model with electric-thermal-aging dynamics. Firstly, a system identification experiment is carried out to obtain the internal parameters of the battery. Secondly, a weight optimization index is designed by integrating the balancing speed and battery state-of-health (SoH). Then, a receding horizon control algorithm is proposed to realize multi-unit battery SoC balancing with partial swarm optimization (PSO). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation results.

In order to solve the problem that the accuracy assessment of a single data source is subject to multiple constraints, data fusion reliability evaluation model based on transfer learning was established. Take the high-confidence but small sample field test data as the target domain, the semi-simulation test data as the source domain. Using the principal component analysis to extract the features separately, then embedding the feature distribution in glassman manifold space as two points, construct geodesic flow curve to attach them. So as to achieve data fusion, map the source and target domain to a common space through the geodesic flow curve. Accuracy evaluation can be calculated by constructing confidence region of semi-simulation data. The example verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of this model. © VDE VERLAG GMBH.

ColorDynamic: Generalizable, Scalable, Real-time, End-to-end Local Planner for Unstructured and Dynamic Environments

Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) has demonstrated potential in addressing robotic local planning problems, yet its efficacy remains constrained in highly unstructured and dynamic environments. To address these challenges, this study proposes the ColorDynamic framework. First, an end-to-end DRL formulation is established, which maps raw sensor data directly to control commands, thereby ensuring compatibility with unstructured environments. Under this formulation, a novel network, Transqer, is introduced. The Transqer enables online DRL learning from temporal transitions, substantially enhancing decision-making in dynamic scenarios. To facilitate scalable training of Transqer with diverse data, an efficient simulation platform E-Sparrow, along with a data augmentation technique leveraging symmetric invariance, are developed. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art methods, alongside assessments of generalizability, scalability, and real-time performance, were conducted to validate the effectiveness of ColorDynamic. Results indicate that our approach achieves a success rate exceeding 90% while exhibiting real-time capacity (1.2–1.3 ms per planning). Additionally, ablation studies were performed to corroborate the contributions of individual components. Building on this, the OkayPlan-ColorDynamic (OPCD) navigation system is presented, with simulated and real-world experiments demonstrating its superiority and applicability in complex scenarios. With the advancement of industrial intelligence, the Industrial Internet has been widely used in energy, manufacturing and other important industries. In recent years, security incidents have occurred frequently in industrial control network, which means that maintaining industrial control network security has become more and more important. Intrusion detection technology can actively detect abnormal behavior in the network, and is an important means to ensure the security of industrial control networks. Presently, the intrusion detection technology of industrial control network has problems such as extreme imbalance of classes and redundant interference of traffic characteristics. This paper analyzes these problems and clarifies the existing solutions for different problems in principle. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper explores distributed neighbor selection in matrix-weighted networks, where a matrix-valued weight captures the interdependencies among agents’ states. We demonstrate the feasibility of preserving and, in certain cases, improving the convergence rate of matrix-weighted networks by having agents exclusively engage with a subset of their neighbors. Leveraging the inherent monotonicity of Laplacian matrix eigenvectors, we introduce a novel neighbor selection criterion that reduces network connections while enhancing convergence rates. Existing neighbor selection strategies often require acquiring information from all nodes before making decisions. In order to propose a distributed neighbor selection strategy for matrix-weighted networks, we establish a numerical relationship between Laplacian eigenvectors and a locally measurable metric. In essence, this paper extends prior findings from scalar-weighted networks to matrix-weighted networks.

This paper examines the cluster consensus design problem on higher-order interaction networks. Specifically, the higher-order interaction mechanism is captured by matrix-weighted networks that allow the interdependency across the dimensions of the agents' states, and the matrix-valued weight matrices $A_{ij}\in \mathbb{R}^{d\times d}$ associated with specific edges are further assumed to share the same nullspace for design purposes. Under mild assumptions on network connectivity, we first examine the case that the nullspace of positive semi-definite edges is spanned by a nonzero vector $\boldsymbol{\xi}\in \mathbb{R}^{d}$ and show that the predictable cluster consensus can be achieved, which is eventually located in the 1-dimensional linear space determined by span $\{\boldsymbol{\xi}\}$ and the average of agents' initial states. Moreover, the transient state of agents in each cluster can also be explicitly characterized. Namely, the derivative of the average state of agents in each cluster is perpendicular to span $\{\boldsymbol{\xi}\}$ . To generalize the above results, we proceed to examine the case that the nullspace of positive semi-definite edges is spanned by more than one linearly independent $d$ -dimensional vector, in which case, analogous results can be obtained, and the explicit geometric interpretation is also provided.
