Interactive medical image segmentation methods have become increasingly popular in recent years. These methods combine manual labeling and automatic segmentation, reducing the workload of annotation while maintaining high accuracy. However, most current interactive segmentation frameworks are limited to 2D image data, and are not suitable for 3D image data due to the large size and high complexity of 3D data, as well as the challenges posed by information asymmetry and sparse annotation. In this paper, we propose SliceProp, an interactive segmentation framework that implements slice-wise Label Bidirectional Propagation (LBP) for 3D medical image segmentation. SliceProp extends the interactive 2D image segmentation algorithm to 3D image segmentation, and can handle 3D data with large size and high complexity. Moreover, equipped with a Backtracking Feedback Check (BFC) module, SliceProp effectively addresses the issues of information asymmetry and spatial sparse annotation in 3D medical image segmentation. Additionally, we adopt an uncertainty-based criterion to pri-oritize the slices to be refined interactively, which enhances the efficiency of the interaction process by enabling the model to focus on the regions with the most unreliable predictions. SliceProp is evaluated on two datasets and achieves promising results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Most recent intelligent systems study the perception or policy modules independently but ignore the inter-connection between them, which results in low information efficiency and high network redundancy, in the end, leads to the incomplete utilization of network potential and poor system-level end-to-end intelligence. This paper proposes an integrated end-to-end network that adapts to multi-domain inputs and multi-function outputs. 'Integration' is defined in this paper in mainly three aspects: network structure level, optimization level, and functional level. The integrated network architecture is capable of fusing multiple raw sensory inputs and outputting multiple perceptions and decisions simultaneously. We first implement the integrated system in a virtual simulation environ-ment and investigate the domain transformation methods to real world. Comprehensive experiment results in both virtual and real environments show that our proposed system can behave normally under exploration, target-driven navigation and target shooting tasks. © 2022 IEEE.

Isoforms refer to different mRNA molecules transcribed from the same gene, which can be translated into proteins with varying structures and functions. Predicting the functions of isoforms is an essential topic in bioinformatics as it can provide valuable insights into the intricate mechanisms of gene regulation and biological processes. Conventionally, gene function labels are standardized in Gene Ontology (GO) terms. However, traditional methods for predicting isoform function are largely limited by the absence of isoform-specific labels, sparse annotations, and the vast number of GO terms. To address these issues, we propose HANIso, a deep learning-based method for isoform function prediction. HANIso leverages a pretrained protein language model to extract features from protein sequences. It also integrates heterogeneous information, such as isoform sequence features, GO annotations, and isoform interaction data, using a Heterogeneous Graph Attention Network (HAN). This allows the model to learn the importance of different sources of information and their semantic relationships through the attention mechanism. Our method can predict function labels at both the gene level and isoform level. We conduct experiments on two species datasets, and the results demonstrate that our method outperforms existing methods on both AUROC and AUPRC. HANIso has the potential to overcome the limitations of traditional methods and provide a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of isoform function. © 2023 IEEE.

For the regional search problem of multiple unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) ,a cooperative search strategy of multiple UAVs is proposed based on action matrix game (AMG) for intelligent moving targets on the ground in this paper. Based on the proposed AMG, the yaw angle and position information of the target is described in probability matrix, and the matrix is updated by Nash equilibrium and receding horizon control in every control cycle. Simulation results show that this strategy deduces the searching time for revisiting the reference target, and improves the success rate for moving targets searching. © 2022 IEEE.

Effect of Annealing Process Parameters on N-GaAs Ohmic Contacts

Ni/Ge/Ni/Au multi-layer metal electrodes were prepared on N-GaAs substrate by electron-beam evaporation to investigate the effect of annealing process parameters on N-GaAs ohmic contacts. In the annealing temperature range of 370 °C to 430 °C, the metal-semiconductor contact was found changing from Schottky contact to ohmic contact as the annealing temperature was above 380 °C. Specific contact resistivity of n-GaAs samples firstly decreased and then increased with the increasing of annealing temperature, and the minimum specific contact resistivity of 3.3×10-5 Ω·cm2 was formed at 420 °C annealing for 80 s. Although the specific contact resistivity of the metal-semiconductor contact performed satisfactorily, the surface morphology of the n-GaAs metal electrode was found having metal shrinkage after annealing. The formation mechanism of ohmic contact was qualitatively explained by the elements diffusion under different annealing parameters, which were confirmed by the comparative analysis of SEM and EDX results. © 2022, The Authors. Low-light enhancement task is an essential component of computer low-level visual tasks, which involves processing images captured under dim lighting conditions to make them appear as if they were taken under normal illumination. Currently, deep neural networks have become the mainstream approach for image processing. However, recent works have devoted considerable efforts to designing high-performance models, which often come with high computational complexity and inference time, making real-time processing unfeasible. We observed that some convolutional methods are due to the need for deep layers which results in a large number of parameters. Moreover, enhancing details and removing noise in low-light images remains an open challenge. In order to solve the above problems, we propose a lightweight baseline that combines CNN and sparse grid attention transformer blocks to enable the model to capture a global receptive field at an early stage. Specifically, we propose a High-Frequency Wavelet-aware Block(HFWB) that focuses on processing high-frequency information in the wavelet domain to refine details and suppress noise. With a processing time of only 10.6ms, the performance of our model outperforms that of the current state-of-the-art lightweight models on benchmark low-light datasets. Compared to state-of-the-art models in the LOL dataset, our model achieves a reduction in inference time of over 90% and requires only about 1% of the FLOPS. © 2023 IEEE.

A magneto-quasi-static (MQS) surface integral equation (SIE) formulation with loop analysis is proposed to extract the impedance of interconnects in packages. The loop analysis is developed with an independent and complete set of unknowns according to the graph theory, which can significantly reduce the dimension of the final matrix. With the pre-corrected fast Fourier Transform (pFFT), large-scale interconnects can be efficiently modelled. A practical example in packages is carried out to validate the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed formulation. Results show that the proposed formulation is accurate and flexible to model complex interconnects in packages compared with the industrial solver.

The coarse pointing assembly (CPA), as the outer loop of the laser terminal, its tracking stability is the basis for ensuring laser communication. This paper presents the model of the CPA. Aiming at the disturbance factors in the low-speed operation process of the CPA, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) method for the position loop of the CPA is designed based on the generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) to achieve disturbance compensation control. Finally, simulations are carried out on the system model. The simulation results show that compared with the PID control strategy adopted, the proposed ADRC strategy based on GPIO of the CPA can effectively improve the tracking accuracy.

Path planning is one of the most critical links in mobile robots. Its timeliness, security and accessibility are crucial to the development and wide application of mobile robots. However, in solving the problem of path planning, the most popular A* algorithm has some problems, such as heuristic function cannot be estimated accurately, node redundancy, path is not smooth, and obstacle avoidance cannot be achieved in real time. To solve these problems, A fusion algorithm of improved A* combined with reverse path and dynamic window method (DWA-IMP-A*) was proposed. The algorithm refines the heuristic function by incorporating the reverse path. The node optimization algorithm is used to further reduce the path length. The generated trajectories are smoothed by cubic spline interpolation. At the same time, it is integrated with the improved DWA algorithm to improve the efficiency and safety of robot path planning. The algorithm takes ROS mobile robot as the carrier and is tested under typical road conditions. Compared with A* algorithm, the planning time is reduced by 54.6% and the path length is reduced by 6.37%. Experimental results verify the effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm. The research results have certain reference significance for the path planning of various types of mobile robots and the research of driverless vehicles.
